Peter Steele has passed away passed away. I really enjoy your reviews I'm a huge Iron Maiden fan and teachings about how the voice works. You do great work.
doesnt understand how goth and romance can co-exist, is aware of vampires lol. i know you put it together, but i lol'd. try she wants revenge with "tear you apart" for a similar vibe. sexy but haunting and kind of dangerous.
I looove you!!!!. I am in my 60's and was soul, northern soul, motown girl growing up. Raised on Top of the Pops (TOTP) in UK. I got into opera in my 20's as my mum loved opera. Now I am getting older my musical tastes are changing. I watched couple of voice teachers reacting, but I love your channel as you are teaching me about music as well the voice. I am getting to understand and appreciate metal for what it is, and not just a lot of noise as I felt when I was younger. I have watched a couple of video's on your performances. I was surprised at you voice (good surprise. Your voice is amazing).
You must do a reaction to Be My Druidess. It is much more interesting.

God, how many pop stars do we need to *sacrifice* to bring Peter back?
I would do it.
All of them i guess. 🤣🤣
a thousand a day.
@@platinumnitrocharge4218 I'm reasonably sure that 100% of the worlds pop stars wouldnt be worth 3 curly hairs of this god-man.
All of them, we need to sacrifice all of them.
His accent comes from an exotic land known as “Brooklyn”.
"he likes goils" ;)
LOL
yes but his heritage is eastern european, not too far away from Transylvania. :P
Brooklyvania. His real name is Petrus Ratajczyk
@@briancollis1809 Goils are noice🤘
From What I understand about Pete, is he was a hopeless romantic. He literally smothered girls with his love and compassion which ended up with them leaving him. So this song is actually bearing his soul of being desperate for the affection of a woman and to actually love him back.
Yes. Johnny said when he fell, he fell hard. Some women find that to be a turn off (the dumb young ones, of course!).😂 He needed someone who fell in love with his soul, not his persona. He never found that. Not to mention I think he was kind of a firecracker to handle, which is typical for artists. The right brain dominance makes them eccentric and unpredictable.
Apparently Peter had a really intense relationship end badly. I think (I could be wrong.) this is the woman who was sort of flirting with some guy and Peter assaulted him and got himself sent to Rikers. Again, I'm not entirely sure if this was the reason, but I know he had a relationship end badly and it affected him for a long time. She is actually in the dvd video with the band's commentary. They don't speak kindly of her.
@@_msthings_ He cheated on her. And she cheated on him. Both were at fault. Peter couldn’t take it that she left him for another guy. That’s why he assaulted him.
@@waterhorse5199 OK. I see. Like I said, I wasn't sure of all the details. Thanks for filling me in.
@@_msthings_ Sure! Peter was quite a playboy. That’s partly why he could never maintain a healthy relationship.
The line "Am I good enough for you" is absolutely Peter bearing his soul. It's some of the most honest singing that any vocalist, of any musical style, has ever done.
He was taken too f***ing soon.

On the other hand, I did the same to her about five episodes in to the Charismatic Voice. ;-) She was like, "I get it."
Well she was put under the Peter Steele spell quite quickly 🖤💚

