Think the Fangs told you that they are totally Independent. Some lables have put monkey wrenched their venues and don't like s band getting much traction. I love this one because while they were recording Queen of Hearts album, they promised a ballad. This was it. And it's truly a family effort. The father wrote the string parts. The choir was described as friends and Fangs. Some from the Santa Monica pier days. Just imagine the cost to do this video on their own in crazy California prices. The beach was in Orange county. They first wanted a different beach, however it was too costly. Papa Liliac knew someone that donated the beach. They pulled out all the stops to make a beautiful video. Do my favorite on the album. Dear Father. Fantastic video. To get a feel for their Santa Monica busking on the pier, watch Crazy Train. See how they worked so hard in the hot California sun. Great reaction my friend. Peace. Correction …. Sail Away was filmed in Huntington Beach California. They had to lay pieces of plywood to get the piano onto the beach and then back when they were done
How many bands never create a work of this magnitude, throughout their whole existence? Melodia is a vocal chameleon. I have never heard her sing anything. Where the her vocals didn't sound as if wasn't written for her.
@@GlassMoonGaming That (everything) includes shooting their videos, merch sales, video editing, promotion, and booking their shows..even their Queen of Hearts album cover and shirts were designed by Abigail (Drums).
Abigail looks like she's taking a break from The Night's Watch to come and drum with her family. Incidentally, she went live on Facebook and streamed the opening to a show for about a half hour. She's damn good, but she has such a cute personality, too. Speaking of Facebook, they did a live right around Christmas a year or two ago where the father said they were looking for a second guitarist to help fill out the live sound. The requirements were understandable but a bit high; I think you had to be at Sam's skill level, be in the age range of the three older siblings, I think they wanted a guy, had to be able to sing, had to know the secret to cold fusion . . . I think they gave up that plan since it's been so long. I heard that this song is about their move from California to Georgia, but I think that was from the comments, not from the band themselves. I know they did move to Georgia right around this time, so it's plausible.
