I have been to the West Bank and Israel. I have spoken to both Palestinians and Israelis. These settlements have to go in order to ever have any hope for anything resembling peace.

I was there in late 2018, in Jerusalem to be exact, as a tourist. Israeli warned me not to go to Palestinian because its too dangerous and i might not came back alive. Despite of this warning and have a passion of meeting new people, i went there and to my surprise its way far from what Israeli told me. The hospitality is unbelievable, i ate different Palestinian food and spend 0 dollar

These settlements are illegal. That is not complex. It is a crime under international law. After that, what makes it okay for them to not only occupy stolen land but act violently towards their Palestinian neighbors? What is complex about that? It is also a crime.

The Jewish communities in the West Bank are all in Area C, which are under full Israeli government and security by mutual agreement of the PA and Israel under Oslo.

Perhaps this professor is unaware that under the Geneva Conventions, an occupier cannot move populations to territory taken during war. It doesn't matter what either side thinks, every colonial-settler in the West Bank and East Jerusalem is violating international law and should be forced to leave.

In the minds of most educated people that are under 30, every situation can be simplified to an “oppressed vs oppressor” dichotomy…it’s a tenet of Marxism. The boss vs the employee, the colonizer vs the inhabitants, investment class vs working class…and it’s very appealing to young people because you can stand in the back and signal via social media that you are in the side of the oppressed while simultaneously bringing nothing forward to unwind the complexities of the situation.

Our foreign policy has greatly influenced our domestic policy. We borrow money to pay for war. Weapons manufacturers make a fortune. The public pays for all of it plus the interest on the loans. Because interest is so high there is no money for anything else. The US is broke.
