What's ironic is today Walt Disney couldn't even be hired by his own company lol
If cultural appropriation exits, this is it.
They wouldn't hire the president of the USA.
To be fair he likely wouldn't hire the people running it today either. He was not a fan of yamuka people

When they cast a non white woman to play "Snow White," who is literally named after having skin as white as snow, there was no denying it. 😂
You ever heard of the black disney princess...
Her name is Cinderella. 😃
@ultrainstinctgoku2509 - A black Cinderella doesn't bother me actually. That can be open to interpretation.
But if a character is literally named "White" after the color of snow, you can't alter that. Snow only comes in one color.
@@ultrainstinctgoku2509she was certainly ashy…
@@ryandeffley7652 to be fair, snow also comes in yellow lol
@nucifera6269 As in Rachel Zegler being a "piss poor" choice for the role? 😁
Disney in the 90s:
1991: Beauty and the Beast - White Europeans
1992: Aladdin - Arabs
1994: Lion King - Animals
1995: Pocahontas - Native Americans and British - Interracial couple
1996: The Hunchback of Notre Dame - Interracial couple and a character with disabilities.
1997: Hercules - Greeks
1998: Mulan - Chinese
1999: Tarzan - White Europeans but in Africa
I always felt I was exposed to diversity growing up and it felt natural, not forced in any way.
Later on with Emperor’s New Groove we had Peruvians, with Coco Mexicans, with Encanto Colombians and so on. If the stories are good everything should feel fluid and authentic ♥️
How?

DEI is a trojan horse for racism.
That’s why the left are so disgusting; they love their tokenism on steroids (gives them a cloak of invisibly) and narcissists smell fame: they get lured into the trap (not asking why a “queer” director would write a movie around them when they’re unknown (zero business acumen!) 🪤 Soon as they get the backlash they make a diss track 🤣 It’s like you took the job (having exactly ZERO respect for the fans and franchise) and then they can’t cope when their opportunism fails. They actually get fooled into believing it’s about their race and not their total lack of talent due to being DEI hires: and that’s when real racism comes to the surface, when they feel “attacked!” Talk about being set-up by your own; the left eating the left.
And so is the word woke for crazy people.
“Racism” is a nonsense word concocted by Trotsky to dehumanize detractors of communism.
Everything about it is depopulation tactic.
If you have too much people and you want to depopulate you need war and famine but in today's world that wouldn't work everywhere on places like Ukraine maybe.
So what you do instead is very simple you corrupt the thing that producing new members of society and that's family if family is broken and corrupted or people are unable to produce new members to society you basically win but for that you need to push on this type of stuff.
And opposite is the truth too if you don't have enough people you want more rules, more restrictions, high morals and conservativism both are form of control over the population but people don't perceive it and they only think about stuff they see and that combined with good amount of fear makes them controllable.
And sexism
I've had enough. Canceled my subscription to Disney.
@LeeBrabham: Good decision !!! 👍
It isn’t only them, it goes much further than just them.
A survey on RB, not long ago, found that 1 in 6 hiring managers was told not to hire whíte małes. Those were just the ones that would admit it and it’s even worse today.
I did, too. They have nothing I want anymore.
One Note. Their character s can be toxic positive. Big problem.

He should be fired for being a whistle-blower and not helping women achieve equality with men.
That's exactly how demoralization works, tragically.
I think this definitely would crush the woke greivance industry if they just wanted to follow that route take the fight against the narrative.
Stop thinking the left has principles, stop giving them the benefit of the doubt, stop assuming they want to improve things for the majority. They are the enemy of the west and its population, half of them will openly tell you that.
Because it's not an end to racism that is sought, now. They don't want peace, they want payback. They don't want equality, they want whites (and especially white men) to suffer. And it doesn't matter that the individual white men may themselves be innocent of racism because true justice is not the goal, satisfaction is.

