Nothing special, just thought about sharing it with you all.

I give you an example...
My 7 series, had for a long time a fault with one of the airbag modules... would come up with something like internal failure...
Clear the the codes, would last for days, sometimes weeks and even months....
Has been doing it for 2 years... I was too lazy to reprogram it...
But finally done it around Christmas last year... no issues ever since...
This is just an example... the manufacturer sometimes releases updates to rectify or improve deliverability etc...

If was working and it stopped, is probably nothing to do with coding or programming...
Most likely there is a fault somewhere inhibiting the cruise control..
Scan the car and look at some live data to find out what's happening...

However, it fails to reset the immobiliser on it... for that you have the IM608 for example...

Seeing an Error when trying to get a module programmed. Any advice or help? Error States: Connected vehicle has an unknown data status. It is not possible to handle this one with diagnostic tool. Ensure that the latest version of diagnostic tool has been loaded or contact after-sales department. When the measures plan was calculated a field appeared. Possible Fault Cause: Integration level (S15A-20-03-524) is incorrect or too new. Any ideas here?

usb cable goes between autel tablet and autel programming module to ensure there is no data transmission problem when programming

I programmed an used Ecu from ebay to my car with maxisys 908p, u have to buy the Ecu, cas module, control fob and key insert with wiring.

yes it can it works with all or nearly all brands....and only bmw and Mercedes need programming for the rest only coding is needed....only bmw and Mercedes required this more expensive tablet....for all other brands u can do the coding with the cheaper 1k tablet.

Hi thanks for the info. I see it has a retrofit and conversion tab, I have swapped my gearbox for a 6 speed from a 5 speed and retrofitted cruise but cruise only works up to 5th gear and when I change to 6th gear the cluster display only displays up to 5th gear and goes blank in 6th will this do this? Many thanks

The jbox is the interface that enables the communication between the car and the tool...
Being a J2534, is also compatible with flashing capabilities and the option to be used with some OEM softwares...

You can do it with a D-can cable and BMW tools software... this however, is way more tricky to do...
Artipad l can also do it, but is the same price as the Autel... might be other tools out there, just do dome research...

Hi. Quick question. Is it possible to program the ECU from another car? Second hand? thanks
u can as long as u also buy the keyfob and cas module that belongs to the ecu.....the only issue wud be that if u live in a state with extremely strict smog rules it might not pass....6/16/2020 I was instructed by a star smog tech to get in contact with state referi to fix my issue wer my car has ecu ftm other car../////6/11/202 usually when I coonect the scanner to my car that has ecu frm another car it will ask me to choose between my vin and the vin of the car that the ecu came frm....tried smoging prior and the tech said som bulls..t story that his computer cudent connect to my car.....im asuming if u buy a brand ecu ter wudent b that issue....I cant affor new ecu so if noone wants to pass my car, ima just paint the sticker with glitter nail polish to corresponding year color, n use a gps jammer so my car does popup as a red dot on cops map screen...but ten they might b wondering why my car not showing up in teir screen since its modern car or tey might not even notice epecially in city with alot of vehicles...probly I wud only get caugh if I get pulled over and cant provide up to date regristion papers.

But... the gearbox might be coded to the immobiliser... Maxisys does not do it...
IM608 does it...

The principle is the same...
Once you flash the module with the software for the car, to change VIN number etc... and you code it... the module becomes part of the car... As if was fitted from factory...😊
I have a 2001 Volvo s40. Can this device activate fog lights for the vehicle? My car did not come originally with fog lights but the plugs was there and I connected to oem fog lights.

hello friend, my car currently running with a ecm frm a used donor bmw, got everithing program...my question is, using the 908 do u know if its possible to erase the vin frm a donor ecm and so only the vin frm my veicle poping up wen doing emissions test...they dont want to give me the little plate sticker unless I fix thar issue....usually wen I connect the autel it will ask me to choose my vin n the donor ecm vin
When you flash/update the module, using the Maxisys, if you "tell" her the modules have been replaced, it will update the vin during programming...
I have a video on my old e65, changing the Airbag gateway, and i show just that...

Where does the Autel store the updates? Does it download them from BMW.
downloads frm autel, autel gets them frm the manufactures....every time u start ur tablet it will show available updates....it usually has updates almost every time I used it.

Hi, the maxisys elite dealer here in Australia say only bmw and mercedes are pre loaded in scantool for programming and they told me that the rest of the car make can’t program ecu unless i subscribe to vehicle manufacturer. Is this true? I’d like to buy one but my purpose is for coding like changing parameter if the car is equipped of ESP to modify from (absent to present).

