@@williamcolgin1987 another fun achievement would be, "spent 7 hours complaining about realm down and having nothing to do only to log on, minimize the game and start chatting on vent with their friends". this would go along with the fruit loop title

This is going to be a great city to explore and live in and also the fact that a dwarven hammer kills you is actual something I want to see blizzard do with creative deaths in wow.

Usually play horde, but have dabbled in some alliance, only as dwarves. So, excited for horde dwarves.
But also, this reminds me of those places you guy after the snowy areas when making a dwarf. Dunno the name (Loch Modan?). Either way, always thought it was neat and happy to see more of stuff that looks like that and IF
i use void storage for hoarding my (non-stackable, soulbound) mementos that I don't want to sell. also previous seasons gear/ transmog I'd been farming for ages. Stuff that I don't need in my bank. My bank full of snowballs, pumpkin heads, Vessels of Horrific Visions and Zskera Vault keys ;) important stuff!
This is really cool city. it has a Iron Forge modernized feel to it!

Is it just me? Or does it look like the Isle of Dorn in the beginning of this video is just Lunarfall in Shadowmoon Valley from WoD reskinned and scaled up a bit. Dronogal sits where the Garrison was at Lunarfall ( for Alliance players, of course ) and the mountains to the back right are exactly where Tanaan Jungle sits in WoD with basically the same profile? Bro. This is Shadowmoon Valley from WoD, I'd swear it. They just had to spread it out a bit more to fit a capitol city instead of our Garrison. If so, this will give even a new zone a sense of familiarity for those of us who played WoD. The profile of the zone and layout are just too similar to me. It's almost like you can envison flying through the valley on the left side of Dronogal, right over the shipyard to get to the West side of Tanaan Jungle where we used to farm mobs for hours. OR, alternatively, I've gone insane.

i was just thinking what the new big city would look like.
One problem Valdrakken has, is that every important thing is compacted in 1 area. So you have bank + Inn + Weekly quest + Vault + AH in one place. And that causes a lot of Frame Drops for people with lower end pcs. This, hopefully will take away that kind of problem :D
just get a job dude, a $1000 computer especially nowadays can run WoW with max graphics and get over 60 fps easily, the problem is most people think you need a high end graphics card to run MMO's when it's actually the CPU is the main bottleneck always get an i7 don't even bother getting an i5 nowadays and just get the cheapest graphics card like a 3060 Ti or 4060 Ti you don't even need the high end GPU's WoW is not graphically intense it's CPU intense
Damn, this first zone looks like a pretty big area, possibly even bigger than DF zones. Also, the city looks pretty massive, i like it. If this is the alternative to Dalaran, i certainly don't mind
it looks way better than Dalaran, Dalaran is literally just a circle just like Shattrath both overrated, this is the best capital city Blizzard have ever added by far it's not even a contest and this is only Alpha it's not even filled in with NPC's yet

why are the earthen so small? should they not be larger than most dwarves?
so thats what my blanchy sin runner and headless horseman mounts will look like with the new flying.........hmmmm. needs some adjustments me thinks

You should consider Shattrath. Auctioneer, bank, guild bank, mailbox, all without ever having to leave the bank and go outside. No Engineering required for the Auctioneer, unlike Dalaran or Mists.

@@PeterTeehan I have bank alts in all capital cities, including both banks in SW, Org, and Shatt. If you want AH access, you cannot beat the Shattrath banks for how compact everything is. If AH isn’t as much of a factor I really like Darnassus and SW/IF are pretty similar. On Horde side, the Undercity is surprisingly nice if you stay along the southern bridge between the bank area and mailbox (just don’t fall off the bridge). Thunder Bluff is also a very compact setting, though the unusual setup with the guild bank being outside takes some getting used to. Silvermoon is unbeatable if you can rely on a toy for mailbox access and aren’t worried about AH access, as the bank and guild bank are right on top of each other and your alt doesn’t have to move around at all. Orgrimmar (either bank) is much the same setup as Stormwind (either bank) and Ironforge, though the Orgrimmar AH is further away than even Ironforge’s. All still good setups if you just need bank, guild bank, and mailbox.

WoD had the most cluttered zones out of any expansion what do you mean, even Nagrand had way too much going on and the verticality in WoD was the worst

way better than Boralus, but Boralus was still better than Dalaran, Shattrath, and Oribos, because they were just circles and super boring

The hips/leg movement on these post-WoD horse mounts bothers me so much, their center of gravity being on their back legs is awful
imagine running in the air without any ground for your feet to land on and your hips would probably move all funny too
@@SoulSoBreezy Not just in the air, all those WoD era skeletons run really really awkwardly, the WoD Pigs don't even move their shoulders, its just a bummer when we've had fully actuated horse skeletons since WoWs inception that every new one has to be stuck with this skeleton :c they acknowledged it and 'looked into it' during WoD beta then nothing changed
@@ChichiNaka oh man, I thought I was crazy. I don't mind the dynamic flying animation but watching those back hips jut up every time has bugged me for a long time.
Kinda bummed its 'just' standard dwarven architecture, same with Arathi I would have hoped these cultures would develop different given their walled offedness compared to the rest of the game, hell look at Gilneas compared to lorderon/stormwind and they were only behind a wall for a few years
A walled city is a neccessity in any fantasy city besides there is very little difference between Earthen, Iron Dwarves and regular dwarves

looks way better than Boralus because %80 of Boralus had mobs and wasn't actually a part of the city hub. The actually city hub was only the port.
first thought in the first 10 seconds is the zone looks like dragon isles.....
Isle of Dorn does have similar aesthetics to some dragon isles areas so it’s not surprising
This is perfect. Just tell blizzard not to add anything else except pvp, raid and dungeons and we might have a great game to look forward too.
In all serious though, I like the city, but I can't help but wonder why they made it so spread out. It will just make the game feel more empty with even less players

I actually don't like it. It looks like a mix of Dragonflight/BoA had a baby. The game is really showing it's age to me in this starting city.

There's almost no such thing as horde and ally in modern wow. It is what it is tho I'm used to it now. That's one reason classic wow will always have players tho.
Alliance already got Blood Elves and I didn't want that shit. Then to add insult to injury the Dracthyr humanoids were also reskinned Blood Elves. Wild. Atleast Horde got Nightborne which don't share the same model as Night Elves their a completely new model exoskeleton.
