Better Call Saul is the prequel to the award-winning series Breaking Bad, set six years before Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) became Walter White's lawyer. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside, and often against, Jimmy is "fixer" Mike Erhmantraut (Jonathan Banks), a beloved character introduced in Breaking Bad. The series will track Jimmy's transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts "criminal" in "criminal lawyer."

Lalo was the Salamanca who put fear in Gus and thanks to giving Hector the bell his uncle would bring the fear back to Gus's face.
Yep Lalo,Hector,Jesse, and Walter all played key parts in finally ending Gus
@@kingclampz6081eh Jesse was a clueless idiot
He's a ghost
Ding ding ding ding
@@MrLee-oj6ozit annoyed the hell out of Don Eladio
Thankfully it cut at 2:10 before anything tragic happened to Howard🙏🏻
He is saved! 🎉
He went home like Kim said and saved his marriage
Made it scarier u see the gun pop in frame n u kno hes not even a lefty. Just smoked him to show he was serious.
I actually skipped ahead thinking they would show it. The worst death on the show i think.
The 'Tell Me Again' scene is by far the most psychologically breaking scenese ever. I can't remember well, but I think Jimmy told the lie almost perfectly every time he told the story. Favorite scene tbh
Lalo almost nailed it by scaring Jimmy he would take his time to question him again and again until he finds out the truth, only saved by Kim that she realized Lalo just bailed out do not have much time to stay in US, that he actually do not have much time to waste by distraction
Perhaps the scene where Hannibal is dining with Gideon, would alter your perspective. Unless if you mean only in BB, or BCS.
Tony Dalton just perfectly injects psychopathy into Lalo, it’s almost obscene. What a fantastic actor and memorable character.
It's like Ted Bundy energy
It's because he isn't that at all. Sometimes what an actor isn't is great in a character that is nothing like them.
@@bigguy7353 So true. I know too many stories of wholesome actors who play captivating maniacs on screen.
Lalo was so dangerous because he didn’t give off any signs of psycho vibes unless you cross him or know him personally. Could easily manipulate his way into certain situations with his charisma, but then strikes for the kill
That's because he *is* a serial killer. He's definitely someone who don't want to cross on street
He’s more a deadly criminal than truly a serial killer in what this means now, he’s not like Ted Bundy for example
@@Charlie-Charlot Lalo is by definition a serial killer. Killed more than 3 people within the span of a month, and there was ample cooldown time between the killings. He just so happens to be a cartel member on top of that.
It's probably fine to cross him on the street, as Lalo had a lot more restraint than his family...
... Just don't cut him off in traffic.
He's like ted bundy
@@-psilo-9071nah, Lalo wasn't a necrophile and didnt kill people for fun. Ted Bundy was worse
The best villain in the breaking bad universe hands down.
Nah, that title belongs to Walter White
@PolishGod1234 Gus Fring is a better and more intimidating villain than Walt. Walt only outsmarted Gus because of his hatred for Hector and also because Mike wasn't there when Walt planted the bomb on Hector's wheelchair.
@@retrogamermax8287 Walt is a better villain due to his complexity and character development.
@@PolishGod1234 Walt and Gus is bored 🥱
@@Mexica-Revolution Lalo is overrated
Imagine a prequel from Lalo. It would be amazing! I would watch six seasons of Lalo just smiling and doing his stuffs.
Tbh I'd just love a prequel on the Salamancas where we get to see their rise to power in the cartel.
@@jaskrip idk dude i dont think theyd base an entire show around these psychopaths, like what would it even be? they probably had no character development they just wanna cut heads off lol (more or less, im sure theres depth to them but not enough for a seperate show like walt and saul got)
ughh no more prequels. that would just be jumping the ceiling.
5:10 bro such a menace he almost made the fish tell the story
Don Eduardo: a true contender to the throne of Eladio.
He has exactly what Eladio had. Charisma, authority, an eye for details. Had he not been murdered he would have been the next kingpin, no question.
Glossed over the biggest one: when he littered his soda.
easily one of the worst things he's done
I stopped watching at that point. I’m sorry Vince. Your biggest mistake.
Lalo Salamanca. The most likeable and charismatic serial killer you could ever hope to meet, and the best tv villain of all time. Behind that winning smile are rows of razor sharp teeth. And yet despite all that, the man is such a badass that if he offered me a job, I'd just have to work for him! 😁
It wouldn't be an offer.
One of the best vilains ever made
2:08 The good ending. “Think I’m in the middle of something.. There’s really no need to-“ “Ah, I change my mind.”
Nothing shows Lalos true evilness more than him littering outside Los Pollos Hermanos
So Lalo giving off the exact appropriate vibes.
He might not be a serial killer in the nitty-gritty Criminal Minds-esque definition of one, but he's definitely a psychopath who's killed a lot of people and even took a trophy from one (the bell).
I'd say he meets more of the criteria for sociopathy than psychopathy. Definitely on the ASPD spectrum.
Lalo didn’t kill the man he took the bell from. Hector did, iirc
@@lancenwokeji6349 He still went back in a burning building to take a trophy. And it's not exactly clear how involved he was in the guy's death. I doubt he just stood there while Hector tortured the guy without a little bit of participation.
@@WhenBoredomHits Every sociopath is evil but not every evil person is a sociopath. There's a difference.
@@stairwaytoheaven8 Lol, I never said all sociopaths are evil, nor did I say that "evil" people are all sociopaths! I just said that Lalo fits the DSM criteria for sociopathy more than psychopathy. And no, not all sociopaths or psychopaths are confirmed as "evil." There are definitely people who have ASPD that have learned to control their "bad" impulses and put their behaviors towards more "pro-social" things (Surgeons, bomb dismantlers, other high adrenaline, high stakes jobs, etc.)
Still waiting for a Lalo spin off show
Lalo was the scariest and most versatile of the Salamancas.
2:10 that cut was too funny
He changed his mind
Lalo is absolutely a psycho. He has killed people for no good reason other than he could. The Travel Wire employee is the best example.
And Howard Hamlin
@@kereminanofficial tbf with howard he probably killed him cause he was a witness and didn't want to take chances. But yeah he could have waited or something
