Archewell Foundation found delinquent over unpaid fees

- The charity founded by Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan, has been found delinquent in California and cannot raise money because the state has determined Archewell Foundation has not paid its annual registration fees or submitted an annual report. A source close to Archewell told NBC News that the group’s initial check was lost in the mail but payment has been resubmitted.

They are 1 year late. When the US charity regulator declares your organization as 'delinquent', bans it from soliciting or disbursing charitable funds, and tells you its registration may be suspended or revoked, I would say it's pretty serious

Once a charity gives anyone employed by them bonuses, then it shouldn’t be classed as a charity.

The required fees and reports were not filed for 2022 and 2023. Shutting down a charity is the very last resort. They are given many, many notices and opportunities to comply. The May notice was the last opportunity.
This makes me wonder about Harry’s insistence on seeing his dad and demanding Camilla not be there.

Not mentioned in the report is that they aren't just delinquent for 1 year but 2 as this is the second year the required paperwork & fees have not been paid. As the AG's letter was issued May 3, they must have known they couldn't do any fund raising in Nigeria yet Archwell literature & meetings were held by them as well as for the Invictus Games. Hopefully the IRS will now do a complete forensic audit!

This timing looks awfull with their private visit in Nigeria under Archewell foundation, even if they can fix this issue. Nigerians are not pleased about their visit as well. Harry and Meg didn't focus on the real problems they face in that country.

If their mission is just to show up and by this, "do good", then it's little wonder Meghan got the shock of her working life when she went on the Royal Tour to Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand in 2018 representing the late Queen, only to be followed by The South Africa Royal Tour in early 2019. These tours are planned in great detail years in advance to showcase what the Host Nation wants to project to the World, be it local visits to schools, hospitals, factories etc., or official receptions, cultural displays, staged location photo-ops for tourism, sporting events etc. Ask the Press Corps who cover these tours, it's anything but an easy ride for them and all they have to do is keep up with all the events from mid morning to mid to late evening. Poor Meghan, no-one asked how she was feeling.

A British High Commissioner did clarify that their visit was of a private nature and were not representing the Commonwealth or the Crown. In other words, someone needs to answer for the use of public funds for a private visit and apparently this visit was extremely expensive. Additionally, the visit under the Archewell Foundation umbrella may also be an issue due to its current delinquent status. The status of the foundation has been questionable since 2023.

I secretly go out at night, and place letter with 8 quarter, untaped, send to Marvel Comics in California. I 5 year old. 2 week later, I get a BIG king size 'Fantastic 4' comic. My mom see it come in the mail. No one ask any question. Maybe in 2024, 'hijack' letter from Duke and Duchess net a pretty penny, in the future. That would be they excuse . . no?
