This was one of the most beautiful poignant moments of tonights show. When Europe comes together beautiful things happen
everybody, togheter strong on this moments. Stay care Europe, Australia, Eurovision friends.....
1914: Am I a joke to you!?
@@dominikuryszek6362 🤣
Other countries: light a building
Switzerland: "hold my drink..." lights mountain
they probably say: „hold my fondue“ 😂😂✌🏼
Switzerland was the most beautiful part. I'm from UK 🇬🇧
hahaha
Switzerland had the most beautiful one. I've been to that mountain last year and it's a very populair place.
“hold my laundry money”
Only Eurovision can do this. Only Eurovision can do me cry. Only Eurovision can link all europe. Only Eurovision can do that we love music.
This is the really Eurovision, the Eurovision that link all people around the world.
*Shine a Light*
This isn't Eurovision. It's Europe. When Europe comes together we accomplish incredible things
Shining a light from Ireland 🇮🇪♥️♥️♥️
I had goosebumps watching this clip. No matter what, we're in this together
Stay safe and healthy
Hugs to everyone reading❤️
Hugs to you too♥️♥️
I really started crying....
I actually started to well up with tears when they showed this. (I have never had that happen for anything Eurovision-related.)
Not just me then! I never thought I'd find Eurovision emotional but I did last night. It was very sad and rather poignant.
I'm not the only one. Never thought I'd cry watching some buildings (and a mountain) get lit up. When Europe comes together we do great things.
Really? Jue sons frotier? It's a knock down? Look it up if You have time.
I’m not alone, Hooray!
Every time I hear the orchestra playing , and see the buildings and the mountain light up, I’m crying.
I’ve never cried for anything Eurovision related.
This was easily the best moment of the show. Something almost Disney-like about the version of the song.
Awesome how a little pop song from 1997 carries such meaning and depth 23 years on. Full credit to the Rotterdam Phiharmonic for a beautiful piece of work.
I cried like a baby. And then Switzerland.
Our beautiful and strong Europe ❤️🇪🇺
And lovely Australia!
Simsalabimmi
Of course! 💕

Ok 😄😄
The new ANTHEM of Europe. The Best part of the Show.
I’m still tearing up at this. every time I watch this beautiful video, I can’t stop myself crying and feeling immense pride for our Europe!
Me too...I have always tears in my eyes
Too beautiful for words. Our continent, our strong, beautiful Europe. Greetings from the Netherlands, Rotterdam 🇳🇱❤️😍🇪🇺
United we will advance into the future!! Greetings from Spain, Zaragoza!!🇪🇺🇪🇺
Same feelings here! ❤️ Europe 🇳🇱
If is this isn't using existing audio, major props to the sound engineer who blended everyone's individual performances.
To those we've lost in this months, to those who have closed their eyes and can no longer see how wonderful this world is.
And for us, let watch this remembering that we still have a chance to live and see these beautiful places.
Just for 3 minutes, feel the joy of being alive.
Seeing the places that used to host the contest were the most eye-watering parts for me. The crystal hall and the glöben being shown again brings amazing memories from the past. Thank you for what you’re doing, even in the toughest of times.
As well as the Royal Theater of Madrid in Spain, which someone mentioned above was the site of Eurovision 1969.
Royal Theatre of Madrid. Where ESC 1969 was celebrated. 🇪🇸♥️

we will get stonger out of this.
see you guys in Rotterdam 2021.
peace!!
All countries: shown
Finland : let's pretend we didnt exist before
Don't worry, Czech Republic wasn't shown too. But it still was beautiful, I love it!
@@eliskaberankova7497 And Moldova
it was up to the countries themself to send in footage. the dutch film production team obviously couldnt travel anymore so they asked the countries to send them something. not everyone did.
Great that someone notice that too! I was like "It will bee for sure after Estonia [a few seconds later] ehm... no :(".
Finnish people have all the
rights to be like: "Am I joke to you Eurovision?"
It's probably the local broadcasting of each country that didn't submit on time. There's no reason to not include those countries.. every public broadcaster had to give a footage of a building, so I think they're the ones to blame
Moldova just couldn’t figure out how to illuminate an underground wine cellar probably
Or Stefan Cel Mare statue
Big round of aplause to all the musicians *but also well done to the editors of this clip*
The 2020 and 2021 eurovision was the best produced ever. The Dutch know their stuff
This must have been a hugh job to put together. A big shout out to the editor and the Philharmonic Orchestra!!!
Eurovision got its orchestra back 😃

