    Shot starting at 4:17 is an editing mistake, that part of the shot was normal walking away from the scene without paying attention to the smoothness.

    Love your reviews, always fantastic! Upgrading from the original Aircross to this after watching. That gimbal has been utterly fantastic and the only things I still wanted were locking arms, smaller overall size, and built in cold shoes. And the 3 does all that so I'm pretty excited!

      @TheHybridShooter  Před 2 lety +4

      If you've used gimbals before then you know it's all about the camera and lens combo. I would suggest you always check out the gimbal manufacturers compatibility document to make sure your camera is supported.
      Most current generation gimbals have been heavily supporting Sony cameras. Part of that has to do with the limitations of canon and other brands.
      I personally am not a fan of the recent trend of gimbals having fixed in built batteries. I much prefer being able to have second set of batteries in case I need to shoot longer.

    • @TheHybridShooter
      @TheHybridShooter  Před 2 lety +1

      @@getfmlr You don't need s second sets of batteries with current generation gimbals, they last longer than humans.
      Using controls on the camera is still the most convenient way, ideally, I recommend not using remote controls at all on any gimbal.

    • @TheHybridShooter
      @TheHybridShooter  Před 2 lety +2

      That is very difficult question, I don't know to be honest, both are great, I would have to test them side-by-side.

    There is one thing that sorta bothers after watching several gimbal review videos: why do you show the cameras without the cables? Is it possible to start recording with a press of a button on the gimbal, not touching the camera?
    And another one: you never show footage with telephoto lenses. Is not practical to use these gimbals with telephoto?

    • @TheHybridShooter
      @TheHybridShooter  Před 2 lety +1

      1. Simply because using buttons on the camera is much more convenient.
      2. No it is not very practical.

    What bothers me about gimball is that it monopolizes your camera. If you also want to make photographs, you have to remove everything, then if you want to film, you have to balance again etc... It’s boring.

    • @TheHybridShooter
      @TheHybridShooter  Před 2 lety +3

      If you use quick release plate, you can take it on and off in a matter of seconds.

    • @getfmlr
      @getfmlr Před 2 lety +2

      Not sure what you mean by everything? It has a quick release plate so the entire camera comes off with one button press. This is the same for every single gimbal since the beginning of time.
      Why do you need to rebalance if you use the same lens? Just snap it back into the quick release and you re good to go.
