This makes no sense whatsoever, each Pokémon should take out like 50 times what they say. But these guys carry a certain sense of whimsy, of which I am horrified to oppose.
This is my favorite comment.
You're forgetting, [Pokemon] fainted.
For all the Pokedex's bluster, few of these moves are actually deadly. A starter water type would annoy a lion before being ripped to pieces. A starter fire type might injure some, but they'll walk away to lick their wounds.
If the lions had to stay and fight to the death, they'd probably succumb to their wounds from a charmander, but I still think in a 1 on 1, they get the kill.
Perhaps under extreme circumstances, the more exceptional feats are possible, but less so in the heat of battle. A Machamp is gonna crack a few skulls, but the sheer numbers here limit his options. He's unlikely to flip any mountains. The setup is a little one-sided when all is said and done, in they all just end in a pile-on.
A lion isn't much less muscle than a Machop. Scale it up 15x and give it a load of mates, and most pokemon are going to face a problem.
There are some killcounts that are undeserved and others that are overly optimistic. The voltorb line, for example. Given that they actually survive their "explosion," we can assume they're not fragmenting, which means it's a gas expansion. At point blank, one or two might die, but any others would only be knocked out or concussed, which is what happens to your pokemon.
Blastoise might be able to cut steel beams, but how many? His water canons are usually more akin to a police water canon, so we can expect his steel cutter move uses more stamina, meaning he might get a kill on a handful before he's reduced to crowd control, cause his muscles are tired.
We've seen the effects of these moves for decades now. A handful of them truly are devastating, and would evaporate anything confined to the real world, but most are a nuisance or deterrent
fainted? fainting is jsut smthn they say to be pg taking hitmonlee its dex entry says "When kicking, the sole of its foot turns as hard as a diamond on impact and destroys its enemy." granted this is from gen 2 but u can assume he is just at strong in gen 1 . do you think a lion is tanking that? now to be clear hitmonlee tops out at maybe 30 lions before he is perhaps overwhelmed but he is still capable of far more than one lion. and machamp can shove mountains? where do u get the idea that he tops out at a few? ??? machamp is taking out at the bare minumum a few thousand. the minmum to be considered a mountain is 1000ft high and lets asume its 1000 feet high 10ft across (massive low ball) thats 10000 cubic feet of volume for a mountain or 283168.5 liters a lion averages out to about 173 liters that works out to about 1636 lions and thats with the massive lowball PLUS the fact that the materials in a mountain would be massively heavier than a lion so if we calculate dby weight itd be even higher. and before u argue that the fainting is not just a pg thing please note that when a pokemon is "fainted " the only reason it doesnt go further is becuse the trainers agree to stop@@mobbs6426

We see how brutal and fatal these moves can be in the Pokemon manga, where they don't need to censor for children. Pokemon moves kill tons of people and Pokemon alike. Moves like 'Slash' literally cut Pokemon in half💀 Flamethrower will actually burn you alive. Using game mechanics to make arguments for why these obscenely powerful beings can't kill just seems extremely disingenuous to me.
Even if the "Fainted" thing applied, these Pokemon are ridiculously more durable than Lions. Blastoise can blast through steal beams and random trashcan Pokemon dont die from it. Wouldn't that make them more durable than steel? Lions can beat them tho?😑
Same type of stuff applies to dozens of other situations. The gap between Pokemon and Lions is being underestimated

Exactly. In that one XY movie he literally almost kills the entire world. In the lore he supposedly killed everything in the Kalos region except for a few guys standing next to Xerneas once. Xerneas could choose to protect nearby Pokémon and no lions, and the lions would all instantly die. Hoopa can also surround itself with portals to space. This would protect it indefinitely and also get rid of the atmosphere, causing the lions but not Pokémon to die.
Exactly there’s just short of a dozen pokémon that can each win the whole thing by themselves.
Gardevoir is capable of creating black holes in Pokédex entries. I guess that thing could mess the Lions Up badly to 😂
idk man. i beat a guy in an online match using a yveltal and the entire world didn't instantly end, so it really seems like yveltal is just making shit up to sound scarier
mewtwo's telekinesis has insane range being able to reach as far as several kilometers in some cases, can 1 shot any lion, can fly, and you can't forget about other first-gen legends. mew has invisibility and also has crazy psychic powers, articuno can summon a blizzard, zapdos can summon a lightning storm, moltres can rain down fire upon the lions while flying safely above them, and dragonite can fly at so many times the speed of sound that just being near the ground would instantly obliterate any lions it got close to.

