  • Welcome to Cyberpunk 2077's Night City! Come sailing with Kerry Eurodyne as the sun sets over the ocean while Kerry plays guitar and occasionally sings along. This video features an extended loop of Kerry's yacht song, in which I've cut together both solo guitar and Kerry's singing to create a more natural, immersive experience.

V in this scene is just listening, he/she knows they don’t have much time left, their journey is ending soon one way or another, and they don’t know if they’ll make it to tomorrow. A million different emotions must be playing in their head, and they must be scared of what tomorrow might bring. This is the last moment of peace before the storm.
Kerry is reminiscing and grieving inside, he never got over Johnny’s death properly despite his personal success, now Johnny had briefly re-entered his life, this caused a brief spiral of chaos in Kerry but now he finally has a chance to truly get some closure on that part of his life and finally move on after decades of stagnation.
And Johnny gets a glimpse of what his life could have been had he stopped his crusade against Arasaka and paid attention to the people in his life he had neglected. He could have had something with Rogue, he could’ve had a much more positive relationship with Kerry who looked up to him. I feel like Johnny had a lot of associates…but no real friends, and that’s his fault not theirs because he couldn’t invest himself in them emotionally when all he saw was Arasaka. Now he’s reflecting on his regrets about the people he left behind, and wondering if things could have been different while listening to Kerry play and watching the sky.

This was my most memorable moment in the whole game for me. I love Kerry's story and this was the best way to wrap it up. You see that he has some closure with the loss of Johnny, coming over the corpo music industry by literally stealing his label owner's yacht, and relishing the newly bonded friendship/romance he has with V. This moment had me reflect on all of my decisions throughout the game and knowing it was coming to an end soon, I was happy with my decisions. This simple scene has been one of the most impactful things, I've personally ever seen in a game. I discovered this specific video of yours , when I was in a very bad mental place. I've just gotten a call from a clinic, that I'd had to pack my bags and be admitted to a psychiatric ward the next day. I suffered from depression, severe anxiety and suicidal thoughts. I still do. But when I found this song, while having a major panic attack, it was somehow able to calm me down. I felt a connection to the song and the mysterious man with the white hair and the kind voice. I listened to it throughout the whole night, because it somehow managed to keep me calm. And when I woke up the next day, I decided that I would get this game as a treat when I would just press through this and finally get home from the clinic. I looked more into it. I found The Rebel Path and other tracks. Songs I would listen to when I would use my free time in the clinic to jog or just take walks. I was so excited when my treatment was over and I went home feeling better and more able to deal with all this shit in my head.
I sat down and played it. I fell in love with the story, soundtrack and the characters.
And, of course, with Kerry. Especially Kerry. Because he was basically the walking representation of what I'm dealing with. And, just like me, he kept on fighting. He got his ass up and tried doing something for a change, instead of doing nothing and wondering, why nothing ever gets better. Just like I had to do and how I'll continue to do. This song is a sign of his growth. It's his way to show that he's finally able to let go and leave the things that hurt him behind. To just finally look into the future, not just back.
Those are things, that I had to learn. Things, that I'll continue to learn. The fact that I discovered this song, one day before the clinic is somehow beautiful.
Many people tend to overlook Kerry and think that he's just boring or even whiny. For me, he's a man who had to fight his whole life. Not against Arasaka or the system or whatever.
    Just his own head.
And to people like me, those are the scariest monsters you can fight and I'm so happy to see this kind of representation in a game like this. To many Kerry might just be some whiny washed up rockstar and this song is just a song. To me, it's a sign that things get better and will continue to get better, if you don't give up. I adore Kerry with my whole heart and I'm so happy that I found this video on that day.

Yes every game literally every game out there has flaws yes this game happens to have more than others. But I'm willing to put aside my negative view point and look at what was beautiful. And moments like sitting by the camp fire, talking to a monk that shows you serenity, guitarist sitting on the side of the streets, nights times walking inside and out night city was what made me loved the game. I appreciate all the hard work that had been put into each game developers and wish everyone could just look at the positive side of things more. Especially with what is going around the world we really don't need anymore sadness/hate.

Years later and this moment still hits. Although understandably the game got some hate, I always felt like the side characters and missions were flawless. It felt like a lot of love and care went into each side/ minor character and their stories. Maybe it was because there were less corporate eyes and hands on the "lesser" side items that allowed them to slow down and really make something special. It makes me sad that it was all overshadowed by other issues for a while. To the devs that put in all the hard work on these side characters, we see you, well done.

