It is CZcams that puts the ads in the videos. If you want no ads, you pay CZcams to do away with ads, not the band. They are also an independent band and want to stay independent. They welcome all the publicity they can get. Their producer and father, aka Papa Liliac watches reactions and will many times give shout outs to reactors on their social media accounts. Liliac is bat in Romanian. Their parents are Romanian but met after they came to the United States. They are currently living in Georgia now.
You are partially correct. As a monetized channel, you have some say in WHERE ads are placed. For instance, I have mid-roll ads turned off. That said, since it's their own channel and their own music, I didn't think of how it works for your own original works since you aren't gonna copyright yourself. LOL

The list of good American rock bands is very short right now, but Liliac is on that list. Melody's voice is simply amazing. I pay the few dollars per month to get rid of all CZcams adds. Well worth it.
Now that I'm doing this a lot more often, I may look into it. Honestly, in all the reactions I've done, the 2 I recorded on this day were the only 2 I remember ever having them MID-roll. Oh well. LOL
The adds are put in by CZcams , the band has no control over that . If you want covers try The Last in Line or Seven Nation Army . They do have original albums out . Chain of Thorns , a 6 song ep and Queen of Hearts a 13 song album and are currently working on a 3rd one . You can pick anything they have done , it's all fire ! đ€
While you are right that CZcams can put ads on anything they want, the account can dictate to never play mid roll ads. It's an option you can turn off (it's on by default). I don't mind ads being run, I just don't understand the point of the copyright holder breaking up their own song

Love those guys. So much talent in one family is extremely rare and the fact they actually seem to get along is even more rare.
Liliac is another great band. I have both their original albums, Chain of Thorns (signed) and Queen of Hearts, I also kicked in for the kickstarter for QOH. I would have gotten the vinyl as well but the cost of Postage from the USA to here nearly triples the price and I just couldn't afford it yet. They were based in LA but now live in Georgia. They did enter AGT but left after the first round despite getting through as they had to sign a 5 year contract that would have seen them get a mere 1% of the earnings over that time, they were advised by their lawyer to not sign, so they left the show.
As for the adverts that is all youtube as far as I am aware.

Liliac doesn't have any control over the ads, that's CZcams. Besides that Liliac is Independent and loves Reactors. As for Melody (Vocals) that scream was pretty tame for her, her fry screams can get really high up there, she can also do opera and growl. Sam (Lead guitar) is great and Abigail (Drums) added double kicks, at this point in time she didn't have them though.

But you won't find a bad song on anything they do.they live in Georgia now and are in the middle of their biggest tour right now, 40 shows so far.

Great reaction Melodys voice is insane checkout another original song when they moved from California to Georgia the song is Sail Away also checkout there Queen of Hearts Album. There are two other covers live from Cummings Georgia Piece of my Heart and We will Rock you and We are the Champions also lead singer is a big fan of Ronnie James Dio.

I am surprised being a drummer that you did not mention Abby on drums. Have you ever seen a drummer have that much fun, smile, and sing along as her? Great band, great song and good reaction. Other great original songs to check out are Sail Away, Dear Father, Dancing in the Dark, We are the Children and Nothing. Two versions of Nothing. One features multiple camera angles of Abby drumming.

As it has already been said they have a 6 song EP out "Chain Of Thorns" the whole EP is phenomenal may I recommend "Dancing In The Dark". They also have a 13 song LP also Phenomenal really any cover or original you do will NOT disappoint. Not *exactly* how that works in general, but now that I'm thinking about it, since it's an original work, who knows how it actually works since they aren't going to copyright themselves. LOL
best one is probably the newest (Seven Nation Army), or (The Last in Line) might add (Hate Myself for Loving You). But the original stuff is the best. (Sail Away) is their best original video but it is a ballad.

As others have said, the ads are there because you don't pay for CZcams Premium. Clearly CZcams's plan is to annoy you so much you sign up for the monthly fee.

Sam guitar solo style in this video is more like a Paul Gilbert's; in fact some of the pieces done in the solo mimic Paul's style with a Sam twist.

May I recommend that you might consider doing a cover than an Original cover Original...So the song that got me hooked on them was their cover of "Rainbow In The Dark" now when this went viral it caught the attention of Ronnie James Dio's son first then Vinnie Appice Dio's drummer saw it and then Wendy Dio herself, they liked it so much that they asked them if they would do "Last In Line" for the Dio Virtual Cancer Fundraiser Benefit which they (Liliac) did do, Vinnie have them a minute and a half extended version never seen before.

That really tough picking the best cover or the best Original because all there stuff is Phenomenal I'll say this the song that got me hooked on them aka (fanged) was their cover of Dio's "Rainbow In The Dark" their cover catalogue is vast so I'm just going to pic one how about their cover of "Master Of Puppets" for an original "Mystery" "Dancing In The Dark" "Nothing" "We Are The Children" all of them are phenomenal "I'm Not Afraid" anything you choose I promise you will not disappoint!!

As far as I can tell, Liliac has moved away from the vampire thing. Other than a little bit of imagery here and there and calling their fans "fangs," I never had the impression that they were leaning into vampire culture - is that the term? - much at all. They have since relocated from California to Georgia.
That's 100% Melody's voice, probably with a touch of reverb added in. She is the middle child and used to be the bass guitarist as well. Sam, the guitarist, is the oldest. Abigail, the drummer, is the second oldest. Ethan, the current bass guitarist and former guitarist, is the fourth, and Justin on keyboards is the youngest.
Regarding where to go next, my favorite original of theirs is "Nothing." I believe the video was mostly shot in their living room during the pandemic, but it's still a cool video. If you want to see a cover, "Holy Diver," "Rainbow in the Dark," or "I Hate Myself For Loving You" are all great choices. They recently did a cover of "Seven Nation Army" that's fantastic, but be warned that it's visually quite different from anything they did before it.