Peter is turning her on from beyond the grave, over 10 years since he passed. What a legend
In the album version of "Haunted", Peter Steele sings "I hate the morning" in 3 different octaves. It's given me goosebumps for the past 20 years!
That low note has always blown my mind. Same with Nettie.
I'm also 6'8" but my voice is nowhere so deep as Peters. AAah!! Something must be wrong with my "vocal tract"! ^^
You just listed my favorite part(s) from OR. It's DISTURBING how amazing that part is. It's so f^cking good!
He goes lower in Be My Druidess. I can sing Haunted, I can’t reach the low notes in Be My Druidess, it’s crazy he was able to sing those notes without sounding off pitch
Haunted is my absolute most favorite song by them. The song gives me goosebumps and makes me tear up every single time I listen to it, I also got lyrics from it as a TON tribute tattoo. Such a beautiful song, Hauntingly beautiful.
Peter is still seducing from beyond the grave, looks like.
because OF COURSE he is. hahaha
Insert self deprecating joke that Pete would.
Fits with the goth/metal motif. And the cool thing is she can talk shop WHILE gushing over him at the same time. Something Peter would get a kick out of i believe.
Oh he never stopped!
He will, always💚🖤💚
Most underrated metal band of all time. Their music was pure genius, even when they were being humorous. TON understood the power of melody, depth, imagery, and emotion.
and absurd irony. I love how their whole schtick was like performance artist playing a goth metal band ironically their entire career like some elaborate joke that kinda went off the rails and accidentally got popular. if you haven't seen it yet, find their tour mockumentary/documentary After Dark from 1998, it's hilarious!
@@PiotrTheGreat Yes. Agreed. I own a copy of the documentary you speak of, as well. Classic TON humor.

Type O's sadly small discography is something I can listen to over and over. I never get tired of the whole experience their music gives you.
Considering the length of the albums, it's not that small. TON albums are THICC
Nobody will ever replace Peter. However, if you love him, i implore you to give October Noir a try
@@alabamaarrowhead I gave them a try, their original material is bad, and their TON covers don't improve the originals. Pointless band that TON fans should stop referencing. Just listen to TON.
It's not really small. In comparison, a similar band Acid Bath only had 2 albums before disbanding.
I believe the OP said "sadly small" considering Peter died young and it's small compared to what could have been. @@pixiv2914

The pitch bends you're hearing is actually the keyboardist Josh silver. He's fucking incredible and there's alot of keyboard parts in their music people mistake for the guitar
I'm not sure if anyone else mentioned in the comments, this is just the shortened version of the song, probably for the sake of making a music video, a bunch of their songs were shortened that have videos. This was really fun to watch, hope you've listened to more of them since!
Yes, this is a radio/video edit... I've always loved the full version so much more!

Thank you for sharing Jacqueline. Peter’s voice accompanied me through many phases of my life. I was privileged to be able to see ToN every Halloween for a few years. Shortly thereafter he passed. His voice is timeless, especially combined with the instrumentation of ToN.

One of my new favorite things is watching women slowly fall in love with Peter while watching "Love You to Death"
It really is one of the greatest songs ever. Lush, haunting, melody for days, and just a unique package.
Hopefully she reacts to Race War by Carnivore. She will surely fall in love with him to that tune.

Peter Steele had the most unique voice. Amazing range. Never will be another like him.
Peter Steele was a Juggernaut of a man. Stood like 13 feet tall and built like a Norse God, had an incredible vocal range and very talented bass player too. Never met him in real life, but I've always heard he was very humble and kind to everyone and loved his mom.

The band said in many interviews that Peter wrote much of October Rust to seduce more women. They said it was his "pimp record." Nice to see it's still working after all these years.
"I have been spoiled by metal." This is the best comment I have ever heard. October Rust is a master work by this band.
october rust is their second worst for me. it's an amazing album though. slow deep and hard is my favorite.
Love October rust, especially if you listen Lycia - A day in the Stark Corner after it.
Don't forget the awesome album title least of worst! LOL my mom saw that and tried to ask me what it meant and for some odd reason she couldn't understand the concept.
@@LysergiaBandOfficial I agree that slow deep and hard was their best, in my own humble opinion. However, October rust was the end result of the build up to their final, polished sound. Production and musicianship on this album where some of the best from any metal band I've ever heard.
I think BK is better, less polished with more edge and less layers.
"Nettie," a song that he wrote about his mother, shows his incredible, multiple octave vocal range.
Also showcases the lowest note in his voice
That song has been in my head for the last two weeks.
That is a great suggestion too
Nettie is one of my favorites. Miss the Green Man!
My favorite Type O song by far. So very underrated
Tomorrow is 14 years to day since Peter left us and I'm still listening to his songs. He is not only the vocalist and bassist, but also the composer of all their music. RIP Peter Steele🔥❤️
I think he wrote everything and the lyrics are all his.
I'm pretty sure Josh silver composed a lot of their music
@@shawnk7832 that's what OP meant when they said "composer of ALL their music..."
If I’m not mistaken, October Rust was the only album written solely by Peter. The ones that followed were a collaborative effort amongst the whole band. Kenny and Johnny said when Peter was struggling with substance abuse and depression, they literally were going to the studio and putting songs together as they went along. It was like pulling teeth because Peter was not in a good head space.