If the lions and up killing Dialga, it will end all of time as Dialgas existence is the flow of time. This will only leave arceus, palkia, and giratina left meaning the Pokemon win no matter what
if we're going by the rules set in the games, if dialga is defeated, either time distorts and the universe is allowed to be reshaped (as seen in pokemon diamond) leading to the lions winning, OR time freezes (as seen in pokemon mystery dungeon) leaving everything frozen, resulting in no true winner.
Would lions be able to reshape reality after time breaks down? It seems a lot more likely to me that the universe would implode @@orangeaurora
Dialga could also pause time and just step on all the lions and easily win by himself. Heck even celbi could could show up and take some out while everything else is paused.

According to Newtons laws of motion under ideal conditions the system (lion) would experience an initial acceleration pointing downward equal and opposite that of magikarps force pointing upwards. This will cause magicarp to have an upward velocity while the lion has a downward velocity that is the sum magnitude of magicarp but in the opposite direction with that of gravity. Magicarp will then hit the inside body of the lion which would cause an acceleration upwards but of lesser magnitudes than the initial jump due to heat loss, friction, and other factors. if the magicarp were to jump again any number of times the same process would repeat but every time the net acceleration would always be downwards.
The difference between this and flying is flying is with flying all forces originate from a single body. Also in a way a double jump is in a way a failed attempt at flying.

Ultra Necrozma’s has a body temperature exceeding 10,000 degrees Fahrenheit, can fire beams of light from every part of its body that can disintegrate everything in an 18 mile radius, and “Light that Burns the Sky” is *literally* a nuke. Necrozma is one of the many Pokémon that could solo the lions.

Dragonite should kill way more lions because it's very bulky, has tons of destructive potential in the games and the lore, can fly, is portrayed as a WMD by the anime, is Lance's ace, and is my favorite Pokémon of all time. Also he can be a mail courier for all the other Pokémon.

No one has an answer for Rayquaza literally just existing in the Ozone layer, living for eternity and only coming back down to take out hundreds to thousands of lions at a time, then going back up. The only thing people come up with is "that's cheating" as if it was a scenario purely based on arena fights or something else as brain-dead

I think a problem with the lion would win argument is that it requires the lions to be stupidly smart. Like what lion would think to form a 2 km lionladder? So im in camp pokémon here.

