No way man, I've watched this video about a hundred times.... I can't believe we're going to finally get out on Clearlake with Paul this year in November.... I had to come and re-watch this one..Thanks for the amazing videos Shea!!
Rodman Slough has herds of cows in it. Before big swimbaits an such, we would just use the hitch or shad and a bobber in the tules and harvest hawgs like this all day long, sometimes pull up a huge cat as well. If its one thing CL has, its fish. Even the bluegills and crappie feed like rabid piranha. One of the few lakes in CA that if you get skunked...its 90%-100% your own fault. lol. Great vid.
+Ivan The State is getting more expensive by the day and very crowded, like overcrowded. Our government is also bloated, inept, snail like slow, corrupter than most and lazy as can be. That said, Its a great place to be if you are a Bassaholic...we have Blue Ribbon Bass Lakes from border to border and some top notch Striped Bass (my fave) action as well, both salt and fresh.
+LeHaun Bames Its beauty and great fishing has kept me here, otherwise I would have bailed to another "freer" state years ago. The politics are the root of the problem, they are so corrupt, above the law and mafia like its insane. Enjoy CA while you can, its changing.
I want to start fishing with Big Swimbaits ie; Baits under 4oz.( Hudd 68's, S-Wavers) What do you recommend for a Beginning Swimbait Rod/Reel Combo for the baits I mention! Thanks, Please Respond!
bought that lure yesterday cant wait till saturday so i can use it, getting new line to 30 lb spidewire braid just to be on the safe side since it cost 39 dollars!
What up Bailey! When we shooting again at the lake? Was supposed to roll up there with Bill E but got directed another direction last minute, dying to swing on some Clear lake green bass! Shaka from down south.
guaranteed 20lb or higher line, matt newman is using an irod 2 genesis, most likely extra heavy but could be heavy (most guys throw 8in hudds on extra heavy) with a shimano curado 200e.
1-3 ounce swimbaits go with 20 pound flouro anything bigger lets say a deps 250(6 ounces) should be 25 pound mono and 10 ounces should be 30 pound mono
why would this lake be any different than any other lake in the West/south west as far as using swim baits for bass? I live in AZ and haven't noticed any difference in any time of the year for using big swim baits. They bite in fall/winter/spring/summer....just like jigs, senkos, crank baits..etc They all will work year round...just have to find where the bass are and they'll attack it if they are hungry or you piss them off enough

Where is clear lake located?
what pound test, what kind of rod, med-heavy or just heavy?
guaranteed 20lb or higher line, matt newman is using an irod 2 genesis, most likely extra heavy but could be heavy (most guys throw 8in hudds on extra heavy) with a shimano curado 200e.
how do you feel about the stinger on the bottom of swimbait?
Nicole Wilkes I personally only use a stinger on the 8 inch hudds not the 68 special or 6 inch deluxe but it's always on top
@CarnedeTheresa thanks!
I caught my first bass on a Huddleston.
What knot are you guys tying for these baits?
Probably palamor
Nothing but Shits and giggles. Good times. nice fishing!
Flourocarbon VS. braided for 6-10'' swimbaits?
What do you think?
Mono
1-3 ounce swimbaits go with 20 pound flouro anything bigger lets say a deps 250(6 ounces) should be 25 pound mono and 10 ounces should be 30 pound mono
Hell yeah sac town city of trees baby:)

Sure, everything works at Clear Lake!
Roll up whenever you want. Get newman and come film for a few days. Top water is good right now. Talk him into it! I live on the lake now.
I would contact Matt Newman, he would know better than me. Sorry I din't have the exact info

I miss big bass. But instead I help my son in the video series reel outdoorsy. It’s funny you should watch it
How they catch a lot like this. I stayed in clearlake three days i didnt catch anything.
Depends on where you're fishing, what you use, what time of the year, your experience, etc etc
+Chuck D yeah exactly
I would never boat flip a bass that big lol
Bow flip
Big Kentucky Bassin BOAT flip
kushcrumbleshatter1990 these guys are putting the stinger on the bottom, i was wondering why they do it cause it gets em in the gills
Nicole Wilkes Yea it does increase hook up ratio big time but I like to slow roll them on the bottom so I do the stinger harness on top of the 8 inch
6:57 to 7:09 hilarious
southern California
No spotlock no pan optics or live scopes.
Are these guys high af or wut
7:02 look left, get bit...
25 lb fluoro
looks like you're fishing Rattlesnake Island
