I just want to point out something fun. This is Dani's first time meeting everyone, but he already knew who they all were. His first words with Sam were complimenting him and turned into a big running hug. He won over everyone real quick.
It wasn’t his first time meeting everyone, he was injured so no one had seen him play.
The moment jerk it out comes on for anyone, you can’t help but love them

Dani is probably the only character who is more optimistic than Ted. I love the energy he brings. Specially love that he and Jamie seem to be becoming friends.

There were lots of clues early on. He was always a kiss up/kick down personality, and his roast of the players wasn't just someone being honest, but getting revenge.
Nah Nate was still a good buddy at this point of time. He laughed because Jamie had bullied him a lot and he got excited about him being sad

i’m so glad he eventually gets better. I think what he just needed all along was to learn confidence and humility and because of ted, he did! In that order! Nate truly did become a better person in the end (although the pacing was a little odd i admit but they had to cram it all in 3 seasons) and i am glad he was redeemed.
I knew what kind of character Dani was the moment he ran in a circle for no reason. Entering singing his own name? Could be another Jamie. Running around like a literal golden retriever because he’s so happy he needs to physically express it? I know him and I love him.

Dani showcasing his skills here is hands-down the happiest and most beautiful scene in the show. The music, the camerawork, Dani’s smile… I always come back to it for an energy boost.
Great example of show instead of tell, as a huge football fan I was waiting for a moment like this in the series, where an actor pulls off some actual skills

I love how Dani is always enthusiastically singing and repeating his name out loud over and over.
Never seen the series actually, but that clip gives me a vibe of words I once heard: "some players want titles, some want money but sometimes we see those that just want to play, who bring this childish perspective of football on pitch, and those might not be the most skilled, but they are passionate and they awake these feelings in all of people watching them play.