Is he? When he killed the two smugglers, he could have taken ALL of the money, but he gives it back to the people in the van and even tells them sorry and a heads up that they need to find a new route, he didnt even need to tell them that. A true psycopath would disregard those thoughts and only look at what would serve their best interests. I don't know what to fully make of Lalo which is awesome, its hard to put a specific label on him.
@@REDEEMERWOLF A psychopath doesn't necessarily need to be completely unreasonable or incoherent. They still have their values and beliefs, yet their morals and views are typically very distorted. Lalo was only kind to them because he saw the refugees as his people, and there part of the Salamanca clan. But he had no remorse murdering anyone who was not. Lalo saw no inherent value in lives.
He was scary as hell.
I literally had a dream last night that lalo Salamanca kidnapped my fiancée and she ended up falling in love with him.
Unfortunately both of those things would definitely be possible considering the man
He is a handsome fellow
That’s horrible. I’m sorry.
@@thewiseowl8804 it’s ok it was just a dream
Cucked hard
*You know your dealing with a sick person when you see a Salamanca Smiling...*
Given how incompetent the rest of the Salamancas were, they didn't deserve Lalo.
Hector and the Twins were quite competent, Tuco is a different question.
@@WhyTho525Tuco mightve been competent at some point but his mind is absolutely rotten with that cocktail of drugs.
@@WhyTho525agreed. But hector and lalo were the only smart ones
Werner Z-I-E-G-L-E-R
If Gus hadn't have killed Lalo, Lalo would have killed Heisenberg. They got a weird "Rock, Paper, Scissors" thing going there.
For sure he could make Walter 💩 his pants hands down
4:09 Lalo´s face
Lalo is like a cat. He’s charming but also cunning and ruthless, is stealthy and can jump down from great heights without injuring himself. 🐈
Edit: technically he is a serial killer
So are cats.
I mean, looking at it technically. He is actually a serial killer.
I wouldn’t be surprised if, back at his hometown, he established a reputation as a prolific ripper of some kind, and now uses that experience as an occupational skill in the cartel.
The tell me again scene is one of the most terrifying in TV history! We know Jimmy lied and neither Kim or Lalo appeared in breaking bad so we didn’t know what was gonna happen! I honestly thought Saul was gonna break
I love the way he can't run after the German and then does a sort of Steven Seagal waddle waddle after him.
The “take your time” always gets me 1:39
I love how this is titled like he isn't already a serial killer
Babygirl
the best villain in the breaking bad universe.
a perfect balance between psychopathy and charisma
Walter White is the man, true evil genius! Excellent character, Gus Fring is an intelligent and workaholic gangster, but Lalo Salamanca is the best villain in the Breaking Bad universe.
Walter is more developed than Lalo. Walt is the best villain in BrBa universe
@@PolishGod1234 Walter is bored 🥱
@@Mexica-Revolution bored?
Are we talking about the same guy who obliterated Neo Nazis with machine-gun turret? Walt is more epic and unpredictable than Lalo
@@PolishGod1234
The Nazis were just dumb sociopaths who just had the right connections.
Walt was just an egomaniac who unfortunately had luck on his side and having Saul Goodman as his lawyer.
Gus and Lalo were far more interesting and entertaining characters.
@@WhyTho525 nah, Walt was far more complex and interesting than Gus and Lalo put together, as well as more unpredictable. Cranston's acting makes Walt the most entertaining character.
I hope they don't ever change the thumbnail
3:01 Always loved this little gem in that scene
Taca, taca, taca, taca en mi caballo
Taca, taca, taca en mi caballo
The best way to describe Lalo would be to quote Kyle Reese:
“He can’t be bargained with! He can’t be reasoned with! He doesn’t feel pity or remorse! And he absolutely WILL NOT stop! EVER! Until you are DEAD!”
Lalo is the only reason i watched the show
the best villain ever made
Not really. He isnt even the best villain in BrBa universe
So the best villain is gustavo fring?@@PolishGod1234
Lalo is a kind person. 3:04 he was trying to make sure nobody loses any money. I dont understand why people call him a psycho
😂
incredible acting
He only gives those kind of vibes, but Jorge De Guzman is genuinely a good man! Leave him alone!
Lol
it stings a little they cut away before he throws the cup out of the window
why is he so zoomed in the thumbnail?
Because he’s lalo and it’s also what you will be seeing when he’s on top of you
for the serial killer vibes in his face
kims panic ensured his death.till then he was convinced of the nobody act and was still in his normal mood. After that the nails were placed in the coffin. Realistic Ive seen so many times where people panicking ensured danger
I love how he gave there money back and put the step for them , a classy gentleman
Let's count everyone Lalo killed: Fred, Howard, Gus's nameless henchmen,
The 2 Smugglers, Matteo, His Wife, Probably Casper
the assassins, Mateo and Sylvia, probably casper as well though not confirmed.
I thought we'd been over this with the TF2 Snoiper. When they do it for profit in a larger venture they're an assassin.
"One's an occupation, the other's mental sickness."
The “show me” dialogue of Lalo was the best
2:10 Top 10 moments before disaster
LALO SPINOFF PLEASE
Best BCS/BrBd character ever, hands down!!
The goat 🔥🔥😎😎
Lalo was trying to kill Keanu Reeves dog in the middle of the German wilderness
Lmao that thumbnail is hilarious
Listen to the comments DO A LALO SPINOFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That red scarf looked nice on him
Good.
It's Lalo time!
Lalo in Better Call Saul = No Country For Old Men 2
Sure sure you sure yeah sure
Isn't he literally by definition a serial killer?😂
No
4:56 This is the moment Jimmy realized that maybe the money wasn’t worth it.
He technically is a serial killer.
The husband and wife at the end really get to me. Its just the way it is i guess
Gus plot armor was thick, hiding that gun was such an asspul 😂
Where this scene happens? In seris or movie?
mi hombre
he'd be a good character for Dexter to deal with... different show but he fits the code !
Hank vs lalo in pure hand to hand combat?
You can tell hiward was going to try and save them by talking lalo out of it. I think they should have let him speak a bit showing that he was a better man trying to get him to spare kim and jimmy.
Nooo serial killer vibes from a psychotic lunatic killer I don’t see where you getting that from !!??!!
I wouldnt call Lalo Psychotic. His way of thinking is very stable and always tied to the real world.
When the actual serial killer gives off serial killer vibes 😧😧😧😧😧😧
What i hate is you cant walk on a drop celing....

