They had just adjusted them to fit the modern era before this gril came out Don't get me wrong, the size isnt the issue for me but the design makes then look like weird nostrils. The outline also used to have a luxury feel to them But that said, the grill on this car looks 10x better than usual for some reason
I bought a 420D M sport Plus with tech plus pack . I like it as much as the 840D. Simply brilliant. Comfortable , fast, quiet, looks stunning ( my mate thought it was the 8 series) .... and 60mpg / 600mile range from a 65L tank .
I have the m440i no one has ever complained about the grill in real life, people have literally got out there cars and complimented it, a lady came up to me out of no where and said she loves it nothing but compliments
If you don’t like the grill on the new 4 series, then you certainly cannot like the grill on an Audi. It will grow on us and in a year, nobody will care.

My partner purchased 4.20i model, he finds it amazing and value for money. it is loaded with technology, looks sexy and is definitely a head turner. Artic blue colour is a good look. smooth drive no complaints so far.
Frameless Windows: 3 series convertible. Bulge over the arches: 3 series E9x. This is the like the 6 series being cancelled into the 8 series for more money. Just feel like I'm getting ripped off. These 'exclusive features' already existed in previous 3 series.
Big grill or not, the 4 series does look great overall. The grill can look better in darker exterior colours. Merry Christmas to you Doug and hopefully many more reviews in 2021. :-)

As predicted the new looks of the 4 has slowly started gaining acceptance... The reason is simple...you just don't like the look of a car just because it's good.. But for the reason it is standing out from the current crop of Bmws...its worthy.
I think the grille looks really beautiful if it's in black, better than the old grille, however at first I didn't like it , but now I think it's great.
You may not like this interpretation of the kidney grille, but to say that it doesn't have one when it's BMW's return to kidney-shaped grilles that is so controversial makes that a weird comment to leave.
That grille 👎 Like one commenter said, it needs a smaller kidney grille and a Hofmeister kink to make it a real BMW. Also, I notice the presenter always grips the wheel at quarter to three. Just like how the racing drivers at Fifth Gear do it 👍

I did notice though back then when I was configuring both the 3 and 4 series to my liking, (I was planning on ordering one of then) that when you're planning on adding a lot of options, similar configured 3-series and 4-series did cost almost as much. It's just that a bit more stuff was standard on the 4-series. Also some options on the 4-series were slightly less expensive than on the 3-series?? Hmm ...
I tried a lot to like this new 4 series but it’s just disgusting that grill Bmw killed this model because of that and probably they will see it in their sales

But give a car the design of a garbage can, write "BMW" on it and offer it at a high price, and the brand believing crowd worships it and snatches it from your hands. (Some of the people will, in addition, give recommendations in what color the garbage can will look best.)
I'm not sure why you would say "3 year warranty" so proudly. It is 3 years you are talking about. How about 10 year warranty if BMW is confident about their reliability. BMW has perfected their parts to fail after certain time so that people have to take their car back to be fixed and pay hard-earned money.
Question: whats the height of the vehicle like over speed bumps in city driving? Please tell me you don't scrape the tarmac over the bigger speed bumps. Thanks.
I appreciate the interior, the driving capabilities, iDrive and the back of the car. The rest is an eyesore. Especially the front grill ofcourse but also the lowered feature line on the side makes it look a bit frumpy and random. I still like the feature line of the 3 series coupe and first gen 420 series best.
An extreme refresh that will take a while but while event grow on you in my opinion. Interior is a different story altogether. The competition however indeed looks more refined - front fascia exterior. Take a peek @ the A5 and C class coupe.
I had one as a courtesy car the other day, a 2021 420i Gran Coupe G26. I liked the looks, the comfy m sport seats, the heads up display on the windscreen, the four doors, the Harmon Kardon audio, the ride quality, the cruise control system, the wiper washer system, the indicator stalk is normal to operate not like my E90. I disliked the digital square speedometer and instruments, idrive has always been overly complex and distracting imo, I'm only 32 but so many screens and options does my head in. It was quickish, but it was so smooth that it didn't feel quick, I guess that's due to the 8 speed auto, maybe in manual mode it's better? The soundtrack was pretty non existent, the steering was too light, the brake pedal was abit mushy though the brakes were effective, the economy wasn't very impressive unless driven like a saint but I guess it's about as good as a modern heavyish 2.0 petrol auto with 181bhp could hope for. All in all its a good car but in my opinion too much tech and some fundamentals that should be better considering its a £45-£50k car.
I think the big grille looks great! Unlike the 7 series and the X7 (and even X3/4) it somehow works and doesnt look like Bette Davis in What happened to Baby Jane, like it had overdone it with the make up

I love it, grill and all but that is the absolute perfect colour for that car in white say,think it drops a bit But my main issue is the shape of the infotainment binnacle, did someone over order a boat load back in 2010? And need to get rid of them? Seriously BMW if I looked into this car, I'm of to buy a Merc

Diesel cars have been demonized by European politicians and branded as the major perpetrators of CO2 emissions, global warming and cancer. They’re being slowly banned from cities and taxed out of circulation. Quite sad actually as they’re still the best engines for people who travel a lot of kilometers.
Will be missing the next 6 years of 4 series purchases based on that grille alone. I’ll buy a 2020 F32 as my next car and run it till they fix the looks. It doesn’t matter if you like the grille, knowing that you’d splashed £50k on car that everyone else thinks looks like cr@p should be enough to put any driver off.
Doesn't have that loom that screams classic like the e46. The newer ones like this ride like crap too. They feel almost numb due to electronic steering and lack of Hydraulic steering. The quality doesn't look as good as the older models. I bet this car doesn't ride anywhere near as good as a 2006 e46 330i ZHP.

430i is very cheap in Europe. But the price in Thailand is 130,990 $. It is very expensive because of the import tax.

Just bought the 430d xdrive version. Perlecent white all chrome blacked out. Looks great and even better to drive.

Looking seriously at buying this for commuting etc, was either this or mx5 rf (which is cheaper but a little smaller)
