    I like how Dr. Sharon’s true emotions come out when she’s “off the clock”. Shows how much she cares about those guys. When she was “on the clock” she was as all business. That lady did a great job playing her.

    Fun Fact: The story where a football team got relegated in the 1st year, promoted the 2nd year and won the league in the 3rd year has been done before in real life. The german football team "1. FC Kaiserslautern" won the Bundesliga season 1997/98 under the exact same circumstances.

    This game had everything from season 1 wrapped. The crowd chanting “wanker” (but not at Ted), George’s shorts, Nate’s decoy play, Sam hitting the winning goal, BBQ Sauce, Nate jumping into Ted’s arms, “The Dance”, and probably more that I forgot.

      @@stevarino1989 true but it suits the show more. its trying to not be this fairytale cinderella story but more grounded in realism. and tries to (and manages to) relate to everydaythings. in this instance, they might not have won. But were amazing and should be celebrating themselves and their achievments. Even if its not first spot. but still an amazing feat
      theres actually a study on gold silver and bronce medalists at olympia.... silver are kinda unhappy (even though they did amazing. Gold is happy, but bronce tends to be the happiest bunch (they are so happy to just finish with a medal). And this shows: you can and should celebrate a 2nd place aswell

      @@liamray8736 #14 has to be level with the second-to-last defender (which in this case is Isaac) when the ball is played forward. Usually the last defender is the goalkeeper, but Zorro was out of position, which means the defender standing in goal (I assume it's Jan Maas) is the last defender.

    I loved Ted correctly recognising offside, Beard's stunned confusion and Roy's head nod of approval and look of respect to Ted that he called it. The checking of the fiver was hilarious cause even though I love Beard I would check any money he gave me.

      @@MetalSniper63 Yes but Zorro wasn't in goal. The rule is to be beyond the 'second to last defender'. Since Zorro was way out as he pushed the ball, Jan maas was actually the final defender which puts the West Ham player offside.

    The series finale is a masterclass on how to finish a show. All of the tie ins to the first episode and season are beautiful. You see how everyone's characters have developed over the course of the show. Honestly don't know if I've seen a better ending to a show

      @@JohnSmith-wh2obYep, agreed. I watched it in a binge after the finale instead of week to week, and it definitely seems like it’s a more enjoyable season to watch when there isn’t a ton of time to wait between each episode (makes it easier to follow everything as it unfolds).

      Another tie in between this episode and the first one is that in the first episode the first word we hear Rebecca say is "Rupert", because he hangs over her like a dark cloud and she is obsessed with bringing him down. In this episode her final word that we hear is "Rebecca", signifying she has moved past Rupert and is ready to be her own person and live life on her terms. I love this so much.

    I think Doctor Jacob's reactions weren't a disdain for football but a sad realization that nothing he did could ever get that reaction from Michelle and Henry. He would always be in Ted's shadow. Given his ethical shortcomings it's hard to feel sorry for him.

Some places do have a rule where you could date a patient if you haven’t worked with them for a set number of years, but even then it’s still considered inappropriate. Not to mention he was literally Ted and Michelle’s marriage counselor, and it was his idea for Ted to “give Michelle space”

I think 2 years is the standard, but even then therapists for the most part don't do it at all. losing your license is a whole different game. if the timeframe is less than 2 years, he would definitely lose his license.

    One of my favorite parts is Ted taking the imaginary ESPY back from Nate and tossing it over his shoulder because his demonstration was done and it was no longer needed. Genius writing.

    I love how excited Nate is that it was "his play" that won them the game. The guy was just Manager for a Premier League team... where all the plays were his plays. But since Richmond is home and where his heart is, this one play means it all to him. This show is amazing!

    This had me cheering like I was watching a real match! Bravo to the entire film crew, writers, & actors who made this series a reality. One of the best sports tv shows of all time!

      Give a hats off to the body doubles who did the footy sequences, too! This season had amazing action sequences, they really took advantage of those guys having had three years to develop chemistry with each other, some of the best fake football shots I’ve ever seen. Really allowed the viewer to get into the heat of the moment with the characters on screen.

    I have seen lots of TV over my many years. From my favourite comedies like MASH, Cheers, Frasier, Taxi, Red Dwarf to shows of my childhood like Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet and later sci-fi classics like Star Trek and Space 1999. But I swear, I have never watched a show which has had such a profound impact on me like Ted Lasso. I have laughed and cried all through it. As soon as my wife and I watched the last episode, we started watching it again. A masterful piece of TV.

    I just love that Ted is the only coach to catch the offside player AND he ends up choosing the set piece (that, sure, Nate designed way back when) that wins them the game. Everyone grows over the course of the three seasons, including Ted becoming, against all odds, a pretty decent soccer coach.

