Creek Fishing for BIG TROUT! (Rainbow & Tiger Trout)

- I went creek fishing for BIG TROUT with my buddy Colin at Yellow Creek Trout Club. It was a beautiful fall day with temps around 65 degrees. It was sunny with very little wind. The creek was low, clear and very cold. The big trout were super aggressive! I started out with a float rig but soon switched to a jerkbait which put some epic trout in our nets. I caught my first ever TIGER TROUT! It was an absolute beast! I also caught a bunch of very nice rainbow trout. Colin caught some monster rainbow trout as well. The conditions weren't the best, but we fished hard and made it happen. We had a great day of trout fishing at the creek. Can't wait to do it again soon!

Thank you Youngman for sharing a good fish trip N your friend as well...
Despite fishing being occasionally exciting watching Fish Hawk and those beautiful trouts drops my blood pressure! Thank you !
Congrats, your guest caught his first fish ever. Thanks so much for helping the handicapped. I can't believe you really helped him catch fish. You're awesome bro.
I went to college in Indiana PA. Spent too much time drinking, partying, and chasing girls rather than exploring the outdoors.
Must've been some real dime pieces in western PA!
Indiana or PA?????
Average IUP experience
And you went wrong where ? 😂
Trout fishing at it's finest! Great Job!!
I love watching your videos. Especially this one because I'm planning a three day camping and trout fishing trip with a buddy from work in May. Can't wait.
THATS WHAT YOU CALL A GREAT DAY OF FISHING ,,YOUR TIGER TROUT WAS AWESOME 😁👍🏽
One pointer I'd like to share with you that will definitely help you out. The drag setting is essential, especially when attempting to land trophy fish. I've noticed that your drag is on the heavy side a lot. If you hook into a 30 inch trout with a tight drag setting.. it'll be all over but the crying. Great video as always, Hawk🤙
I agree with you on this,I usually keep my drag very lose with great results in landing big trout ,I've caught 3 big trout this season using this method,I informed my brother about and he had great results in landing 3 big trout this year, his biggest was a 6lb.palimeno trout.
Yep. I hooked a brown once on a rapala on 6lb test that was huge, possibly 30" - it came upstream towards me, spun, and snap. Was so quick the drag never even engaged. I got a better reel after that (same shimano Fish Hawk was using) and also made sure I always had fresh 6lb p-line on the spool.

I don’t seem to get it do I want my drag set so line WONT pull out of reel or do I want it so hear it clicking when line is pulling out
@@jcathell100Your drag should be set tight enough to provide resistance, but not so tight your line breaks. I fish 6lb for trout, so if my drag is set to 8lb, the line will break before line can be fed out. If it’s only set to 2lb, it doesn’t provide as much resistance to fight fish. So as heavy as you can without breaking off! Drag helps tire the fish AND keep line from breaking. It’s how fly fishermen land large fish with 3-4 lb line.
Look at those steeles! Those are beautiful impressive fish!
Awesome job buddy! Both you and your friend! Those were some beautiful rainbows and tigers! And such a beautiful creek!
Thanks buddy!
Great video! It always helps to have a good fishing buddy😊
awsome! PA sure has some good fishing!
those are some beautiful fish, gonna give trout fishin a try this year. Awesome video!
Thank you for making and posting this video. Loved it!
Looks like an amazing spot, thanks as always brother
Thanks for watching!
Life doesn’t get better than good fishing with good friends in beautiful scenery like that. Excellent video as always and go Cowboys!!
Thank you! Heck yeah! 😃
loved the video! i went out to my local creek and caught some giant brown trout today cant wait to get back out there!
Thank you! That’s great 😃
@@FishHawkAre the fish at that club wild? Or is there an onsite hatchery?
What a great spot! Little spillways like that sure grow them big.
Thanks for a great fishing video.
These are some amazing fish. Great video.
Wow 🎉 what an adventure!!!!
Promise kept.
Some big fish in that river.
I use a Shimano Stradic 2500 because the spool from the 3500 also fits it. 1 reel and can rapidly switch line weights at will. 2Lbs on one, 4Lbs, 8Lbs and 15Lbs (the 3500 spool) on individual spools. Makes changes a cakewalk.
Honestly imma just keep it simple your videos are great and they bring people who like to fish close yo I love fishing this just made my day seeing this to be honest
Appreciate it! 😎
Great video guys! Never fished for trout before…gotta get myself some gear. Great stuff, beautiful fish
Hard to beat the old jerk minnow. I love the Rapala brown trout minnow, have caught trophy trout, smallmouth, and even walleye on it. Never caught a tiger trout though that was awesome!
exploring in unknown territory is exciting. u never know what your gonna catch. your videos are fun and fish are big
You are fıshing in a wonderful river. Good luck my friend 👋👋👋