It is so pleasant to see your strings being played. Peter GOT YOU. As he did me too. One of the best songs ever!
I hear 10 seconds of this song after not hearing it for a while, and immediately have tears rolling down my face. He had such a captivating presence in every form possible. Type O Negative was always a go to in high school in the 90s to lay in my floor with the Xmas lights on and veg out for hours.
"Am I good enough, for you?" is soul-crushing to me. One of the best legacies Peter left us is him daring to speak about fragile and intimate feelings very explicitly, especially in a tough music environment like rock/metal. (Not unlike Devin actually.) This dude fought a lot of inner and outer demons, RIP Peter, your work remains important to many.

His music continues to teach people to this day.

I saw Type O Negative live one day, and the sound was so deep and amazing it puts you in a trance. RIP, Peter.
People have their Christmas albums, summer and party playlists. When the leaves fall, and the wind gives a chill of late autumn, I listened to October Rust.
Hey, TON wrote a Christmas song, and covered a Summer song, and 'Who Will Save The Sane' is kind of a party song. It's a weird party. Shit, they wrote a Valentine's day song too. There's probably an Easter or Labor day song somewhere out there too.
Agreed, but I listen to BK and SD&H year round, as they are the true master works of TON imo.

That is great!!
Her first reaction to seeing Peter Steele? The same reaction to ANYONE seeing Peter Steele for the first time. He is a god and is a musical gift to this mortal plain.
This is their best song, IMHO, assuming you can pick one. It’s so deep. It’s perfection, the mixture of seduction, violence, like you said, and deep, deep, longing for worthiness. Peter added that vampirish accent on purpose. His speaking voice was all NYC. He was the epitome of goth romanticism. They hit like a hammer when Bloody Kisses came out in 1993. I never saw them live, which is one of my biggest musical regrets. RIP Green Man, you’re missed. 💚
This guy was an enigma. He had a machismo that commanded respect, but was also so big and intimidating that he could get away with being sensitive and vulnerable. I mean, would _you_ mess with him?
That openness resonated with a lot of people in a genre of music that tends to lean in to the tough exterior. I mean the guy could sing like an angel ( _and_ like a demon.) Which goes to show, we're all kind of a wonderfully messy blend of strong and weak, bold and timid, powerful and fragile -- but most of us are too scared to show it. When someone comes along and dares to be genuine, it's pretty remarkable.
Well. This whole experience woke up some old feelings.
The day that Peter Steele died was a sad day for music.
twice.....at least . The man , the myth , the ........whatever the f@#cking awesome . Tragedy doesn't cover it , and he would be aware of that .

