both? I never looked too much into he theory of it. Like I get like Cmaj7 and Cadd9 and stuff but A/B? Then sometimes you'll see like D+. Wtf is that notation? Idk. I can read sheet music but I still haven't learned these weird little things.

How do you make the strings have that sound?
1/ play a strat in pickup position 2 or 4. (Out of phase).
2/ use compression.

I assume you're playing an electric guitar..make sure the action (string height relative to the fret board) on your guitar is as low as it can be without causing too much string buzz. It doesn't take much pressure to hold the strings down on a lower action electric guitar. Other than that, just practice! . Good luck!

If you have a strat middle pickup if you have a tele middle pickup if you have a Les Paul rhythm pickup and sort of soft but punchy tone