Finally a decent argument to consider...
a few (non legendary/mythical) pokemon i can think of that could actually oppose the lions:
-mr. mime. at least the standard version and not the galarian one, can erect psychic invisible barriers around itself. these barriers would likely confuse the lions into leaving it alone eventually.
-slugma and magcargo. its a cop out, yeah, but its a cop out for a reason. forget that magcargos temperature would kill any lions that even approach it, how is a lion-- something that attacks with teeth and claws-- supposed to hurt a slugma, something made of magma.
this also goes for most pokemon not made of standard matter. i can excuse something like gastly or koffing, since despite being made of gas, that is still matter. but theres other cases besides slugma of mons unbeatable solely due to unusual physiology.
-stakataka is said to be made of extremely durable metals, to the point that a lions bite or scratch would likely bounce right off. the lions pouncing on it would be difficult since it can seperate into many indivudual segments to regroup and avoid being smothered. this logic likely also applies to copperajah given its huge size and massive strength would likely dissuade any kind of smothering attempt.
-pinsir is given wings upon mega evolution, and is said to never ever land. the same is said of mega salamence. if mega evolution is allowed in this hypothetical, the lions wouldnt be able to catch up with either of them.
-on the topic of megas, mega camerupt also has a load of lava coming off of it. lions cant do anything about that, nevermind how the pokedex implies camerupts BLOOD is magma. megas are messed up, man.
-grimer and muk are made of smelly toxic sludge. if the lions arent repulsed by the smell into retreating, their amorphous bodies would make scratching nigh useless, and biting and smothering a death sentence for the lions. grimer and muk would likely be able to regenerate from these suicide attacks quite quickly in the lion/pokemon battlefield due to all the carnage, so while theoretically the lions could kill a muk, in practice i dont think they would manage to.
-porygon is said to be able to convert its existence into that of a computer, since its made of "virtual data". sure, a lion could destroy a computer, but by using the internet, a porygon could make it so the lions would have to destroy *all* computers, which i dont think lions have that kind of co-ordination. theyre smart animals, but not that smart.
-in paldea, you can find greavards living just underneath the surface, being unbothered by anything walking directly above it. its also said that being around a greavard drains your life force. a lion could absolutely kill a greavard, but the question is, can a lion FIND a greavard buried underground, with all the commotion around it, before its too late? this ones a toss-up but i felt like its worth mentioning. theres other life force stealing pokemon, but greavard is the only one i know that can hide in plain sight like that. good boy.
-if gigantamax is allowed, gmax eevee could easily pacify the lions with its odd powers before smothering them. also for gmax, gmax gengar of course has its mouth replaced with a portal to the afterlife, and as seen by its battle entry animation, can hide in the ground like greavard to avoid attack.
-speaking of, many pokemon live deep underground. larvitar are born deep under mountains for example, a place that lions would never be able to reach, no matter how many lions there are. though this doesnt matter if all the pokemon and lions are in an arena of some kind of course.
-iron jugulis is a paradox robot from an alternate world, and like its cousin hydreigon, is able to fly continuously. of course just flying above all the lions forever feels cheap, but an iron jugulis could hold its own against 3 lions at a time at LEAST, and also fly away if theres trouble. i dont think the lions could easily take one down, especially since contrary to its typing it IS made of metal. this is in contrast to something like a skarmory, which would eventually tire and succumb to the lions.
-smeargle is capable of learning any move, including things condusive to fighting hordes of lions, like spacial rend, or dark void, or perish song, stuff like that. cant get to smeargle if it can also learn teleport or fly. in fact, perish song's self-death effect would wear off upon teleporting by the games rules. it really is #1 sleeper pick.
some legendaries & mythicals too:
-lugia is said to be able to summon hurricane-like winds by just flapping its wings while willing itself to. considering it swims all the time i dont see it getting tired out while keeping the lions at a distance.
-melmetal, for the same reasons as muk. attacking it is futile, and it can easily regenerate if a lion gives its life to deal significant enough damage.
-groudon, should it be allowed to enter its primal form, is ALSO made of lava and would be unbeatable for the same reasons as slugma
-marshadow, like gmax gengar, can literally live in shadows. as long as even one lion lives, marshadow can hide in its shadow, waiting for its chance to strike.
-regieleki is made of lightning. its a living ball of plasma. same deal as with slugma, even supposing a lion could land a hit i dont think it would matter.
-the lions could kill yveltal, but then yveltal would kill every lifeform around it. there are pokemon known to be already dead, like yamask and greavard, so the pokemon win by default. this is ALSO a cop out but its the case. for the hypothetical i think its better to just leave yveltal out, man is already busy dealing with all the dead pokemon and dead lions.
-victini would be on the side of the pokemon of course, and its said that having victini on your side assures victory. lions lose.
-of course you have the classic giratina cop out of it hiding out in the distortion world causing the lions to never win, but i can do one better: should necrozma steal the light in the world, the lions would succumb to the negative effects caused by lack of light after some time. the same applies to kyogre's flood and groudon's drought, but while kyogre and groudon can be directly confronted, giving the lions a fighting chance (if groudon isnt primal that is...), necrozma can open ultra wormholes on demand to escape and/or throw lions into to kill them. i talk more about the treasures of ruin later, but if it teams up with wo-chien, then chien-pao or chi-yu it could heavily exascerbate the problem. the lions could kill wo-chien relatively easily, but by the time they did the damage would be done and the lions would collectively be at a massive disadvantage.
-arceus has the power to shape the world to its liking so it can erase all the lions. harsh, cheap, lame, but true.
-eternamax eternatus, if anything, despite being by the numbers the strongest pokemon to ever exist, would act more as support to the rest of the pokemon, by causing the darkest day & allowing (read: forcing) them to dynamax to increase their power. it also floats in the sky within a giant vortex and couldnt be on the ground with the lions if it wanted to, so i doubt the lions could do anything about it.
-if the stories are true about the treasures of ruin, they could all cause major issues for the lions. though chi-yu would be the only truly unbeatable one by nature of also being made of fire, id say ting-lu is the sleeper pick for being able to cause fissures and reshape its body by using the earth, thus being able to protect its true body, the bowl on its head, by manipulating the earth around it.
-if someone wishes to jirachi for the defeat of all lions the lions' fate would be sealed.
Why did I read all of this? I'll tell you why. This is a masterpiece. I am fully convinced that the Pokemon would win easily

All in all it feels kinda arbitrary how you guys count the pokemon abilities and capabilities. You'd gain a noticeable increase in views and subscribers if you'd put just a little research and effort into the match ups.
Exactly, Rhyhorn just charges straight through the horde until it reaches the other end or succumbs to accumulated damage from side swipes as it was charging through.
Last time I checked, lions aren't skyscrappers, duh.