I so agree with you
I love how emotional peter was, such a huge guy with such a big heart, wish all men were like him... rip you big teddy bear ❤
Josh Silver, Kenny Hickey, and Johnny Kelly- we love you guys. TON would not be what it was if different people played the instruments. The Drab Four was pure magic.
Josh is my favorite rock keyboardist. I was lucky enough to chat with him years ago about non-musical things. Kenny's singing and excellent guitar riffs along with Josh's great keyboards definitely added so much to TON...
Peter was a fascinating person. He just had that strange presence that's hard to describe. At first glance somewhat imposing. Very tall, massive figure. Wide shoulders, athletic. Facial features akin to those of a mythological god chiseled out of marble. Absolutely oozing charisma. Intelligent, soft spoken. And that voice.
“I Don’t Wanna Be Me” “Cinnamon Girl” “Black No 1” “Christian Woman” all great songs. Wish I could’ve seen them in concert before he died 😢
Love Type O's version, but of course Cinnamon Girl is originally a Neil Young song. I don't know if any "reacters" have ever done any direct 'cover vs original' comparison videos, but that could be an interesting concept, I think. At least when you have bands that make a cover song their own, instead of just mimicking the original note for note.
I was fortunate to see them live. So glad I did. It’s a shame Peter is no longer with us.
I had the great opportunity to see them at a small venue night club back in 95" it was GREAT
@@katev8715 He will always be in our hearts!
I saw them in '97 at an outdoor show during the day and they were off. It was like Vampires during the day. LOL
I was lucky enough to see them in '03 at Trees in Dallas drinking Crown with Vinnie Paul at the bar. We loved how many goth chicks were full on in garb. Dime finished the show singing "Black #1" with Kenny. I wanted to see him jumping for Peter's mic. 😂
He was my dream guy, I was crushed when he died. He's still alive to me though. Peter is a musical treasure. ❤

Man was a giant, used a upright double bass (acoustic) as a guitar with chains in black no. 1 but in the end after he died I bought a peavey millennium that he used exact year and model and bought the black light green DR bass strings as him for performances in my younger years.... he was a hero to me as a kid... I remember a couple of us hanging out by the tour bus after the show and Peter came out and offered us pizza and beer. He signed our stuff and just hung out for a while. It was an amazing end to a great show and evening.
such a gentleman
When we visited a concert in Hannover, he came to the side of the stage where we were standing. Peter handed me his half full bottle of wine with a wink and hint of a smile. He told us it was a cheap bottle he bought at a petrol station, but for me it was the best wine I ever drank in my life. I was 16 and ready to die happy after that concert.
Man that would have been so cool. I have only been watching Pete and type O for a week and this is one dude and band I would have liked to have met.
Same scenario but he went inside the tour bus and brought out bread meat and cheese and took them across the street to a park and he made sandwiches for his fans. We all ate and took pics and got autographs. He was so genuinely nice.
must've been mildly terrifying considering his height and stance, would've felt blessed beyond any deity.
Cristian woman, black no.1, and summer breeze are all amazing ones
The live version of Black No. 1 at Dynamo is amazing, specially that scream Peter throws in at the end of the first verse
I second "Summer Breeze" or my favorite "Red Water". I was lucky to be able to see them twice on Bloody Kisses tour, great band live.

