the noises David make towards the end of Born Under Punches are so damn cathartic
I bought this album after work. Later that night John Lennon was shot. This album still moves so many deep feelings in me.
Damn, Belew's fucking lead guitar tone (and playing) on The Great Curve. Just wow.
This album is so fucking awesome!
This holds ALL THE WAY up. A desert island recording.
Pretty much. Still delivering, and all this time.
Had the pleasure of seeing Angelique Kidjo perform this at Carnegie 2 years ago...with a guest appearance by David Byrne. Great show!
My favourite talking Heads album
Facts are lazy and facts are late
Love the band
40 years of brilliance
LOVED them live when Belew was with them. He'll melt your face with Byrne and company.
STILL mind-blowing...
super sick lovely
my favorite MIND album of all times
the great curve and i loose absolut control of myself i LOVE this album since 1980 never let me down
T.heads Rome 1980 check it out
Well, yes , I do , remember those acid trips listening to ……. this. Time past , still here, look around you differently.
I'm not sure if this is the absolute best Talking Heads album (it's terrific and Adrian Belew's the man), but this is timeless music from a generation before me that has just been completely lost in time. We need to find a way to get back to invigorating, exciting stuff like this. The music industry is dead.
The year of _Raging Bull_ -- two things that summed up the 70s and presaged the 80s.
EXCELLENCE
Holy shit this madness
I remember buying this album at the store back in 1984. The moment I saw the cover, I was haunted by their faces stained in red. It turned out to be an excellent record. I will never regret acquiring it at that time. It brought me down to earth more than once when I heard it. It's very realistic, down-to-earth music.
U must be older
Oh yess let's engage
Amazing album! Never gets old.
This is a high water mark in recording music history in my opinion. Post-punk, New-wave I don't know what genre this is, but it is an album that is hard to beat! Breathtaking ...xxx
King Kook Thank Brian Eno. He mixed Byrne in with instruments.
Seriously, still one of the greatest albums of all time. Thank you for reminding me.
talking heads dude
Oh man! This song brings back memories, I was a young man, Lol, you thought I was going to past trip.
❤️Brian Eno❤️
40 years of brilliance
The artwork looks like when my rosacea flush comes in.

best album ever..
Take a look at these hands!! They're passing in-between us!
The hands of a government man! 🙌
Bravo!!
Brilliant!
Thanks man,this is a treasure.
Totally!
Hell yeah! His best!
Saludos :)
lo bueno brilla in eternum..
This is great quality
Krank Loves It !
The Talking Heads------------ Wonderfully weird.
Highly recommended by Trent Reznor. : )
Thanks, found! Luca

Hey some dude said this on the radio right now coincidence?
The only reason why I'm here 😂
Brought me here it did. And first song reminds me of the end of a pretty hate machine track.
Yup. The end of “kinda I want to”. Had to look it up and make sure I was thinking of the right song
Eno working those dials....
not brian?
ok then , eno. where was fripp?
When Eno starts glitching out over the "listening wind" Belew guitar work, so nice :)
Powerful
want more ?
my life i the bush of ghosts - byrne/eno
king crimson - discipline & beat
David Ryan Not to mention Afrodisiac by Fela Ransome-Kuti, which Eno introduced the band to and directly influenced this album!
Can - Soon Over Babaluma
Japan - Tin Drum

@@user-my2sm7ms7z Suppose I can look into the can.
Fear of Music fits in this too. At least most of it
...Fela Kuti lives on.
best eva ! ;)
The best composite between these people when they made this.
yea 4 m 2
I think one can only really appreciate it, if you were of that era, so one has some understanding and compassion, even to support such musical creativity. It's remarkable because it's so kinda new wave punk for want of a better description. Plus, David Byrne, in my opinion, is quite an aware spiritual being. Perhaps, what he has brought to us is to shift in our consciousness. That's what his, and his beautiful amazing musicians_ it's clearly a collaborative effort!! _ have done for me, and millions and millions!! We love you. xx Peace and Love and Light xx
That bass tho
causes my head to

Superbe concert .
The artwork looks like when my rosacea flush comes in.
The shrooms brought me back here. 😮😅😂😂😂😂😮😂😂😂
Love Eno 2nd vocals
Notice how Eno's are more up front in the first chorus (the government) then David's slowly rise up in the mix and are the most prominent by the end (the person controlled by the government who wants to be human.) Even more haunting is that they're singing the same "message" meaning different things and David's spazz outs while funny are also deeply saddening
I feel like an accident...........excellent stuff
got the message from the oxygen
Adrian Belew makes some crazy sounds. Check out the Rome concert of the tour, best ever.
Seen (and heard) at the Palalido in Milan three days before (December 15, 1980)!
seen the Bologna concerto (82)
@@sipsun8 me too brother !
@@sciarrillo Grande! Fantastico!!
Cari saluti
Definately an album Kramer from Seinfeld would own.
And Thom Yorke!

The two songs are intertwined
Alquife.
Rather a scrupulously exhaustive description section. Are you one of their intellectual property lawyers or just related to one by marriage?

"1080p - 60fps" ... lol
Çà groove mais trop répétitif
A mon oreille decollee
there were an awful lot of crappy records made around then. this was not one of them.
Justin Timberlake brought me here
Same i knew about talking heads, but never listened to them because i thought they were just another new wave 80s "punk" band..after the interview i came here and it's totally the opposite