It’s way bigger than just them.
Amala, why would Disney retaliate against Michael Giordano (which is pronounced Jordano, by the way) for discussing their DEI rules with an outsider? That would mean they're ashamed of their own policies, which I have trouble imagining. Are Disney employees required to sign NDAs with respect to any of these policies? If so, Giordano can be fired for cause; if not, it confirms that from their POV there's nothing pathological about what's revealed in the Veritas sting.
Most companies have employees sign an NDA. He has to be able to furnish proof of these accusations and proof that he wasn't just rambling to court a young woman on a dating app and that he wasn't under the influence (he looked drunk). Otherwise he can be sued for defamation, people already in the comments already talking of cancelling their subscriptions because of this. The publishing journalism company is also going to face charges of defamation probably from both Disney and Michael for violating California PC 632, and possibly False Pretenses of Fraud the way the information was obtained. The video cannot be used as evidence against Disney for discrimination because it was illegally obtained. However, the video can be used as evidence of defamation because it was circulated.
@@marcuscorvin9998 Thanks for your thorough reply, Marcus. It raises a lot of interesting questions. 1) Do NDAs typically cover such things as DEI policies and unofficial remarks made in respect of them by other employees? 2) Why does it matter whether or not Giordano was under the influence and if he was, wouldn't it mitigate anything he might be sued for? 3) On what grounds could Giordano sue Project Veritas for defamation? Notwithstanding that he didn't consent to the recording, its contents weren't untruthful, were they? 4) In order for Disney to sue for defamation, wouldn't it need to be willing to disclose information that speaks to the truth or otherwise of Giordano's claims? Do you presume (or have any information to suggest) they were anything less than true?
@@bradkeyes7184 1.) Yeah NDA's cover most aspects of inner workings and operations of the company, mostly to prevent insider trading. The only person someone can discuss openly to without breaking their NDA is their lawyer. If he wanted to whistleblow what was going on, he would need to go through a legal channel and substantial evidence to support the claim. 2.) Him being under the influence and playing dumb is probably his best defense IF he doesn't have any evidence, mitigation will depend on how Disney approaches this issue or if Authorities get involved. Now if just ONE statement out of all those is not true and made just to gloat and impress the other person, then he loses credibility and everything he says will be taken into question. 3.) The whole video would need to be analyzed, what we got were bits and pieces, there is the possibility he figured his date came off as a SJW and just said things to get into bed. The stunt that PV pulled could very much jeopardize his future prospects, lead to harassment campaigns if he backtracks what he says, etc. 4.) If there is paper evidence/information held by Disney that speaks truth, it is well shredded by now. They would have to rely on testimony by other employees. As much as I dislike Disney, I still believe in facts and evidence. The way the information was obtained and submitted to public did more harm than good to the publisher.

Entire Academia works this way. When as a white guy I finished PhD in top university, I had 8 publications. Applied for over 50 professor positions. Didn't get a single interview. Then I checked who got the job. Sometimes it were candidates more qualified than me, like an Asian guy with PhD from Stanford and 12 publications. But often it were minority, especially black, with 1 publication. E.g. at CMU, a guy who got a job I was applying for had 1 (literary one) publication on obscure topic with no citations in bad journal. Anti-white discrimination is rampant in Academia. I solved it by being 10 times more productive, getting millions of dollars in grants, and finally getting tenure at a good university, but only because I brought so much money. you dont get diversity by excluding one race or another.
“Diversity” is a euphemism for the exclusion of wht ppl.
When they say diversity, they just mean nowhytepeople

This is hella sus, it's more like a job interview than a date, no one can be that 'unaware/dense' with the way the convo is going especially if you're in an executive position. Imho, I think he got sick of the s**t going on in Disney and wanted to blow the whistle on them without looking like a voluntary whistle-blower. Disney
It does seem like he's too willing to say this stuff. He could be trying to minimize the damage to himself while getting the info out. Plus c'mon he talked about this stuff on what seems like a few different dates with two different women. That can't be an accident unless he's extremely naive.

this butchering of snow white is the most baffling thing ever. you have a story with 7 main roles that offer opprotunities for little people, the most canonnically appropriate opprotunity to give LEGITIMATE diversity hires that actually make sense for the story, for a demographic of people who don't get the same opprotunities in hollywood..... but you're gonna write them out of the story? because it's offensive to literally have dwarfism? and replace them with made up gender identities!?!? look at peter dinklage who got his big break playing stereotypical dwarf roles, and has since rose above the typecasting and shown the world that we can just have amazing actors who just happen to have dwarfism, and treat them like any other actor. now we're gonna deny other people that opprotunity so these "non-binary" attention seekers can steal the spotlight. great job disney