Cinnamon Girl is one of my favs. Oh and my girlfriends girlfriend, heh
I would also add In Praise of Bachus
Love your analysis! The way you do your "homework" and dive deeper in every small details of songs! The best reaction channel in this universe! Like in this particular one you opened new thoughts for me; before your reaction I got goose bumps of this song - now drowned into tears while listening this song.
Love your breakdowns of these songs. You do so good at dissecting and describing ,both the emotion and theatrics, of the tones and implications of lyrics.
gothic and romantic go together because that’s a huge theme in gothic music
Despite all that moody, dark atmosphere in their songs, Peter was one of the funniest guys you could imagine, he could make everyone around laughing with tears.
He was a rascal, with a very dark sense of humor, but a big, big heart for his friends, band mates and fans.
He battled with addictions a lot and tragically after he was sober, he died. Not of drugs, but very big guys like Peter are always prone to various health problems.
RIP Green Man, I still miss you.
I obviously know this song well but watching your reaction and "breakdown" of this makes me appreciate what a damn masterpiece this was!!!!
Such a great song that never got all the fame it should have...love your breakdowns!!
The end of this song when he gets to the “Am I good enough for you?” Always makes me so emotional. It switch’s up the whole tone of the song and it’s heart wrenching. It makes me want to cry every time I hear it. What a music Genius he was.
Agreed
This ...all this... every time.
Same as the end of Anesthesia where he screams “I don’t feel anything”
@@RobertL78 YEEEEEES anesthesia 💖
One NEVER forgets the first time they heard this masterpiece
I never will. One of the most beautiful nights of my life.
An early summer night, the kind with those cool breezes...
I got hold of the CD back when it came out, and when I first heard Love You To Death, I was hooked.
THAT was my introduction to Type O Negative.
neverrr
I heard it from a trailer to a video game called Blood a long time ago and I just had to look it up, been a fan Type O fan since
This hits me in the feels. I listened to this band a lot in a certain place in my life. Before everything fell apart. I almost feel hope listening to this. Like it could take me back and I could do it all over. I should put them back in my playlist for real.
The video is shot out of order, kind of like a Tarantino film. I believe the correct order by image would be as follows:
1 - 'Little Red' in the woods, innocent and unknowing, foraging for wood when she gets that feeling of being watched.
2 - Her fleeing the woods
3 - 'The Beast' catching her at night in the woods. (Side note) This scene only flashes for about one second and is easily missed
4 - 'The Beast' and 'Little Red' at the beast's lair. *This is the point where he attempts to convince and seduce into believing that she is in control and he is there but to serve her. She seemingly capitulates but blindfolds and poisons him in attempt to escape.
5 - 'Little Red' running through the halls looking for a way out.
6 - 'Little Red' in a manic state scratching words in the wall. *She understands she is trapped and we are seeing the trauma of her dealing with the situation
7 - 'The Beast' (from Red's perspective) staring at the camera ('Little Red') when 'Little Red' returns to him. 'The Beast' intentionally looks unimpressed and somewhat annoyed.
8 - The bathtub scene. *It's important to note here that he could not "turn" her without her consent, eg. "Your wish is my law.", but that doesn't mean he can't do everything in his power to get 'Little Red' to that point. Stockholm Syndrome
9 - 'The Beast' completing the "ritual"
10 - 'The Beast' sitting down next to the wall waiting 'Little Red's' second return
11 - 'Little Red's' return as a "Beast" herself, smiling and wearing all black.
12 - The "Sex" scene