The weather trio is still fair game though, because their stuff is mentioned in game plot, not just pokedex. I think rule of boring makes it so they need to get axed though.

Some stuff is completely stupid, like Magcargo's temperature. But in general when it's something observable and measurable I would take it as fact.

In the movies we often see Mew and Mewtwo struggling with both of them very close. Usually Ash and Pikachu save the place from destruction with the power of friendship.
The vines grow infinitely, this doesn’t state that they must be attached to Tangela. There’s a world where the lions eat these vines and they keep growing and rupture their stomachs.
The Legendaries are mostly the significant ones, with some other like smeargle that have unquie traits that makes it op as well
My one question is what is it that stops Mewtwo at 1000000? Because I think him, and the other legends could go farther

@@christophermonteith2774 even so, there is no repetitive argument the other two will follow that. And in a proper battle, is a gunner just gonna stop firing when he kills 20 people? No. Seeing as for every other Pokémon they are giving it benefit of the doubt, they would probably look over that

One thing that is impossible to account for is the lion bodies on the ground that would become very challenging to cross over time. Also given the only animals on this planet are the lions or Pokémon, many lions would starve to death because they can only survive about 2 weeks without food and given that eating another dead lion only transfers around 10% of its energy over the course of the two years it takes for lions to be born almost all of the lions would have starved to death while pokemon could survive by eating Tangela or parts of the producer pokemon such as flowers, eggs, leaves, and berries.
even though these judgments are completely stupid, im gonna continue happily watching this series
I believe one of the arguments for the lions is that the pokemon will run out of PP and be forced to kill themselves with struggle ignoring any other flavor the pokemon series has to offer like yvetals pokedex entry and arceus being god
Or Necrozma absorbing all of the light *in an entire universe,* which even lowballed, means that Necrozma is capable of destroying *an entire solar system.* A billion lions *isn't even moon level,* lol...
or how lions being animals, not pokemon, means they have no moves at all, and if we wana use game logic, any contact with a pokemon while you have no pokemon in your party is an instant white out, meaning lions auto lose using game logic.
I feel like you didn’t take ryhorns durability into account. He’s MADE OF ROCK. Can ANY amount of lions damage rock? This also reaches any Pokémon made of rock or steel by proxy.
a big rock takes 20,000 psi to break, and a lion bite has 650 psi, so if about 31 lions bit ryhorn he would probably die
@@reapzer doesn't work that way.
But I think a fair approach to this is to give Pokemon level 50 or the level where they evolved, whichever is higher, and they have that many hit points.
A Rhyhorn is going to take one point of damage from any bite a lion lands on it, but delivering that point of damage is going to destroy the lion's teeth and drastically reduce its battle power, basically taking it out of the fight.
So Rhyhorn takes at least 500 or so lions, and that's before accounting for Rock Slide and Earthquake that should be able to sow a lot of destruction before it charges.
@@reapzer It would take abt 31 lions to dmg :) I will be generous, and say ryhorn is lvl 1 with 10 hp, still 310 lions required minimum not accounting for the rock getting sand or whatever to heal it over time.
@@priestesslucy3299but that’s assuming the Pokémon have the battle rules set by the games. And normal lions cannot fight/will not fight by those same rules because, who’s to say that a normal type tackle or dark type bite isn’t some kind of “magically” enhanced tackle/bite that is specific and exclusive to Pokémon? And also that would mean that any and every lion has to take its own turn and cannot do anything besides 1 of 4 actions in a predetermined order. And they literally can’t do that. I feel like the most logical way to go about this whole “debate” is if you make it a true battle Royale and have it be based on/in the real world without any of the Pokémon turn based fighting rules. Because if you try to make the Pokémon fighting rules apply, then earthquake on primal Groudon just kills every single lion because it hits everyone else. The argument that it can only hit 5 other Pokémon because that’s all we’ve seen it do is stupid because the description of the move explicitly states that it’s every other entity on the battlefield. And that would apply, because we are adhering to the Pokémon battle rules in this hypothetical scenario. So the only real way this could happen is to disregard the Pokémon battle rules.
Ok and what are they gonna do about arceus, dialga, palkia, giratina, all the ultra beasts and ultra necrozma?
Step 1. Lions build a church
Step 2. Expand the church to the other lions recruiting them under the new religion.
Step 3. Worship an omnipotent lion god and have it combat the other Pokémon for its people (lions)
Step 4. Lions create armor and enchanted equipment using their holy blessings from the lion god, and fight harder while being motivated (the power of lion Christ compels them)
Step 5.Profit.
Easy win.
Extra steps to guarantee victory.
- Convert some of the Pokémon to place doubt in the Pokémon gods crippling their faith
- invest in space travel and exploration to find the space lions. Using the space lions to destroy the sun, completely preventing ultra necrozma.
- build lion Railgun to eliminate the ultra beast.

