Ok, I have watched your youtube a few times. I decided to use the f2pool as well. I am mining with a 300 hash rate, but how do I see my results in the f2pool mining pool? I am having a hard time getting set up here. Let me know if you can help.

How long do you think it will last hence in the past days it was just making about 2 pounds a day now it;s making 6 pounds a day without - electricity
@@cicador it's a 6gb (5.8), i took this one instead of the lower version because he can mine eth and etc. And the limit time to use it is in 2031, so clearly i expect mine to have hardware issues before anything.

Thanks for this overview, it's very detailed. There is one thing I do not understand, where do you collect your tokens? I do not see a fill to input the ETC address
IMHO you have to enter it in the mining pool to which you are attached. In the Mini you just enter the pool url, and a special worker name, which varies from pool to pool. But please note that I'm new to mining too, so I'm not 100% sure...

Dag memory sucks on most of these ipollo beware dag file, think twice before buying many of these! You will only have a year or two of mining
They become obsolete very soon and you can't even sell them as used because they become useless.

@@onedon4957 The memory is too small and the difficulty is rising quickly so the machine becomes obsolete before you make gains. So, they force you to buy the next generation machines. And when it is obsolete, it becomes usless, can do nothing else, you can't sell it and you can't recover parts for PCs.

Where to buy and price
when the merge is done so will them machines they are over priced like GPUs were last year and you are not mentioning the difficulty on ETC and you seem like a clever man, so who are you helping by missing out the most important info. Them miners are worth half that price i would wait plus all the asics will be coming on to ETC as soon as they release a softwarde update

Will ETC still be mineable after the merge??
Yes. But the difficulty will rise. People will switch their rigs from ETH to ETC (or other coins). At a certain time, ETC will be forced to have a halving so the profit will be less and these miners become obsolete quickly.
I have a few of these and I really think the power supply is the worst part of the machine. It's too big for only doing 240 watts and gets too hot.

I feel like this miner has a lot more potential in it. The power supply 360w and the CPU is only running at 30%!!! Putty into the device and run a "top" command for yourself. I'm speaking about the mini classic, and not the mini classic plus.
Do you have any info on modding the ipollos. I looked at the top command and see the cpu at 25-30% with virtual shared mem at about 37%. I believe that the miner has 3 chips hashing I wonder if it is only showing the avg of all 3 or just one chip.

They plan on changing to SHA3 algorithm next year so the dag size is not whats important.
Theres already been discussion of algorithm changes to get rid of asics. Im not investing in these. Also $2300 for $8 ROI per day is a TERRIBLE investment,
Yup it seems like there is still enough of a market for these that the sellers can sell them for 12+ month ROI. With the way the market fell I'm surprised anyone would want to buy at these prices. I'm not interested in holding the bag when the difficulty spikes in a few days.

U were probably looking at the v mini which is the one I have that cost anywhere between 2150 and 3k that actually makes 220 a month in profits

@@thyrossen8999 I doubt it. graphics card use a lot of electricity if u buy a ton of them most of the money you’ll be making will go to paying off the bills plus there not as good at mining then the new gpus were a miner like this only uses like 20$ a month
I paid $1,074 US(yes for the V1 mini plus) for mine couple months ago. Prices have been going back up with rise in ETC price. Wish I’d have bought a few of them at that price now even if just to resell. Not bad averages .16 etc a day worth about $6.00 US currently
its not time to buy it, ETC network difficult is sky rocketing before ETH Merge cant imagine what is gonna happen after, low memory so you wont be able to mine for a long time... dont waste your money!
