Great to see how it is still being used - I grew up hearing about it as a kid, but Dad had never seen it. He was a bit of a history buff, and being a Railroad man, railroad history was even better! He was thrilled - wish he was still around to know it was "fixed up" now!
Awesome! That is a LONG freight! I used to have "connections" to someone from around there - long story - and took my Dad to see the East end - it seemed closed. That was about 15 yrs ago or so. Guess they were lowering the roadbed? I also remember seeing hundreds of old box cars lined up along the river, was told they were being scrapped or stored there. You live around those parts?
