I’m old almost 74 I live in Mexico for 13 years, but I don’t have the courage nor the resources, to attend school of immersion, I will forever be a student of Spanish, thank you for your help, I greatly admire you, my name is Wade
I’ve attended two schools in Mexico and, yes, my Spanish took a huge leap forward. It was amazing. The sad part was returning to the US and speaking English again. I’m continuing my Spanish journey with a private tutor that I meet with 2 times per week. Also, I’m going to be attending an immersion program here in California, where we will be speaking Spanish for 8 hour/day. Thanks for your very well done videos.
¡Hey hey, nuestro buen amigo Jordan!
¡Un abrazo fuerte mae y pura vida!

I watched a lot of your videos several years ago, but have fallen a little in my Spanish studies. After watching this video, it reminded me of how clear, concise, and to the point you are. Love that you get your talking points across with little fluff and wasted time. Thanks for sharing
Welcome back!

Thank you too!

Inhispania in Madrid
Loved that school
Hola, Jordan. Como profesor de CastiLa me encanta ver tu comentario, ¡qué orgullo! Me alegro de que te acuerdes de nosotros y, por supuesto, te esperamos. ¿Nos tomamos unas tapas juntos?
I went to Tico Lingo also and had fun, but the BEST spanish immersion school is called Spanish Immersion School in Oaxaca Mexico. You stay in a home and the teachers come in to where you live for one on one classes. You can also have classes with your teacher in the streets, or like walking around the city, or in the local markets or museums. I wen twice, it was AMAZING !!! (And cheap) .
Absolutely! I also went there and had a great experience. All of the teachers have degrees in teaching which is important because just because someone is a native doesn't mean that they speak correctly or can teach the language effectively. Besides just learning Spanish they also have activities and events that give you an amazing experience and understanding of the culture.
I ended up falling in love with Oaxaca and am living here right now. It's an amazing city!
@@criticalthinker6011 omg!! I wanna live there too!! I think it's again the BEST Spanish immersion school out there! And I love Magdalena.
Thank for recommending! I want to do a school in mexico
@@raquelroulin7781 lemme know if I can help you in any way. I studied 2 times in oaxaca Mexico. You learn so much!!! And they are so friendly, and it's always one on one lessons, so they focus on only you.
Spanish dude what happened to you? I just started watching your videos and you haven’t uploaded recently?!
Hi Jordan, Thanks so much for your feedback about Tico Lingo! The neighborhood (Fatima) is wonderful and there are some great AirBnB options within easy walking distance. I'm curious what your thoughts are about Intercultura (Heredia Centro) or the Instituto de Lingua Espanola (San Jose). (The latter is well-known for training missionaries.) We've lived in Heredia for two years and I take weekly 1-1 lessons with a fabulous instructor. For me, it's been helpful that my she is another woman my age. But this video has inspired me to figure out how to manage an immersion experience when I'm still working remotely. BTW, what did your group think of El Toldito? Thanks again for this great content!
I just returned from Intercultura in Heredia. I loved it and would recommend it to anyone.
Which all books are best for learning original Castilian Spanish (Spain Spanish ) ? Need books that can teach all grammar rules and vocabulary of Castilian Spanish.. Gracias ! 😊
If you can't roll R. how should you pronounce an R at the beginning or RR in the middle. Should you use a Flapped R or an English sounding R?
Interesting idea, I haven’t heard of a Spanish immersion school before. Question about the school in Granada - did you get on ok with the accent with the locals/family home stay? I was in Granada last year and really struggled with the accent which knocked my confidence a bit
yeah but did you notice that when they spoke English it was with a Latino accent.
@@bentalley7277 No I didn't notice that! I just got totally lost with all the words joined together. But the free tapas was worth the confusion.
Okay, so this is probably not happening for me anytime soon. What is the second best way to learn Spanish?
hey spanish dude what is the time frame for some of these imersion shools. do they have one week courses for a quick trip? Much easier to focus when in latin america to improve!
Totally! At most schools, one week is the minimum.