I have looked for it in all the options and I don't get it.
Basically my problem is that the car arrived with missing or incomplete software codes on dme. I updated and those codes left but now I get the code on dme 2f49 immobilizer anti-tampering protection and the crank but no start vehicle. No spark.
Could it be synchronization?

Was the car starting when arrived to you?
Have you checked the VIN on both, DME and CAS?
If one of them has been replaced, will not work untill the ISN is transferred...
MaxiSys can't do it...
can you use this to program a used egs module when replacing transmission ?
If the egs is part of the immobiliser system, no...
You need something like the IM608... I have videos on that...
Or any other tool capable of reset the immobiliser on the EGS...

Don't think those are affected... F series and E65.... if I am not mistaken...
Not sure about the X on the E series...
That said, you will find out as soon as you connect it... as the car will fail to engage gears, if the immobiliser needs pairing...

If you have the tools, you can program the keys on the bench before program it to the car...

Hi Luis. Can the MaxiSys MS908P program a replaced ECU on a BMW? In my case an E series 520d (E60). My friend has replaced his DME and he was trying for days to program it using the IM608 but he cannot do it. I know the IM608 is more for key programming but it can do a lot more than that. Another great video by the way. You keep posting and I'll keep watching. Thanks a lot.

None of the Autels (MS908P or IM608) can do it through OBD...
The IM608 if I recall correctly, can do some ecus... to program the engine ecu, you need to take the ISN from the CAS and write it on the ECU... or vice versa...

Pretty sure the MS908S Pro with the J2534, can program a new or used ECM on BMW and Mercedes. But only those auto makers. The rest, no.

u can keep using after updates expires including for program and code, the only diff is u wont get no more updates for the newer vehicles...u have to pay another subscrition

The Maxicom does not have those capabilities...
Not even the Maxisys can do keys...

Can you please help me with a question, what about the subscription? How does the Maxisys know meaning if i go onto Benz and pay for say a 2 day sub, how does it know my MaxiSys belongs to that sub?
It does not work like that...
You pay for 1 year, and you have access to everything until the year runs out...

I read that my 2 year updated include the BMW and Benz subscription to program these cars. Meaning i don't need a separate sub for the BMW or Benz website to access the programming service is that correct?

Again, depends...
If you just require general code reading etc... any low-mid range will do, the likes of Autel, Topdon, Launch...
If you require more in depth then you have other tools for that...
Or, if you need it just for a brand then other tools apply...
You are not saying what you actually want it for, so it is difficult to say...
just came across this video .. interesting .. but why did you need to re-program the fuel pump , was it from another car?
Not in this case... was purely for the video...

The shift solenoids. I asked transmission shop for an estimate to replace the solenoids and they told me they couldn't do it cause they had to be key coded and they didn't have that capability. They might be wrong.
Yes... the solenoids alone are just an electric valve... no coding required...
The entire mechatronics is a different story...

I use ctek 25 amp for some BMW that is also not enough but I tested it with picoscope for ripple there is 0 AC ripple from a ctek msx25 unit

@@cambam2430 sorry sir dint mean to sound rude....puck bmw they lie and trick people so much..example the crank sesor the way they route the wiring overtime the sensor wiring gets loosed causing problems..the manual states that the sensor has to b removed from top when it can b removed frm the bottom really quick after throwing in the garbage all the plastic on the bottom and the little plate with unusual retainers that prevent ur hand frm fitting thru the bottom and rerouting and connecting the harness to the sensor.....I also threw in the garbage the bmw plastic thing that cover the coils and make it longer when testing and removing anything under that area.
Hello, can you CODE Auxiliary to a 2004 bmw 530i on Maxitool so it can show on the display screen ? It only shows FM/AM/CD I installed auxiliary but it won't show on screen and I read it needs coding but most videos I've seen are done on INPA but I have Autel Elite scanner. Thanks
Autel should be able to do it...
Either by editing the VO, or under retrofits...

Not INPA... you can't code with INPA...

Again, autel will do it by modifying the VO...
Just add +NAUX to the vo, save it and the code the ccc and all the relevant modules...

Hi you've done some great videos that have helped me in the past, I've recently bought the 908s and programmed the left SBSL module on a 2004 bmw z4 all errors have now cleared however I have one fault remaining in the left SBSL module (system time error) can you possibly help please

You need to update the modules relating to Airbags... if I recall correctly... so the system time resets on all at the same time...