1:26 look at the national library of riga, here i heard talking about any window of the library represents a room of books, and any room of books represents a different genre of book... but look this building at night, it's so wonderful. RIGA TYSM
Congratulation Europe👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
From Italy 🇮🇹
It's very emotional when you know that Love Shine A Light was the very last winning song to be played with a real orchestra, and United Kingdom the last country that used the orchestra for the song contest. Israel made a break with Dana international who refused to sing with an orchestra.
This makes me cry. I love you Europe
We’ll be back soon to our beautiful squares, we’ll soon run and dance and sing in our streets, we’ll see our cities being enlightened again. This too shall pass. So much love from Italy. Stay safe. Andrà tutto bene. ❤️🇮🇹
I want "Buildings in Spotlight" every year at Eurovision Grand Final please 🙏😍
One of the most beautiful moments of Eurovision history. Even in these difficult times there is a message of love, togetherness and hope that still is transmitted through Eurovision ❤
I find Switzerland’s mountain SOOOOO strong!
Such a beautiful place to light up and show...
I almost cried during this video, but i literaly started to cry after realising, that Czech republic wasn't there 😞😞
😮🥺☹️😔
czech republic and finland didn't choose a landmark i think
SAME :( literally we have SO many awesome buildings and we didnt show them off
@@jerma953 the best location for Cechia are the Cathedral or the statue of Golem
This is very disrespectful for countries such Finland or the Czech Republic. Kinda misaligned with the main idea of Eurovision.
Bakou (Azerbaïdjan) in front of Caspean Sea was :Waouhhh.👍👏
Re watching this, what an amazing film
Stay safe from Wales UK
Everyone:Where is Finland and Czech Rep.
Moldova: Okay...
No Luxembourg or Liechtenstein either.
They did not send in the footage in time, blame them.
@@user-lx3oi6xy2e And Slovakia and Hungary
It's probably not the EBU fault, but the local broadcasting channel that didn't sent a footage of a building. It was their responsibility
@@alengrm7488 Those weren't going to take part this year though, neither were Luxembourg and Liechtenstein. We might get Liechtenstein someday though, because they've been working on becoming EBU members for years now to participate. We're also probably getting Andorra back soon since their government is apparently working out a budget for it?
They can bring us to our knees but they will never beat us. Europe cries together 💔
Just wunderful. No matter year, time......this is for us!
I love Europe, Italy
Hooverphonic was gone but at least the atomuim is not letting us down 🥺
Anyone else cry every time they watch this?
This is absolutely beautiful, brought tears to my eyes. Stay safe and healthy everyone x
You must be suffering mental lockdown __get on with life nothing is that bad
what are you doing is amazing, just this.
*Madrid, Spain:* This building is the only place where 4 acts became Eurovision history.
*Wallis, Switzerland:* The only place where a flag was reflected on a mountain.
*Rotterdam, Netherlands:* The only place that appeared more than once in the full show.
*Bucharest, Romania:* The only place where a flag was reflected on a liquid.
*Athens, Greece:* Has perfect sync with the music.
*Riga, Latvia:* It's the perfect loading bar.
*Hamburg, Germany:* LBGTQ+ Hangout
*Reykjavik, Iceland:* The only place that greets the people watching.
*Prague, Czech Republic:* ok

It was probably the most beautiful and spectacular Eurovision’s experience ever ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Switzerland being a winner again 🏔 🇨🇭
Again?
I loved this. I am from the Netherlands and my girl from Estonia. Currently we can't visit each other. So it was good to see Europe lighting up as one. We'll get through this. We will ALL get through this!
No words...❤ Netherlands love you all!
Those were the days. I really enjoint this beautiful orchestra. I want it back in Eurovision.
I'm just tearing up over the fact that for Shine A Light performance Riga chose to lit up Castle of Light!
This song makes me want to travel in Europe again.

This is just a taste of the show the Dutch will make for us next year. Can’t wait.
Love Shine a Light is now officially a theme song of the Eurovision Song Contest
I got this feeling that Rotterdam 2021 will beat Stockholm 2016
Beautiful Matterhorn 🥰🥰😍

Proud of this wonderful Orchestra
I got goosebumps while watching this during the show. Thanks for adding this, it's very beautiful.
Can you imagine the sound engineering behind this? All these different streams, internet connections and sound volumes and sound qualities and blending it in this? Netherlands is gonna blow it out of the water in 2021.
Bucharest, Romania. 🇷🇴🇷🇴❤
2:29 these fountains of bucharest are special, because every lost person here returns to see the other person that he lost, for example... here a son losed his parents and when he was here, he returned to see his parents. That was one of the wonderful placs for beautiful scenes, for example: the park of pink-leaved cherry trees in japan. That was a beautiful curiosity about this place in romania, i will just let you know. Bucharest GOOD
