- THE DARK ELEMENT featuring forrmer Nightwish singer Anette Olzon did their debut concert at Sweden Rock Festival, June 7th 2018. Super cool set of songs from the amazing debut album! Great to see Olzon back in action with an excellent band. Hope they will keep it going!

She’s been preparing a lot for live performances since TDE came out and it really payed off she sounds AMAZING live! I loved her in her nightwish days but this is such an improvement I love her sooo much queen

Annette has a totally unique voice. It sets her apart from all the other female metal singers who either try to sound operatic like Tarja or guttural fry like Tatyana Shmailyuk. She doesn’t try to imitate anyone else, and I respect her for thar.
EXACTLY. Her vocal style reminds me of Charlotte from Delain-who doesnt get shit for singing with somewhat similar vocals to Anette. 😖
Charlotte's voice is way lower and darker and their timbres are also very different -- Charlotte's sounds nothing like Anette's. Anette has one of the highest voices in the world (medium lyric soprano with light and bright tone) and she was taught the right belting technique that most singers weren't taught. They picked Anette for a good reason.
They picked Anette for her voice because it matched mine the most so she was the one they chose to sing the songs Eva and Cadence Of Her Last Breath which are about me.
The songs Ghost And The Reaper and My Sweet Mystery are about me and my real-life protector Chip -- he's one of the top ClA agents and he's been directly and indirectly involved in the production/creation of most songs and movies and videos that were made over the past 8 years.
The other singers in the music industry can't sound/sing like Anette cause their voices are not high enough and light enough to get a clear sound and sing in that high pitch (like she sings in most of the DPP and Imaginaerum songs and in The Dark Element and Parasite) and, this makes Anette the best known singer in the music industry -- also based on song difficulty, as her songs are harder than most other songs for the avrg soprano, and lower voices would have to strain even more to sing one of those songs, or they go into mixed voice, so they can't get that clear sound.
Jani Liimatainen is one of the best composers in metal.
Johnny Vavruška Cains Offering's Stormcrow is his best work imo

Sonata (golden ages), Cain's Offering and now The Dark Element is the best work of Janni. He's amazing to compose

I discovered Anette after I discovered Tarja and Nightwish! I love her voice and couldn't wait to order her solo cd and now I have to get this cd also! Love her voice!
Her vocals live have improved a lot since Nightwish. She looks much happier and more relaxed.
The questions in my head concerning the treatment of female vocalists in Nightwish just make me wonder, why is it that the former singers look happier out of the band doing their own thing? I admire Tuomas for his musical artistry but it makes me troubled that his people relating skills may be lacking. I am glad that Tarja and Anette have found better places after leaving the band.
Well they weren't match made heaven, Nw and Tarja or Nw and Anette. Floor is the match made in heaven, she made Nw better. I do not state those earlier times and music were bad, not at all, just that those people were not fully committed to Nw.

@@eloysuopunki7926 not sure about tarja not being committed didnt start listening to them till nemo was released then she decided to leave, smart move on her part seeming as anette got replaced cos she had pregnancy complications whilst touring and poor girl also put up with a lot of hate but she still stuck with them till tuomas kicked her to the curb
@@eloysuopunki7926 I don't agree with you. Floor is an amazing singer but Nightwish's last album with her wasn't the best. I believe she can do better than that. The only problem with Nightwish, Toumas is very demanding, and Tarja couldn't be her freely, that's why she wasn't happy. Now she's free and she can sing how she want it. That's why she's happy now. Anette is an amazing singer too but she didn't fit in Nightwish unfortunately, and I believe Toumas was very demanding with her because, first her attitude, second getting pregnant, i think twice while she was in the band, and third her voice wasn't what he was looking for. But now this new band with Anette sounds amazing. This band fit perfectly with her. Floor fit with Nightwish since she can sing every song from them but i think Nightwish was better when Tarja was in it.

Wow, they sound great live. Anette really nailed the parts and she looks very healthy. Sucks the drummer changed, not sure of the circumstances though.
Either way, if they continue I think they could be a huge success. The album was fantastic and their live show sounds great.

Anette is great, a world class singer! She gave the best two highest selling albums in Nightwish history i.e. Dark Passion Play & Imaginereum. Here she's again rocking with Jani in TDE. She also did great with Russell Alen. BTW: She's not a cover artist. She's been always great with her own songs i.e. written for her. Always with her! 🤘

No, I get what he is saying. The last NW album is kind of a stinker. However, the second album with Floor may be better. Just as the first NW album with Anette wasn't the best, the second one was really good. Course, that depends on if they keep adding stupid narrative garbage into it.