I'm 44 born in 1980. I saw how things used to be.....the pendulum has swung to far left now.
Born in 85, and YAPP YAPP YAPP!
It swung toward Stalin and Mao. If they swung left, they would be supporting free expression, not supporting centralized government agencies enforcing what is acceptable expression.
It sucks cause now the right is starting to swing too far as well in reaction. Can we go back to a time when it was much easier to live, please?
And once it swings back to the right, we must weld it in place permanently, no matter what it takes.
It's funny, I have the feeling being on the left used to be a way of protesting against the stream, and to develop free speech (free radios and such), whereas now, as someone who used to have ideas from "pro-wokism" far-left (and retain quite a bit of those values, I think I'm a left-leaning libertarian or something), now that I see far-left ideas so entrenched within seats of power, I hear a lot more free speech in "conservative" medias like this one. It feels like THEY are the one talking against the new "doxa", that of political correctness and inclusivity, to go into the hard truth, and who cares if I don't share all their values or viewpoints.
After all, part of being on the left is to take the side of those being silenced by society, isn't it? Well, I've learned to accept and am living by that dichotomy :)
Disney even posthumously fired Walt Disney the founder!! Lol
They’ll likely just recast him as a diverse character.
He even seems very effeminate and he's probably considered one of the more masculine members of the Disney culture,
He’s camp as tits. Should have just told them he smoked the pork sword, get some diversity points for that then get that promotion is his. 🎉
Yep. Veritas should have hired a hot guy to get info out of him.
No wonder people want to be self employed
Nobody is surprised, but I’m sure most people never expected to hear it so plainly.
The fact that you guys pointed out that she was asking too many questions and that he should’ve gotten suspicious, but didn’t, is the exact reason why the military has mandatory classes for their members on what kind of people to look for who might be looking for that specific information and how to avoid them or avoid those questions; or how to report it if that kind of info got leaked by you on accident. We live in a time of information warfare, and all’s fair in love and war, Amala.
Not OK to fake date. Way to ruin someone's life. :/
I would legitimately be crushed and probably have therapist-level trauma, if someone I was trying to date turned out to just be using me for an expose. Granted, I don't know how long they were involved for him to start divulging that kind of information. For me, it would take a while, and require some established trust, which would make it all the more heart-ripping for me. You know that he's getting fired over this, if he hasn't already. I genuinely feel quite bad for him.
You would be surprised how much guys reveal on a date to attractive women 😂

