  • Iraq has denounced the United States for a drone strike its capital, Baghdad. A spokesperson for Iraq's prime minister said the attack was pushing his government to end the mission of the US-led coalition in the country, describing the mission as a source of instability in his country. The strike killed three members of a powerful Iran-backed militia, including its leader, and was conducted without prior consulation with Iraqi authorities.

Their announcements are mostly to reinforce the false notion that it's sovereign - and aren't occupying south Kurdistan. Hence, they allow Turks and Iran to bomb and kill Kurds then make an announcement about them breaching Iraqi sovereignty without doing anything else. Kurdistan is the elephant in the room and their all in cahoots with each other against it.

So, YOUR responsible for this decision to target Iranian backed militants in Iraq. I thought it was the federal govt of the United States that chooses what to do and keeps making unpopular decision like staying in Iraq even though the majority of Americans want to withdraw from the Middle East.

The U.S. is participating in international relations, and in IR, sometimes you get bitten. This happens. And you can bite back, it is perfectly, totally fine. However, when people say 'the US is defending itself' it frames the sentence like the country is under attack, when in reality, its people would be much safer if only they stayed inside their continent, which is reserved only for the country itself. The next move is Iraqs. The drone strikes did not scare Bagdad although the anti-americans naturaly make a show of outrage. Terrorists thrive on chaos, division and weakness. Rhetoric like Daniel's helps the terrorists, especially if it is adopted by American alies. America may leave but then you'll see real chaos. The Iraqis aren't pulling their weight. Maybe the US should leave.

The Iraqi government has been "threatening" to kick out U.S. forces from their country to the media, but behind-closed-door meetings, they reaffirm that the U.S. stays.
