How to connect a dishwasher to a water outlet - single or shared with washing machine

Great video but I'm curious. Could you run the dishwasher and washing machine at the same time by using the y shaped splitter or would that cause issues?

thanks Super informative! I've went on a purchase this Y valve, but the problem is I don't have space for both connection, because both, by dishwasher and my washing machine have this massive connection which you have only here for the dishwasher, any suggestion on how to solve thi?
Also..when I scew in the Y valve, this ends up horizontal to the wall so one of the opening is facing the wall, how can I solve this?