Man, if we coudl take his neo-classical tapping/sweeping bach-like arpeggio skills and harmony knowledge and combine it with Dany Villarreal's carefully crafted musicianship where she would never do a wanky pinched harmonic whammy gimmick without it making musical sense... and we'd have the ultimate lead guitarist. Right now I wish Dany was more showy, but she's gotta focus on doing lead vocals, lead guitar, and rhythm guitar all at once so yea, not likely to happen, so yea I'd take her playing over this guy's style of brilliant technical playing that, sometimes (particularly in the opening solo), verges onto meandering that is absolutely outright stealing of EVH meets malmsteen licks. I'm a guitarist also, so I am absolutely blown away by his playing and effort and talent... just that I want to see more originality and musicality in it along with the immense chops and clear understanding of harmony. I admire them both.. tons of work went into each of their techniques, Dany and this guy from Liliac.
The real star is the Liliac vocalist... musically again not necessarily my favorite, but what a fascinating voice and approach.
Intellectually and emotionally my favorite is The Warning, by a landslide, due to songwriting brilliance and how they assmble a song... as well as emotionally (Pau....). But I will keep watching Liliac and see what they can put together in their stuff (I'm blissfully unaware of them up until now).
I hope they are nice people like The Villarreals are.... so I Can support them like I do DPA.

I've listened to all their music and as someone who toured with Metallica for 6 months in 1994 I actually prefer their version (Liliac) of Enter Sandman. Sadly I went to see them tonight in a tiny venue in Nashville and the sound was absolutely horrendous. If I had ever mixed anything like it I would have been fired and rightly so. Tiny venues are really difficult if you don't know what to do. Melody's vocals were completely drowned out and even Sam's solo before Mars was so loud and distorted all that marvelous fingering was lost in the noise. I hope I get another chance to see them live in a bigger and better venue.

Congratulations you have discovered Liliac .this is their best live recorded performance , usually they are mostly fan phone efforts and have really bad sound . Yes they appeared on AMT and pulled out when told they couldn't advance unless they signed a5 yr contract that would have taken %99 of their earnings. That's why they are fiercely independent and do everything themselves . They all play multiple instruments and all have other talents bedsides music they are managed and produced by their dad known as papa Liliac , and are a Religious wholesome family who love their millions of fans worldwide . This is Melody's natural voice and is unique it's been said she has the best female rock voice out there , and some , me included think she's better than a lot of the male headliners . They have around 2 dzn original songs all as good as this one but don't discount their tribute covers some of which are genuinely better than the originals ,other fangs will request songs for reaction i go along with whatever selection , they are all phenomenal , just keep on reacting to Liliac you have everything to gain . If you want to hear other women fronted band with voices absolutely amazing voices - Floor Jansen (Nightwish) in my opinion the best female vocalist in the world, Simone Simons (Epica), Charlotte Wessels (Delain) Sharon del Adel (Within Temptation) Anneke van Giesbergen (solo, Devin Townsend project, Vuur, and many more) - Tatiana Shmayluk (Jinjer) she'll blow you away, Alissa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy) Courtney LaPlante (Spiritbox) - latter 3 ladies switching btw growl/scream/clean voice in seconds. You have definitely listed some amazing bands with female lead singers. A lot of them I have heard (especially Nightwish and Jinjer and Within Temptation). Another great female fronted band with an AMAZING voice would be Unleash the Archers! She slays!

I think you are not understanding that just because you are using their own channel doesn't mean you are exempt from adds because you are using their ip to create your own.
That's not what I was referring to. I expect ads to be on my reaction to their music. I didn't expect ads to be MID-ROLL on their own channel which I assume is monetized and they have control over where ads are placed for their viewers. If they aren't monetized, then CZcams put them there, but I don't know why they wouldn't be monetized.

What was otherwise a great reaction was ruined by your rant about their ads, which they have no control over. In fact, I had an ad pop up during your reaction video. Get over it.
This was a very trivial thing to scold about. Be nice.
That's not exactly how it works. As a reactor, anything I react to is mostly likely going to get a copyright claim. When that happens, and I dispute it for fair use, the revenue is held is escrow until the dispute is resolved. While the dispute is ongoing, OR when the dispute is over and the copyright holder still claims their reason to be "valid", the video is inelligible for monetization on MY end. When a video is inelligible for monetization or just is NOT being monetized, THAT is when CZcams can put ads in wherever they want (hence why you saw an ad during my reaction).
My point was this video was on their own channel and it's an original song so they own the copyright to it. I would imagine they wouldn't copyright themselves and I'd also imagine they are monetized. They very well man NOT be monetized for all I know. If they are monetized and they own the copyright to their own song and they have the video itself monetized, it just seemed strange to put an ad in the mid roll. I rarely ever run into a song with a mid-roll ad for an original on their own channel, hence why I made this comment. If I'm reacting to a song on a 3rd party channel, then it makes sense. Just seemed strange to me, that's all. Either way, thanks for the comment.
@@GlassMoonGaming My Reactor that I MOD for and help run her channel, has things like that happen also, but not very often, maybe 50% part of the time. However, with Liliac, there never is any copyright strikes because they don't have a big label shutting it down due to monetization.

It's not really a business. I work full time in emergency medicine (which is why I pre-record a bunch of stuff on my days off). That said, it may be worth it investing. I just don't usually run into many songs with ads run mid roll so I never cared.
If you like the vocalist, The Warning would be your second choice :)