Awesome catches, congrats on the tiger! Spinner bite has slowed to a crawl on my part of the Columbia, I’ve gotta learn some new skills, drifting or jerkbaits… somethin’!
Thanks man! Gotta figure them out 😉😎
Wooow excellent fishing video 🙏
Cuaca yang tepat untuk memancing dan ikan yang besar
Man oh man oh man! That tiger trout was one beautiful creature! I've never caught a tiger. Just browns, brookies and bows so far.
I imagine how good these taste, they are in pure clean spring water good video.
Like technique and presentation, guaranteed hookup with patience, definitely going to apply that this spring and this winter🤔🤔👍
Great place lots of fun there
Nice fishes 👍👍
I really appreciate your videos, love the shore fishing. I really like that you tell us what gear you are using.
Awesome tiger hope to catch one some day

Awesome guys. Never seen a Tiger Trout.
Those fish put up hell of a fight

Colin's reaction to the release was worth the subscribe alone lol
Big Fish brother 😀 Keep spirit and working
You guys are catching my pb every cast
Right on great vid!
Wonderful video. Watched it with my dad in the nursing home. He said “the browns are the hardest to catch.” You do a service.😊
Appreciate it! Glad you fellas enjoyed the video 😃
Fishing ia really fun😍
Let’s go I love you vids always wanted to catch a tiger trout
Thank you!
A fantastic job on catching those beauties, nothing but a bunch of nice size trout. I bet they gave you a fight while you were reeling them in.
m
Awesome videos a lot of action
Awesome!! What else can be said!
Thank you!
Yea that's right go Cowboys! Awesome video guys!
Thank you! 😃
Great video.
Great stuff! You do realize you're only as good as your net man...? I'm a big bait spinning setup guy for trout too - what a pleasure watching you guys in action!! Very nice that you're out in the fall; the big trout in my experience are there (in the deep holes and drop offs) year round if you're tossing the right bait/lure. Thanks! Going back in for more episodes 👍👍👍👍👍
Always thought the only good fishing was out here in the west.
You guys have some really beautiful rivers back east.
That first rainbow trout thought she was a steelhead someone forgot to tell her LoL they got to be eating round the clock and a lot of it to put that kind of weight and length on. I never hooked a tiger trout I mostly fish for salmon and steelhead in the fall into winter. Great video that river looks beautiful I miss the great lakes and there tributaries I lived in Cleveland Ohio most of my life and fished Michigan Ohio Pennsylvania and New York for trophy brownies salmon steelhead Smalley's walleye. I love elk creek in pa.
Been using the Dynamic Lures Trout HD for years now...In my opinion its right up there with Rapala for the minnow imitator.
Landed a 22 inch brown today. Pretty stoked about it lol
The tiger trout is still on my list here in NJ. I’ve seen em. P.A is just a 30 minute ride so we usually get em there.
On my list also! Supposedly still here in OR. Good luck 🤞
This one time me and my Dad were fishing a dam that separates Lake Simcoe and Canal Lake. It was also a lift lock for boats to travel by being brought up and down by hydraulic elevation. On the Simcoe side there was a 60 foot drop and the Canal side level with the top of the dam. Me and my Dad noticed Carp spawning on the Simcoe side 60 feet down my Dad had to take a work call in his vehicle that was parked next to the walkway, so I kept fishing. I manage to hook a Carp so I got out on the 60 foot tall concrete platform with no rails or barriers and fought and towed the fish around platform I was standing on. After the second pillar heading my Dad looks over and realizes what I am doing. So basically to land the fish I had to throw my rod into a tree on the shore. Me and my Dad climb down a 60 foot hill. I get my rod out of a tree and untangle my line and start reeling all of the slack to realize the fish is still on the line, and eventually landed it. No scale, no photographs, all I have is this story. But it was the biggest fish I landed as a kid. My Dad was both not happy with what I did, but also very proud. You climbing down off that walkway and railing reminded me of this story lol.
That’s an awesome memory! Thanks for sharing! 😃
Awesome man! Awesome tiger. My offer still stands to come up to Michigan and fish with me 😬
Thanks man!
My dream place 💜
Nice catch.
What a great day!!
Love those stockers
good job catching some hatchery raised pellet deformed monsters
I live about 45 min from that creek. I had a friend invited there couple years ago, he got some really nice fish also.
Tiger trout are some of my favorite to catch
They’re pretty awesome!
Great tiger … dying to get one of those myself only one i have not caught many congrats great video as always
Thanks man!
I've never been there, but I'm pretty close to it. I thought that's where you were when I first saw the water. That is a gorgeous stream overall, but especially through that stretch where the fish are protected and they stock hogs the fishing is wild!
Huge trout, Go Cowboys
Even though it wasn't the biggest, I'd take that Tiger all day. Nice job FH.
Thanks man!
Great video! Very informative and entertaining loved how you showed us each lure. Do you have any videos where you fish, cook and clean the trout? Or do you not eat trout?
I’d love to see this video too
Very good fishing...regards from Bosna and Hercegovina...From DRINA River🎣🎣🐡🐠🐟

I would love to catch some tigers nice job
Thank you!
Man I wish my creeks and river weren’t blown out right now!
Wow another great day. Won't let me like for some reason
Liked the video nice trout
Future reference its better to fish from the back of any hole, drift, or run so you arent seen by fish. You cant see them but they definitely can see you
