- In this clip from a Facebook live stream, Chick plays through "You’re Everything", from the 1973 Return to Forever album, Light as a Feather. Chick wrote "You're Everything" when he was sharing an apartment with Neville Potter in 1971.
Chick recalls: "Neville had a day job, and I'd be working at night. So I'd write melodies and leave them for Neville on a cassette recorder. And I'd tell him 'See if you could put some lyrics to this...' And he'd come back with a set of lyrics. We did that with a lot of tunes: with 'Sometime Ago', '500 Miles High' -- other tunes of that era. It was a really good working relationship. We've remained friends through the years."

The song keeps reviving itself... and will be played forever.
RIP Chick you were one of the all time greatest composers
If there is a more purely musical person on the planet I have yet to hear him or her.
:'(
Jacob Collier is our hope.
@@dylannolan7454 Yes, among many others. Fortunately there are many talented composers and musicians out there, but previous few at the Chick level just now.
stevie wonder, Herbie Hancock, Mccoy, Coltrane, Miles. There are so many out there
Chick Corea seems like such a nice guy
Thank you Chick for revitalizing this gem from almost 50 (!) years ago! Interpreting it in 3/4 in parts is an important theoretical contribution.
I remember seeing this live after requesting the song. Thank you, Chick, for pulling us all out of the deepest, darkest depths of the early pandemic lockdowns. You gave me something to look forward to every day. I miss your presence and think of you every day. Rest In Peace. And thank you - in music and inspiration, You’re Everything!
RIP and Return to Forever 🙏
Rest In Peace GREAT MASTER
You were everything indeed :( RIP
Wow and I loved the Brazil-style interjections.
R.I.P. my friend. You were such an inspiration...
One of my favorite tunes on Light as a Feather
I adore this track.
Addio, caro amico!
You were, are and always be everything to me and countless of others who love music and artistry :) R.I.P my Friend ! See you on the “other side” in some immaterial form and shape, that YOU already know about, and we here are still guessing :-)
Listening to you play this Chick is to hear you sing...
Dónde quiera que esté tu alma, feliz cumpleaños querido Chick!!! Gracias por toda tu musica y genialidad!!! Se te extraña...
Love it! One of my all time faves. Not the same without Flora
Sungguh tidak menduga jika seorang legend akan membagikan keahlian nya secara live streaming selama sebulan penuh di awal masa Pandemi.
Mulia sekali pak Chick Corea.... kami sangat kehilangan .... Rest In Love & Peace, Chick Corea
Not gonna sing for you, but I’ll make the intro into a masterpiece of it’s own.
Thank u and rip master

Sounds like a baiāo from northeast Brazil!
at 1.28 is where the magic begins........................................................................
I'm wondering what a founding father such as yourself feels about ZAPPA? and can only imagine your interpretation of "blessed relief", the fake book tune of Zappa's... Much love
2:32 I like that😍💋 💝💖❤️
50,000 jazz piano players. How come he can write and they can’t?
