I purchased a 3 string tree guide for a tele player plus and a boxter tele i have but i havnt installed yet , just wondering what you thought of yours after you i stalled them , do you think they will help keeping tuning on that g string addition
This guitar certainly needed something on the G string which is why it had two string trees on it before. Staggered tuners would have been another option but there just wasn’t enough break angle over the nut to get a consistent tone when playing the open G. I’m not sure it helps with stability much and can actually create another “sticking” point on a guitar with a trem. It’s a great solution to the break angle on a tele though.
@olddogguitars23 thank you very much and ya I could tell when re tuning it , it was sticking a lil on adjusting it but has held good once tuned and no trem on my Tele so it's working great thanks
Dude...how must you regret what you did to your headstock...I'd be going freaking nuts here.
Not really, I can always put the original string trees back on if I can't get this worked out but I'm okay with this for now