13 - 'Red as The new Beast' poring candle wax. *The Symbiology here could mean different things for each person. Wax was once used to seal things like letters, wine bottles, etc.. She is sealing something here, but what that is, we are left to make of it what we will. The look of pride on her face might give us a hint, but ultimately it's unclear.
I'm not sure if the other images of the band members are meant to be anything other than filler material or something to be "freaky" to see in some semi-shocking way.
Did I miss anything?
Another woman won by the majestic voice of Peter Steele. You can see that primal passion lurking behind her eyes.
I love a dead racist
Kind of weird, dogg.
ew, creepy
@@kklmfk6440
Why? It's pretty much what she said herself.
, nothing weird or creepy about that
Pete couldn't be held responsible for what women do when he starts singing.
I really enjoyed watching your reactions to one of my favorite songs. It was so great to see someone get excited and have such viceral reactions to the music.
42 year old guy here lol. Ive loved Type O since I was a teenager. Great reaction, I miss this band!
I'm 47 years old,I just discovered Type O Negative, I love this band, becoming obsessed, and Peter Steel is simply hypnotic!
I'm your age but have loved them since the early 90s...most underated band ever.
Bloody Kisses best album!
@@philiom7724 Damn straight!!!
*was..
@@philiom7724 Bloody kisses is an incredible album, but not their best in my opinion. It gets as much recognition as it does because of the songs like Christian Woman, Black #1, and Summer Breeze.
I believe it's a tie between life is killing me, and dead again as their best album. Probably more so life is killing me. But again that's just my opinion.
His voice always sounded like he could destroy you... and the Playgirl photoshoot showed us that he really could destroy you
That was an amazing spread...
Talking about amazing spread have you seen the original album cover of the origin of the feces?
👀👀👀 truth
BWAHAHAHAHA 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
Lmao the matter of fact tone of this is great 🤣
"Christian Woman" is my favourite Track. You have to try the song if you don't know it yet. But please the album version. It goes longer and is even more diverse. Simply divine.
exactly!
I just found your channel. I love hearing someone hear Peter for the first time and get so giddy. It makes me so happy to see his voice impact someone else
I have never seen someone, especially women, not get flustered listening to this song! This man and this band knew how to send power, passion, and melody straight to someone’s heart, overtaking them for 4minutes….
Everyone: I realize now looking at your comments that I analyzed the shortened version of the song. Apologies. There's no going back to do it over, and we're stuck with it. That being said, please recommend another song of Type O Negatives I should check out, and upvote it to eternity so I can add it to my list. . . with the recommended video!
Thank you!
No worries! It's still an incredible song regardless! Can't wait to see your reacrion!
Type O Negative - Unsuccessfully Coping With the Natural Beauty of Infidelity. would be a good follow up!
I don't care, just happy you discovered Peter. He's the only vocalist that has ever made my car windows rattle. Hope you dig into more of TON. Someone made a comp video of his range and it's rather impressive. Anesthesia is a great song, check it out live from Waken or Christain Woman, from Waken....anything from Waken.
Black No1 or Everything he has ever done, TY. :)
Thank you so so much. His music has gotten me through a lot. His passing still hurts to this day.
My favorite songs are Nettie and Anesthesia, although I there aren’t any great quality videos I have found (just audio only).
If you would like a recommendation for a video, Wolf Moon live would be great. But Christian Woman and Black No. 1 are probably the most well known tracks :) enjoy! Can’t wait to see this video tomorrow!

