In 1986, this sounded like a first take or a demo version of a song. Fast forward to 2024 and it has not aged at all well. Also, what is with the placeholder chorus?! Such low effort mediocrity from a phenomenal talent.

A friend of mine had this album. What a treat! To this day "made him look even more foolish than Nature intended" is one of my favorite lines, while "Outside the Sun is Shining (But It's Raining in My Heart)" is almost too good.

this song gets me every time when the lower bass enters the room... that melody is simple and so mesmerizing to me.

The guitar sound in this version of Mongoloid is my favorite guitar sound.

One of the great instrumental breaks in rock history, starting around 3:35. Existential dread. Crocus Behemoth at perhaps his most behemothest. Then, almost abruptly, a controlled, quiet finish. Such a shame Ubu has never gotten it's due.
