CSXT 1900 Seaboard Air Line Leads M691 in Augusta, GA 8/29/24

- CSX's newest heritage unit, CSXT 1900 commemorating the heritage of the Seaboard Air Line, leads its first train M691 out of Augusta, GA southbound to Waycross. The engine had trailed on M690 earlier this morning after being revealed from the Waycross paint shop days earlier.

I rode on csx 1899 PS- Waycross needs to stop being noobs and not have the head/tail light/number boards on for a MID dp engine.

@@csxnstrainman I have a complaint to give them on how heritage units are supposed to be sketched. My heritage unit artwork is good as theirs because the way they sketch them look horrible. I HATE THEIR PULLING OUR HERITAGE BEHIND US PROGRAM! It's not old in the back and current in the front that's not heritage unit material and if they wanna get beat-up, that's not my problem.
CSX 1900 would look better if it was fully painted.

not a CSX connoisseur or knowledgeable of all there Heritage RR’s…neat paint job even though not accurate by everyone’s standards…hopefully ScaleTrains or Athearn Genesis produces a Ga RR one…
I think someone modeling it or putting on a train simulator would be a best bet for fully paint unit at this point.

Nope...look it up, there's photos of F units with that exact paint scheme in black. No green anywhere!!
@@SMichaelDeHart sir, I hate to respectfully disagree, but there were no black locomotives at SAL. red, cream, olive green, white. That’s it. Please reference a locomotive number to change my mind.
@footboardhobo9381 you're right, 3002 is a dark olive green...but you're wrong about CSX coloration. Look at the CSX page and video from 9 hours ago and under the paint shop lights, it's dark olive green. You can see the redered drawings of the projected locomotive paint scheme being handled by the paint team in comparison to the loco in the background and it's the same color. Apparently, in the sunlight of this video, it only looks black. So...we're both wrong!!
They did the scheme backwards cause of the cabs not being painted so it’s not wrong
@PereMarquette1223 have you not seen all of the CSX heritage units?? They're all done with the cab in CSX traditional paint scheme. So, for CSX's design it's spot on!!