    Amazing the number of callbacks in this one scene. The winning goal was a play that Nate gave to Ted in the 3rd episode of season one and back then Jamie hated the idea of being used as a decoy. Fast forward to this scene and not only does he relish the idea but mimics the exact movements and words that Ted used when he was trying to teach Jamie how to sell the fake. The sheer joy on Nate's face when he jumps into Ted's arms yelling "that's my play" is poetic.

      the part that many miss is Ted Crimm was there when they were running that play; outside of the players, Ted Crimm was the only other person who already knew what the play was, and he couldn't believe it when it was being called; go back and watch his reaction.

      The other thing worth mentioning is that Sam scored the winning goal against Rupert's team when Rupert would have put him back on defence "where he belongs". Just beautiful.

    You have to feel sorry for Colin a little. Up until this moment, any celebration that the team did they were able to hug and kiss their loved ones, he couldn't in public. For him to be able to let his guard down is a good moment. I couldn't imagine hiding a secret for most of your life and feeling ashamed of it.

    In episode 6, Collin says to Trent all he wants is to be able to "kiss his fella the same way the other guys get to kiss their ladies after a win." In episode 12 he gets to! So beautiful.

    When zorro comes out the box to stop the ball he loses his goalie position and number 13 Jan Maas becomes the goalie, so all attackers have to be behind number 5 Isaac McaAdoo in order to be onside, very rare and forgotten rule because no one expects a keeper to come out far, that is why bread and roy didnt think it was offsides and the only person that knew was Ted someone who didnt even know how offsides worked, small beautiful detail by the writers, i seen this rule once Henry Kane’s goal against Chelsea and people were in disbelief

      youve actually overcomplicated , theres a simple way to put this , theres gotta be 2 players between the player receiving the ball and the goal line , which are in 99.9% of cases the last defender and the goal keeper.

    So when Colin got to kiss his man during the celebration is when I actually cried a little. In fact, I’m still getting a little misty eyed thinking about it 🥲 I’m really lucky I’ve got my forever guy too and that’s what got me a little emotional. This was an amazing ending! And I was on the edge of my seat during the last moments of the game! It was so exciting for being totally fake with actors 🤣

      Those two are sooo cute. I cried too. It's so rare to see a production not shy away from gay characters just existing and being the same as everyone else. Usually a kiss is background if it's gay. It was such a good moment.

    Such a great series and ending episode. Loved all of the tip of the caps to tied up story lines. Wanker, Jaime being an ultimate team player, Sam being happy/connected, Coach and Nate...I even love the normalizing of Colin's relationship. Hoping for more.

    The last play of the season was Nate's very first play from Season 1. The first time they ran it in practice Jamie had a hissy fit because he wasn't the one to get the goal.

    I really love Nate's excitement that Ted used his play at the end. That was pure Nate the Kit Man coming out, no sign of Coach Nathan Shelley to be seen. He was just purely excited that his play won the most important game of their careers so far, regardless of who got credit for using it.

    A nice little detail when Ted points out West Ham's goal was offside before anyone else did. At the beginning of the show he needed explaining to but now he knows better than Beard and Roy. Love this show.

    Finally finished all episodes after a binge yesterday.
    I thought the end of the match was too perfect- and that fade out to find out what happened at the Etihad made me all but confirm City had won the Prem
    And who cares? They certainly didn’t- the unbridled joy of winning the match was beautiful
    But then again I lost it when at halftime they started to piece the Believe sign. Yeah I was blabbing 😢

    I feel so robbed by Richmond not winning the league. Like I get the message is not about winning and losing and trying your best and letting whatever happens happen. But I still feel like Ted, the team, the fans and Richmond as a whole deserved to win.

      Before they mastered Total Football, they'd stacked up a lot of losses; making a legitimate run at the title was an achievement to be proud of. And, besides, if the show continues, they still have worlds left to conquer.

    I love this! For one, I was so excited to see Richmond win. I know it’s a fictional team and it was pretty much a given they would win I was on the edge of my seat the entire time and cheered like crazy when they won. (Hey Maple Leafs, take some pointers from Ted Lasso 😂) For another I cried when Nate jumped in Ted’s arms , beaming, “you used my play!” A beautiful moment between Nate and Ted. And Colin finally able to kiss the person he loves after a victory like he always wanted to do was the cherry on top. Just beautiful!

    The "ESPY" reminds me of the "Philly Special" when you break it down. Ted was an american football head coach and may have been inspired by the play.

      @@rvog6584 It's further away from the line than the west ham player though? The shadow shows that the player was not on the line and Zorro's arm is clearly infront of the player meaning it's definitely not near the line.
      Although there definitely is a continuity error as Zorro is then seen closer to the line and in a different position when zoomed in so in another alternate universe I'm sure it was lol.

    I'm also enjoying at 2:14, when they start the espys play (as it were), and you can see the ref looking to where Sam's gonna kick the ball... and then looking back when the ball doesn't go there.

      As a ref, u try 2 anticipate ... but it doesnt always unfold that way which is y u always jus watch closely and only make a call once an act occurs ...
