- I just installed a new LED headlight - a Daymaker killer ! My previous light was the stock Harley Davidson Electra glide fixture with some great LED bulbs that I installed a year ago. The new head light that I installed and reviewed is even better and brighter with a Halo ring as a running day light.
Really good alternative to the expensive competition.

I've installed the Z OFFROAD head lights. I'm very pleased with them. The HALO really makes them look awesome! Awesome upgrade! It makes my 2006 Electra Glide look more updated than the old headlights. Very easy installation, no issues, plug and play Thanks for your review!

Yep. Works great. Got the same one for my 2009 Fatboy. Had some condensation in the beginning. Take off the light, lift one of the black round stickers on the back and put it in the sun for about an hour. No more condensation after that. Cheers.

Great video and review! Bike and light look awesome! I would even go as far as putting the outer rim in black, may look really cool with how the black is designed but that's just personal preference, looks great as is! Enjoy!

Very good review on the headlight. Your old headlight was pretty bright as well but the new one appeared to cover a larger area.

I blew a headlight fuse a while back and drove home on a very dark night with only the halo. Amazing. I went by a cop and he didn't pull me over. He must have thought I had a headlight! LOL!

I bought this headlight I have a 2021 Electra glide standard, installed it it's on bright won't dim
i think low and high beam were switched originally on the motorcycle when you replaced the bulb, the bottom wide stuff should be low beam and the round should be high beam (in that case)
Have the same light on a 2020 Street Glide it's a very Bright head light!!!! How do you like the fork mounted wind deflectors? Did u do a review on them ? Link?
Well, from my point of view, the original seems a bit stronger. However, when considering the cost, the new light probably wins out. Nice install and review!
You’re right in video it seems a bit stronger- but in real life the new one is the brighter one - also the old one was pointing a bit higher up...
in the comparison the old one seemed more focused and a bit stronger, the new one was a bit scattered

How does this light do when turning? My HD Daymaker is horrid in dark curvy roads. Great when level.

The one issue with showing how bright a headlight is when shining it against a house or wall. Is the flood it will have because of how close you are to the house.. a better example would be to maybe find somewhere with a flat field or long road that has a trees in the distance so you can show up close and then further away to show how far the throw of each light is and how much area is lit up.. so many light manufacturers just maoe a birght light but it doesnt point where it should but instead just floods everywhere which isn't what you want in a headlight... when you have a properly setup and adjusted headlight. It blows the common led out of the water.. but you have to adjust it and point it correctly and orientate it the right way.. ps your Harley housing is glass and most of the sub $200 aftermarket lights are plastic so they will begin to tarnish after a year or two or so depending on ride time.. whereas the stock harley Glass lens housing will not fade😊.. i only speak about these headlights from experience. I have a shelf full of different led headlights for my harleys and most of them ended up fading or being junk even some more expensive ones. But i dont like the blue color because of the shadows it causes so projector headlights are better for me. You wont find a led or halogen that will hold a candle to a good projector❤😊 i am honestly suprised there isnt somebody who builds custom headinghts to fit inside the harley housing.. they would make a killing if they took the oem headlight insert and mosified it to be a projector.. not a cheap led one though but a good projector unit.. id buy them for all my bikes haha any truck i have ever owned or currently own instantly gets projector headlights because they are lesgues ahead of anything else.. normal led is getting better but its not there yet..🤘
That light is the old version of the J.W. Speaker Evolution. The J.W. Speaker Evolution 2 has even more light coverage. You are definitely going in the right direction.
Hopefully you can get a free headlight from Custom Dynamics or Ciro3D and review those also.

Looks pretty good. Did you have the GTR Ultra 2 LED bulbs? According to headlight Revolution they are the best LED bulbs you can buy.
I can attest to that. I have those in my 2020 f150. They are stupid bright and very focused as to not blind on coming traffic.

I noticed that when you sold the street glide that it no longer had this light. Did you remain satisfied with this light until replacing it? I ask because I'm looking for a budget headlight.

My big question is does it interfere with the radio reception? I bought one from Amazon last year and my Sony radio played nothing but static, turn light off and it played fine, I have same bike as you.

Hey, Holy shift, no offense but you need to adjust that headlight. It needs to shine on the ground, at a specified distance. Otherwise, your shining it in cars as your on the road which causes head on collision. Here is a link that kind of explains it better, czcams.com/video/HyXNMuBOvEo/video.html

Can’t really call it a day maker killer with out comparison. Just because it’s cheaper doesn’t make it a winner. It’ looks nice but really need a video of it on the road to see if it has any shadows that a lot of those make. Then compare it to the day maker. , just saying...

It looks much better yet your old light was aimed way to high you. You shouldn't be firing in other vehicles windows this goes for even vehicle not just bikes.

That stock headlight you compared the LED replacement to is not a Daymaker. If you call it a Daymaker killer, you should compare it to a Daymaker.
It doesn’t look much brighter, if any.

you need to re aim your head light. check out how on you tube. don't blind people. see the road better aim your l.e.d.
Ummm...the "Daymaker" is illegal in 22 states and "not legal" ( you can't be stopped for it as a primary infraction) in at least a dozen more. 90+% of aftermarket motorcycle headlights are illegal boys and girls, just check with your local HiWay Patrol or State and Federal DOT. If it doesn't say FED DOT Approved, it isn't legal, and VERY few of them do. If you're in an "at fault accident", you insurance will be VOID and you can be SUED to NO LIMIT as your vehicle wasn't legal to be operated on the highway. I know someone who had dark shades on his pick-up headlights, and he lost his house and they sold his UNDERWEAR and SOCKS at auction and he can NEVER amass more than $3000, all for a $2500 fender-bender. Guess what happened to his wife and kids...
If the Daymaker light was illegal, Harley wouldn’t install them at the factory and sell them. Lol. Mine came factory installed.
Now IMHO, the Daymaker light should get HD sued to hell and back. Try riding at night in a dark curvy road and lean that bike over with the Daymaker. Instantly you loose any distance of light to mere feet in front of you. Its gonna get someone killed and that sucks. Looking at replacing mine with an adaptive style LED ASAP for safety.
Okay as you spoke earlier on about being honest and not saying nice things about the product just because it was given to you , I'm afraid I'm going to be honest with you because I can't say hey that's great and not wanting to offend you , I have the same bike love my FLHT and yours looks fantastic but that head light looks like shit and I wouldn't recommend it for this model .
