    TOPIC: WALK BY FAITH
DEVOTION, WORD FOR THOUGHT AND PRAYERS WITH APOSTLE ABRAHAM ABODERIN
    TEXT: 2 Kings 6:15-17 (NIV)
15 When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. ‘Oh no, my lord! What shall we do?’ the servant asked.
16 ‘Don’t be afraid,’ the prophet answered. ‘Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.’
17 And Elisha prayed, ‘Open his eyes, LORD, so that he may see.’ Then
the LORD opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all round Elisha.
The bible teaches us that we should walk by faith and not by sights. The tendency is always there for us to walk based on the things that we see and hear. We are instructed not to walk by how we feel or what we see, but we are to walk by the instructions that God has given us
In this passage we learn that Elisha and his servant were surrounded by an army of enemies. Sometimes in life, we are also hemmed in by circumstances and situations of life that may seem overwhelming. Elisha’s servant did what was natural by focussing on what he saw and the situation that they were in. When we focus on our situations, we forget God who is always with us and we get overwhelmed by our circumstance
As a believer, you must never forget who is with you and when you face a great challenge, remember that God is greater than any circumstance. Elisha was not scared of the army that surrounded them because he knew that God’s army that was with them was greater.
Do not waste your time praying against the enemy or the devil, but rather go before God in prayer and worship. When you worship God in the middle of your circumstance, God’s glory will come down to destroy your situation. Do not be afraid and do not be discouraged. Let your spiritual eyes be open to the greatness of God’s army that goes everywhere with you.
    - Today ask God to open your eyes to see things that others cannot see.
    - Today ask God to help you to have more faith in Him
    - Today ask God to help you not to be fearful when you are surrounded by the situations of life
    - Today ask God to help you to see His greatness at work in your life
    - Today ask God to help you to see the angels that He has placed in your life to guard you