The Dex can say any number of things, but since it is never depicted, neither on the games or the anime nor any other official medium it is safe to assume the feats in the dex are plainly wrong and at most amount to folklore or gossip.

@@nitromiyazakiLions aren't Pokémon, they don't operate with the same mechanics as Pokémon, moves Pokemon use run on a certain amount of energy they expend when used for battling purposes and have to be taught or remembered.
Lions have no such thing outside their natural Stamina, and as a matter of fact, Lions can only bite a certain number of times, it's just that unlike Pokémon, any action they do gets expended from a general pool of energy rather than a single one.
Now of course, all these aside, moves and such are just abstractions of what a Pokémon can do, still, they denote that even the most powerful of Pokemon still have limits, specially when it comes to battling, and PP is usually lesser the more powerful a move is, thus it is safe to assume that they just represent how much it exhausts a Pokémon.
Another thing to consider is the scope of moves, in games this also suffers from abstraction, but most moves hit only a single target and the ones who don't are bound to target in close proximity, hence why everytime you use surf, earthquake, etc. you don't see towns, building, or any other structure or people suffer damage from them. You can also see this with Triple battles, where moves don't damage opposite-side Pokémon despite them all being in the same battle-field.

No. It surely charges through the entire skyscraper putting a rhyhorn shaped hole in the whole bottom floor of the skyscraper. A Rhyhorn would charge through the horde of lions while the unaffected lions try to stop it, which they do by clawing at a rock basically. if the lions are charging in with rows of 1000 to be the same width as the pokemon, Rhyhorn can charge through 1,000,000 lions before reaching the end, then maybe it goes for seconds. There's no way Rhyhorn gets less than 250,000 kills, I'd say maybe it gets up to ~750,000 kills before the lions finally chip away at it enough.
Counter-argument:
Every bite the lions land deals 1 point of damage (but breaks their teeth so heavily handicaps those lions in the process.) How many kills does Rhyhorn get before it succumbs to sufficient bites?
For a mid-point we could make all Pokemon level 50? 🤷♀️

yes, but you're assuming that it would instantly die upon doing so. Why would any of the other very powerful pokemon let their flying tanks immediately die. I'm sure Mewtwo could deal with the lions long enough for the birds and dragons to get rest, after all, only so many lions can fit in a certain space, so the flow of lions will be restricted. So pokemon like Moltres etc. should have waayyyyy higher kill counts.

When people say they are attracted to vaporeon, I'm pretty sure they mean it with a pretty low bar: "Yeah that's vaguely arousing" which I also assume it reaches because the tail has the following 2 traits: 1 it looks smooth to touch, which some people find appealing (remember the low bar) and 2 it reminds people of mermaids (again, low bar). If perish song doesn't work on lions because they're not pokemon then it doesn't really make sense that their bites would work on ghost types. Humans can't bite ghost type pokemon just because it's a bite. Either the lions get pokemon rules or they don't, seems inconsistent to me.
Pokemon can be hit by physical attacks that aren't Pokemon moves, and if they catch the Ghosts off guard it's possible. Do we have proof of a Ghost getting hit by a human attack?

A lion is just a Tera normal Pyroar that can only use normal type moves! Just plug in a billion of those into a damage cal vs 1 of each pokemon and settle this already. I would do it but i dont have the patience. My hypothesis is no matter what you throw at them their sheer numbers will over power the pokemon in the end.

Pee is liquid, water is a liquid. Rhyhorn has a 4x weakness to Water. So we can assume that at the very least a lion peeing on a Rhyhorn would do more than 1 point of damage. The problem comes when you take Rhydon, Rhyperior (Solid Rock), and Geodude's evolution lines into account. That's a lot of pee.

I think you missed the opportunity for showing a clip of shadow mewtwo. Even if you say shadow mewtwo is 10x stronger than mewtwo, mewtwo is still killing 100 million lions bare minimum with that attack.
