I've been making guitars inspired by my favorite guitar players guitars ,this is my tribute to steve vais passion and warfare guitar . I didn't realize till I started to build it that the cover guitar was a 7 string and didn't have the monkey grip ! But of course I had to have one and also add the lionsclaw on the floyd . I've seen people hand carving the lionsclaw but I didn't have a carving chisel to do that and didn't want to buy one ! So I used what I had and brought a old router back to life! And made this jig ,which turned out better than I had expected . The guitar is for me so it's built to my specs with my preferred pickup configuration which is why it's a tribute not a replica thank you for watching
Thanks Mike ,it's been awhile and I'm not really "back" I just thought these would be cool things to share, thanks for watching, hope you are doing well
@@sdmcustoms things are good here. havent done any woodworking in a couple years now. just got burnt out on it.. anyways guitar looks sweet always wanted to try out dipping like that. take care!
This is great. My man, do you make necks? There is nobody that I can find offering maple Jem necks, with pyramid inlays and I'd really love to replace my vine neck with pyramids.
