Great old fashioned ground. The Warwick Road end reminds me of Tranmere's 'cowshed' end which also (pre-Taylor report) used to have three pitched roof sections joined together. I support Tranmere and always feel at home at Brunton park. Decent folk Cumbrians. Great channel by the way.

Great video. Carlisle played one season in the old First Division back in 1974-5 and were top of the league after winning their first 3 games (the only time in their history).

I usually go to Brunton Park 4 times a season, I go to the first league game of the season, my Dad was at the record attendance Versus Middlesbrough, Me, Josh and Dad were at the game against Aldershot where Carlisle broke the record attendance for the conference, I think the crowd was 11,500, it was the 2nd semi final of the play off to get back into league 2,Carlisle won on penalties after a 2-2 draw, the final was played at Stoke city, but I cant remember who Carlisle played, I've heard (please don't quote me on this) that Carlisle were the first team to beat Celtic after Celtic won the European cup in 1967, I think it was a pre season friendly which Carlisle won 2-0,my first Carlisle game was in 1984 the game was a Tuesday night game against Leeds that was in the old second division, Carlisle were 2-0 up with 8 minutes to go and the game ended in a 2-2 draw, thanks for covering Carlisle United, this is Choppy in Whitehaven, Cumbria, England

I love the 'old fashioned' grounds. Not been to a match but have visited the ground 'outside'. Would you do a piece about Maidenhead United's ground at York Road. Thanks

It hasn't had much development since 1909 so it's proper old school.

Looking forward to going there again next season, even though it's a long trip.
We've been on the open terrace a couple of times, but are usually in the East Stand. As can be seen from the photos, that overhangs a bit and doesn't face the pitch quite squarely; due to the fact that it was built as part of a plan to develop the whole stadium and move the pitch further away from Warwick Road.
Two seasons ago, in L2, we had a Newcastle Utd player, 'Billy' Elliott Anderson on loan and, as N.U.F.C. weren't playing that day, we were joined by a large and noisy contingent of the 'Toon Army'.
Once, when we stayed over, we went to a Folk & Blues club held in one of the Main Stand function rooms on the Friday night. I won the raffle; the prize being two free tickets for the next event. When I told them I'd not be there as I was only in Carlisle that weekend to support Bristol Rovers, I got a booing - but they gave me a CD instead!
I guess it'd be rude for me not to suggest you do a video about The Memorial Stadium. Our having been originally the tenants of Bristol Rugby (Union) Club there, then being joint-owners before buying them out and their becoming our tenants still rankles some egg-chasers I know - even though they now ground-share with Bristol's junior professional football club (est. 1982) at their Trashton ground!
    Up The Gas!

Brunton Park has a certain character of it's own. Though today it looks old-fashioned, dated and could do with a revamp. I have only been there once last August, found it to be a friendly club, with a scenic view of the Northern Cumbrian mountain range:

Nice pictures when the stadium was over flooded
Strange that the new built all seat section has a big part outside the field 😂