This is a very special video for me, trigger warning:
A couple years ago after the pandemic hit, I was feeling very very depressed. It was either late 2020 or early 2021. There was a complete lockdown and curfew between 9pm-4am and I just got massively lied to by a girl who previously told me she liked me. The situation was awful and I was devastated by everything that happened and literally felt like there was no way out.
I didn't play Cyberpunk on release but I did come across this video for some reason. My brain was racing all over the place but I simply listened to this video on repeat for like two weeks straight. The audio and atmosphere of this video is what allowed me to temporarily escape my situation and calm down. All I did was put this video on and look at it or close my eyes and listen to it. In the beginning all I could do is cry. But after a while I started to see this in a new light and used it to process everything in a more healthy way and it slowly made me feel better.
It's such a simple melody but you added all the right parts together perfectly. The guitar, Kerry's occasional singing, the wind, the whirring of the boat, the sounds of the ocean. I truly felt somewhere else and I still get watery eyes when listening to it for long periods of time. This video provided me with the lessons and experience no one can put a price on.
I genuinely wanted to end my life but this video played a major part in finding peace. Honestly thank you for this upload. All I can do is share my story and like the video. Much love

      @DJSpike-ft9yw Před 2 lety

Because the characters are emotional too. Music brings emotions and feels out of us more than almost everything.
Now he’s reflecting on his regrets, and wondering if things could have been different while listening to Kerry play and watching the sky.

It's moments like this, along the lines of "just sitting at Quark's bar talking to Morn" that games and TV shows rush right past and it's so important to the show's or game's development.

You know what's beautiful about Cyberpunk? From this perspective, and from each moment due to each character's --- everybody is their own protagonist.. and within their own shadow; they have their own light. Johnny being the ghost of his own past, seeing the effects of his own seminal actions in '23. And because of that, the entire tapestry shows itself as one giant fuck-up --- but a damn worthwhile one... one where some may say; "Why live at all?" "Because it was worth it --- all of it, and you know what was that elusive joy and golden happiness we were searching for this whole time? This. If this is life, than I say; 'Really? Once again!" --- And that if this is the world I was born in, then I will make it so that I am born *for* it, and not just sit idly by and let the world pass by. "What one cannot love --- one must pass by!" But what one can will for, one must always take it by the heels and fly with it. And that is life.

Gave this game a shot on the PS4 at launch - disastrous.
Just got my PS5, downloaded this immediately 4 days ago, 45 hours in and just now I've finished two endings, using Rogue and then switching between letting Johnny take over or letting V live her life out.
Red Dead Redemption 2 was the only game I ever cried for at the end, other than this, seeing V's body in Johnny's hands, staring out the bus window heading out of NC, seeing Johnny pay his final respects to V and Johnny, seeing those messages from Judy and everyone worried about where we are, what a damn beauty.
This game is amazing, now it is atleast, and Kerry was my favourite storyline even though I didn't romance him.
Got alot of playtime to go through, so it isn't goodbye just yet, Samurai.

This moment is by far my favorite from the entire game. The whole sequence hits a little too close to home for me and it's all about setting your past aside to look forward towards a brighter future. Knowing you've lost some of your closest friends and you haven't been the best human in the world, but regardless you need to press on despite those things. It's never too late to change your life and live again. Although there's no lyrics, all I hear is "It's been a great ride and I miss what once used to be, but for your sake I'll do better, I promise you my friend." Also, Johnny just lying there while he plays ties it all together. Something like "I hear what you're trying to convey and although I'm gone, I'll always be watching over you."

I will forever adore this game, it truly has been one of the best games I’ve played and it debunks all the issues with it, it’s easy to overlook and not mind them when you come across scenes like this that make you wanna keep playing even more. They did a great job with scenery and atmospheres in this game. Every single character had so much impact on me, I hope they work on this game even more and release more things in the future.

hopefully, i bought this game at launch and i've been through the worst of it, it's amazing right now and needs DLC's and more work, i've never binged a game so much before, it's graphically the most beautiful game i've played, especially with Ray Tracing, the amount of emotions this game made me feel and mould me into a different person was awesome, I felt a bit of Jackie's soul living in me every day

I think I know now why I enjoyed 77 as much as I did. Gameplay was cool, and the story was amazing... but I went in knowing nothing other than the memes. I didn't know they made so many promises and different things that just never made it into the game. If I had followed the 77 hype train like the rest, it might've left a worse aftertaste in my mouth. But I'm glad I didn't! I really went in expecting nothing, and I came out with mountains of gold.

What I love about this is that it proves that we are still capable of being human no matter how much technology tries to suck the humanity out of us.
I feel like that’s what this song is about. Kerry coming to terms with the fact that humanity as a is doomed to fail in the world of Cyberpunk, but finding piece in knowing it’s ultimately for the best at that point.
