I bought the same guitar you have but a red one. Like you I changed the saddles to a brass one, changed the string trees to a tusq and change the pickups to a 51 fender nocaster. What I cannot change is the neck and the fret work is awesome. That's what I bought this for. Man o man am I satisfied. I have prs, gretch shecter fenders but I love this guitar because I fixed it to sound good. Got a bottle of beer sat down and played it. For the money what a steal

Yeah I’m debating putting some new pickups in. I’ve got some Tex Mex but could also wind some myself to 50s specs. Are you happy with the nocaster pickups?

I'm really really liking the arm carve and belly cut. I wish my Fender Tele had those. There were some of the Japanese Fenders that had both but discontinued and way out of my price range anyway.
Cool vid with lots of very useful info. Thanks and keep them coming!

I know the tele purists like the block bodies but I'd love a fender with a contoured body.