Lalo was better than Gus in every normal way if he could do it fairly, but he failed only because that rat named Nacho made him no choice but homicidal
everyone after complete list of watching the full story with better call saul, breaking bad and el camino dropped:
that is a good story
i paid a lot of money for that story so i can hear it as much as i want

I think lalo was spending a lot of time doing useless things than actual business.

That’s honestly wat Fred’s gets for over trying to do his job like they gaf ab you
At least he was nice enough to give everyone their money back 😅

@@epicfan1598 well sure but the other alternative was to "tie up the loose ends"
@@neezduts69420 yeah that might attract too much attention to himself though. He's supposed to be dead remember? Lalo isn't stupid.
Fred from Travel Wire is SNL’s James Austin Johnson aka Donald J Trump
Dude is literally Todd 2.0
Lalo has more humanity in him. He cares about his family
I saw video on someone saying that the way lalo acts might have to do with the way he was raised(obviously) ontop of being some form of autistic that caused him to have incredible intelligence, extreme concentration and lack of emotional availability toward anyone and it's what caused him to be so easily ruthless and that's where gus and lalo where the perfect opposites (the guy all theorized he has some form autism) that causes extreme orderlyness, over planning etc.
Lalo autistic? Highly unlikely. Gus is more likely but most people pass it off as OCD, as he too has such a vast amount of social intelligence. Both have shown the ability to deeply care about others, but Lalo far more as he loves not just his direct relatives but many others in his life.
In other news, water gives wet vibes.
Marketing guy who titled this compilation gives dummy vibes.
He was a serial killer for sure. He killed at least 12 people in BCS. God knows how many he killed before the events of the show
