  • Sold the Honda scooter ... bought a 2019 Lexmoto Aspire as I knew it was easy to swap in any pitbike engine, its now running a 110cc. Basically same as a lexmoto hunter.
    Just a little video to introduce my thoughts on the bike and some riding.

      😂 I know the 50 is depressing going up hills. The advantage of a 125 bike is usually a thicker frame and better brakes to deal with that speed so consider that.

    Do you have any idea how many teeth are on your front sprocket? The 125cc engine (GN125) we sourced, used a different sprocket pitch to the Lexmoto chain, so could not be used but the original Hunter sprocket fits on fine but I think it might benefit from being geared up slightly with some extra teeth.

  • @Gary-Seven-and-Isis-in-1968

    You certainly hit some respectable speeds here, but I think you almost rear ended that white car at a junction.
    Thus proving the need for break upgrades.
    This ped was built to price, so I guess those brakes were optimum for a 30 mph set up.
    Could try sintered pads, but I don't think that'll help as much as is required.
    Can you say how much the conversion to 110cc cost you at the time?

    • @nitrorory
      @nitrorory  Před rokem +1

      To be fair I was closer to the white car than I should have been , the camera angle makes it look worse than it really was , but I did brake harder than I should have to. The brakes were pretty lame on that bike.
      I actually am keeping much more of a distance from traffic these days so I think my riding has improved.
      The 110 engine cost about £220 at the time I bought it and put it in myself.

    • @nitrorory
      @nitrorory  Před 2 lety +1

      You need a pitbike engine with a stator that has 2 yellow wires to suit the lexmoto. A lot of pitbike engines come with just one yellow. If you get one with the wrong type of output you can change the stator to the 2 yellow type.
      I just ordered an engine from ooracing with the right stator already fitted. Then I just pulled the connector block off the original engine and out the new engine wires into it

      @@nitrorory I might be confusing the black box for the gear position wiring with the CDI.