All this made me remember the disaster that the movie "The Marvels" was. I just watched it because a Korean actor was going to appear in it. I felt scammed when he was only on screen for 5 minutes. That made me realize none of the other men in that movie were on screen for more than 20 minutes, not even Samuel L. Jackson. In that movie, they discriminated against ALL men.
When Amala and Taylor mentioned Peter Pan, it was shocking for me to know they replaced the Lost Boys with a group of boys and girls, claiming that it has patriarchal beliefs. The author, James M. Barrie, clearly stated that Lost Girls didn’t exist because girls were too smart to fall out of their cribs. It makes me think that Disney executives didn’t even understand what the book Peter Pan is about and what it criticizes in society. It also can be interpreted as an allegory of death. I don´t know if they did´t get it or they didn’t even read it.
The same goes for The Little Mermaid. They don’t like Disney’s classic version of the stories or the original stories, but they keep adapting them just to save money. And they ruin them by making all the tales into the same tale: the narcissistic girl boss that doesn’t need anybody.
Honestly, Disney’s hate and stupidity are beyond my understanding. No wonder this company is agonizing.
Thank God Pixar’s Inside Out 2 was an amazing movie. But there are no men in here, except Riley’s dad and some video game character, and they are on screen for, guess how much time? Yes, five minutes. And no, Riley’s emotions that appear as men are not men, they are emotions. They don’t count, ahahahahaha! (Nah, I´m just kidding with this one, guys. It´s a great movie.)
Principles do not pay your rent and buy food, easy for the two of them to judge when they don't have anything on the line.
This level of Discrimination is also exploitation. the proof is in the comment of "They Didn't look black enough"
Once upon a time in a land far far away (Serbia) I used to take any new disney cartoon and watch it with my kids as soon as possible. We now just evade Disney cartoons and films.
Any existing shows I want to watch, I buy second hand on physical media. Saves money, I get a keepsake, money goes to a secondhand seller and I can watch it any time, unedited, uninterrupted and with no ads. As someone who used to work for them, I want as little of my hard earned money going to their company as possible.
I'd rather have people look the same but think differently than people who look differently and think the same
My white mom works for Disney HR and is kinda a higher up . Even just from looking at her team calls majority are minorities mostly black and Asian and the only white guys that are there are gay💀speaks a lot to Disney hiring tactics fr
i hate spiderman now, because they changed the character for diveristy instead of keeping the original story line. i just reached the part where you mentioned the swimmers .... im starting to think the sports events should now require four seperate events [Mens only] [womens only] [trans men only/ men changing to women] [trans women only/ women changing to men]
I mean with spider man , it was rebooted 3 damn times. Y’all want the same shit every time ? 😂
But I get it with over diversity
@@3self They never got it right, though. It never actually followed the comics.
@@toaster4975 they never will. We all know this :/
Well, to be fair, they at least created a new character to be Spiderman instead of race swapping the old one.
Most of Disney’s movies, especially the older animated ones, are adaptations to fairy tale stories.
So I don’t understand why in modern society the Crayon Crowd decided to warp them and make the so far reaching from the true tale, and make it woke.
It’s Walt Disney, not Woke Disney.
They do this all over the west. We see people of colour in almost every movie, serie and commercial. They call it “ finally giving people of colour a chance” and that sounds great in theory, but in reality that means that white people don’t get as a much of a chance.
For every person of colour that gets hired on the basis of his/ her skin colour, there is a white person that doesn’t get the job on the basis of his/her skin colour. That sounds exactly like racism to me.
At the end of the day, big companies don’t even care about racism in the slightest, they only care about money. In the past they discriminated against people of colour, because they knew that showing mostly white people would generate the most money. Know they discriminate against white people, because they know that showing people of colour generates the most money.
Thanks Disney, guess we'll be going elsewhere for our family trips.
I'm white and I'm not sitting in the back of no Micky Mouse bus!
Obviously because your not black.
a dating show with a journalist... what could go wrong! lol
Why are people so stupid to think that the color of a person’s skin is that important?
It is so disheartening to see Disney just fall from grace throughout the years, I feel very lucky and am grateful to have grown up in the 90s and I even loved the shows of the 2000s. The movies and shows of that time helped shaped me into having some of the morals and ethics I have now and it feels like Disney is just weaponizing the nostalgia we all harbor. I wish it can go back to the old ways where it was just creativity and wonder instead of these DEI checkmarks, a story should flourish on it's own merit.
I wish… they would’ve kept Michael’s name and face out of this. That was so cruel
No it the truth
The truth hurt
Micheal can use this as a weapon to sue disney, he been waiting for 11 years
@@cats4603 Sadly he can't. He could have if he went through a legal channel to whistle blow. Instead, his conversation breaks his NDA and he will probably be sued for defamation if he is unable to provide substantial evidence of his claim. The video cannot be used as evidence because it was obtained illegally (California PC 632) and possible False Pretenses of Fraud in which the Publishing Journalists could also be sued by Disney and Michael. His best chance is to actually play dumb and that he was intoxicated and not in the right frame of mind in efforts of courtship IF he doesn't have the evidence to back it up.
Using someone's personal life to obtain info about a company is horrible and dangerous given the state of modern dating and the mental health weaknesses that surround it.
If he works in the legal department, is he now breaking privilege?
If not, I would assume that any large company like Disney would have their employees under an NDA as part of their contract, especially in the legal department.
Poor sod will end up with no girl, no job and a fat bill to pay the people who will inevitably fire him.
Perhaps at this point it’s necessary to reveal the insanity. As for him good if they fire him coz he should Sue for discrimination, the ppl will support him for calling this out. It’s all how u see things.