I love Type-O and am so happy you reacted to them! Peters voice is seductive and fits so well with the other musicians!
I’ve heard people complain about the “pitch bending” or notes being slightly out of tune quite a few times in my life, and as a musician I don’t understand how some people can’t appreciate those subtle nuances and sonic colors. They evoke certain emotions for me, especially this song. The guitar solos are super simple but they’re so effective, and it’s because of those pitch bends and the chorus effect and flawless execution. I love this song so much.
RIP Peter…still making the ladies blush down south even from the grave.
Every song on the October Rust album is a banger. I still listen to it at least weekly, despite the fact that it’s almost 26 years old. I was fortunate enough to have gotten to see Type O live in ‘97 and even caught Josh and Johnny (keyboards, drums) at a local pool hall and played several games with them. Type O is just one of those bands whose members compliment one another so perfectly, it could never work if you replaced even one of them. Pete’s sound, using the distortion on the bass guitar, is so unique that you can identify it in almost any mix. Pete left this world far too soon and although they have a large and loyal fan base, I don’t feel that they ever reached the heights that they could have or got the critical recognition they deserve.
It's true. My favorite is Bad Ground. haha
Seriously, this album won me over. A friend of mine played their earlier stuff a LOT. I would give in and let him play it in my car while we drove around, but I just didn't get it. Then this album came out, and he knew it was something special, so he talked it up with that "just listen to it... trust me... you're going to like this." I .. didn't hate it. Quite a few years later, I had a strong urge to listen to it, so I bought my own copy and was hit with that 1000 lb hammer of nostalgia.
I really love how bands in the late 90s would pull from the saccharine sweet melodic sensibilities of the 80s, and the rough edges of metal and grunge from that time. It's a fantastic blend. And I'm a huge sucker for 90s ROMplers, so the MIDI piano drenched in atmospheric reverb... * mwah * Nothing sounds like this anymore, and I miss it so so much.
Be my druidess. That's a panty dropping song
Fuck man I wish I'd seen them live. I didn't leave school until 98 and it wasn't until about 2005 that I heard the music. I've seen some cool bands, but I missed a few by my short hairs. :(
I have a friend that's a local rock station DJ, and back in the 90's she gave me the October Rust CD. I threw it on my stack of CD's and forgot about until I was bored and gave it a listen. I was completely struck by the sound of the band, their uniqueness. 'Love You to Death' wasn't even my favorite song off the CD, but I grew to love it over the years. I'm sorry I never got to see the band live, but I'm sorry that I didn't see a lot of bands live. For some reason I thought that youth would last forever...8\
Nobody refers to any decent music,ESPECIALLY from this era as a bAnGeR
Take that stupid modern parlance elsewhere "bruh"
I've listened to this song countless times and I always fall in love with it all over again.
As a life long Type O Negative fan.. It was a pure joy watching your reaction to the late great Peter Steele as well as the band as a whole. You certainly picked the right song to dive into Type O Negative. Love you to Death is easily my favorite song of theirs. Though, they have so many fantastic songs in their catalog. Type O Negative was definitely one of a kind.. as was Peter... there's never gonna be another band like them. I feel like they were a once in a lifetime kind of band. But hey.. people like you finding their music keeps the band going.. and I for one think that's incredible. Thank you for posting this and taking the time out to do this. Again, it was a pure joy to watch. I subscribed to your channel. I'm interested to see other songs/bands you dive into.
Peter and Kenny were so awesome at layering their voices together to give that harmonization that you hear. It seems so rare anymore after Peter and Kenny as well as Lane Staley and Jerry Cantrell.
Peter was just... Damn... Such an amazing talent we lost too soon.
*Layne
100%🤘
Yep. ..
In terms of hard rock/metal, it is tough to beat the harmonies in TON or AIC. Van Halen had some good harmonies too.
Peter Steele's accent is the dirtiest, nastiest Brooklyn accent you've ever heard in the very best of ways.
The sexiest filthy Brooklyn accent ever!
BEHOLD! Peter's powers....on full display. love it...
Love how invested you are in the music to see the joy of experiencing something new brings joy toy heart
There's a reason that every time he sung a note, goth girl's panties instantly dropped. Hell, mine did and I'm a heterosexual male!
Lmao!!
lmmfao
How many copies of his Playgirl issue did you buy? =oD
@@MrSkyblu1 I'm sorry but what... I need to find a copy of that.
Not any more you're not.
You just explained in words all that I felt when I fell in love with Peter Steele at 14 years old 😅 I wanted to stay up to see a concert of theirs live on German TV on a Thursday I think, and I asked my dad to please please please let me stay up cause the concert started at midnight. My dad wanted to check what I was going to watch, so he stayed up with me. He heard the first two songs and he was like: this guy is a colossus. And then he went to bed. One of the best memories I have from my teenage years ❤️
Lovely memory ♥️
Ich war im aladin beim Konzert und ging! nach einer halben Stunde...what? Die Menge ist ausgeflippt und ich wurde unter Lederjacken, Nieten und Boots förmlich zertrampelt . Heute bereue ich gegangen zu sein. Franka
super cool memory!
Best dad ever
I love a dead racist
I can't believe I wasn't already subscribed! I already know this is gonna be a thumbs up. I can't wait to hear your take on his vocals.
Great analysis! Luv u caught the aura of the song. I absolutely love this song.
Saw the Title, Instant Like.
Been waiting for you to listen to Type O Negative!
Can't wait to see your face the instant he sings. RIP Peter Steele.
So much of Peter Steele's music came from personal pain and loss. And you can feel it in his lyrics. We lost him too soon.
Most that pain came for withdrawal, rather it cocaine or blood.
He was a racist cry baby. He experianced noting out of the ordinary. We'll all lose our parents at some point and yes, cats die too. Legend has it most poeple get left by their partners, some even more then once.
@@SxSxG666 boo hoo to you then
I love the piano/keyboard work in this specific Type O Negative. This whole song is really pretty. Very rare I enjoy music I call "pretty". HIM's pretty good at it too. You should do a video on them if you haven't already! I recommend their cover of Wicked Game or Drown in This Love.
