Holding faster than ever to lesbian, butch, tomboy, same SEX attraction, as well as bringing back transsexual. My new pet peeve is people redefining historical figures as "trans" or "genderqueer", whether butch lesbians like Stormé DeLarverie or Anne Lister, or women who just wanted the freedom men had.

I was walking through Hyde Park with my boyfriend and we came across a Let Women Speak event. I was shocked at how the men were really going out of their way to intimidate the women. One of them came up to me and was in my face Unfortunately he misjudged me as I am not someone who backs down. He started but when I whispered in his ear if he did not move within 20 seconds what would I do to him he ran off. With these people, you cannot debate or be reasonable. Harassment and stalking
    Harassment and stalking are classed as offences under the Protection from Harassment Act 1997 and (where the offending is racially or religiously aggravated) the Crime and Disorder Act 1998. Both offences relate to behaviour that is repeated and unwanted.
    Harassment is behaviour intended to cause a person alarm or distress. The behaviour must occur on more than one occasion but it does not have the be the same kind of behaviour on each occasion. Common harassment incidents include:
    texts, voicemails, letters or emails
    comments or threats
    standing outside someone’s house or driving past it
    Harassment involving putting people in fear of violence is a more serious offence. It involves two or more harassment incidents that leave the victim fearing that violence will be used against them.
    Stalking involves persistently following someone. It does not necessarily mean following them in person and can include watching, spying or forcing contact with the victim through any means, including through social media.
    Stalking involving fear of violence or serious alarm or distress is a more serious offence. It involves two or more occasions that have caused the victim to fear violence will be used against them or had a substantial adverse effect on their day-to-day activities, even where the fear is not explicitly of violence. Evidence that the stalking has caused this level of fear could include the victim:
    changing their route to work, work patterns or employment to avoid contact with the stalker
    putting additional home security measures in place
    moving home
    suffering physical or mental ill-health
    If the offence is harassment (putting people in fear of violence) or stalking (involving fear of violence or serious alarm or distress):
    the maximum sentence is 10 years’ custody
    if racially or religiously aggravated, the maximum sentence is 14 years’ custody

    This is terrible. The problem is many trans identified males don’t have gender dysphoria. Nobody with gender dysphoria would move on a woman in a bathroom like that bc over aggressiveness is a male characteristic. Only misogynists think they have a right to women’s spaces. It’s so easy to tell the difference between an actual sufferer to one that has a fetish. Gender ideologues think you don’t need to be gender dysphoric to be trans. Like wtf? If you don’t hate your body why would you medicate it with harmful chemicals and cut off healthy body parts?! Make it make sense.

    • @espinabrau6672
      @espinabrau6672 Před 10 měsíci +4

      The idea that a man who actually has dysphoria wouldn't do something like that doesn't truly make sense to me. Having dysphoria doesn't mean that people can't be shitty or commit crimes, and trans identified men are still biologically male whether they have dysphoria or not. I understand the impulse to defend trans people who don't harrass women, but it seems desperate to say that people with dysphoria would never do something like this. You truly never know, because hating your body and wishing to have the sexual characteristics of the opposite sex doesn't impact your morality in any way.

      @Garbeaux. Před 10 měsíci

      @@espinabrau6672 I’m not taking up for anyone. Are you seriously saying men who get off on thinking of themselves as women wouldn’t do this? Or what about all the sex offenders in prison who are now all of a sudden trans? A male with gender dysphoria is typically meek and mild as a general rule. You think once that meek and mild male takes blockers and estrogen they’re gonna start harassing women in bathrooms? Ok. I can feel sympathy for actual gender dysphorics and still call out the rest of the nonsense.

    It's all about consent, really. Every person has the right to give access or deny access to their body to people of their choice. And that choice has to be free from any other considerations other than the person's personal preference. Discrimination is harming someone’s rights simply because of who they are or what they believe. There is no discrimination if you don't want to be with another person for whatever reason, because absolutely no one for whatever reason is entitled to have access to another person's affection or body. Every single touch without consent is SA, there is absolutely no scenario where this is different, no matter why a person says no. NO! MEANS! NO! Every if or but is undermining consent and enabling SA. It isn't racist to say I do not want with this person of a different skin colour. Because racism means that person is denied something they have a right to access, and since no one under no circumstances is entitled to any other person's consent or access to their body, there can't be racism, transphobia, or whatever else, if you say: 'no, I do not want you to touch me.'
    This is hard to accept for many. But it is one of our most fundamental rights, that can under no circumstances be weakened. Body autonomy was gained under strenuous circumstances, after a long, tiresome and humiliating fight. It is important for everyone. So if you feel slighted when your desired person denies you access to themselves, it's time to reevaluate yourself. Why do you want to force a person to accept your touch after they said no? What is wrong with you? Don't even ask why. This is the one thing you just HAVE to accept, there is no reasoning, you have no right to ask why, because NO. MEANS. NO. Fullstop.

    I find this series of topics a little bit "off". There were lesbian bars in Soho, they existed for years, but the vibe in there, was that NO non-lesbians were welcomed. This made visiting there, even with lesbian friends REALLY off-putting, so we'd usually go to other bars. Unsurprisingly, the bar shut down due to lack of business, you'know, because of the UNWELCOMING ATMOSPHERE.
    I always felt it odd and little stupid that the last of the last lesbian areas all shut down, and all for similar reasons. But watching this video, it just reminds me of how I felt when I entered a lesbian bar.
    You have other events more commonly, probably because they are more welcoming across the board maybe?
    BTW I also get harassed online often, and you know what, its usually a person pretending to be a trans activist to stir up trouble, and even got hacked, which when I followed the threads, lead me back to an American church, so yeah. Unless you actually cite evidence, you are spreading hate without any true evidence behind it.

      Which lesbian bar in Soho are you claiming had so few customers it had to close? And are you not aware that Soho rents tripled making even longstanding institutions and the most loved shops and cafes close down? And the general decline of all LGBT venues across the capital? You seem to not be citing any evidence and also seem unfamiliar with the scene, but as a straight person maybe this is understandable.

      @@ilikespaghetti4458 People can express themselves however they want, that was my point. A man can like baking and wearing dresses, and he is no less of a man because of that. A woman can play sports and have short hair, and she is no less of a woman. I'm saying that men and women who don't conform to restrictive and arbitrary gender stereotypes don't have to identify as the opposite gender because of their "non-conformity" - rather they should embrace it and express themselves however they want regardless of societal gender stereotypes. There are gender cultists out there who believe that "men/women who do/think _____ are the opposite gender", and I'm saying that this ideology is sexist, regressive, and harmful. It goes against the very gender equality and feminist movements that we've painstakingly built for decades.

    The only solution is to promote the event honestly. It is a gender critical lesbian dating event. Trying to frame this as a lesbian issue is disingenuous and not in line with statistics and anecdotal evidence that show strong support from lesbians. This is a gender critical issue.
