You have done an atrocious thing.
The heavens almost rupture therefrom and the earth splits open and the mountains collapse in devastation
That they attribute to the Most Merciful a son.
And it is not appropriate for the Most Merciful that He should take a son.
There is no one in the heavens and earth but that he comes to the Most Merciful as a servant.
He has enumerated them and counted them a [full] counting.
And all of them are coming to Him on the Day of Resurrection alone.

I think one damning criticism of the idea of Jesus(AS) dying on the cross is that in the Old Testament, the penalty of being "hung (or stuck) unto a tree" is said to be a sign of "being accursed by God" (Deuteronomy 21:23). Now, why would God give as a sign to the jews a death that according to revelation from prophet Moses(AS) shows that the criminal has been abandoned by God? Sure, the messiah would suffer, but not to the point of dying a humiliating death.

With regard to what you read of what Jesus says about Mosaic law 10 minutes in, I suppose a Christians could point out the 'until all is accomplished' part and then point to the fact Jesus is reputed to have said on the cross 'it is accomplished'. To be fair, the Gospel of Matthew in question doesn't claim Jesus says this and this counter argument is more a thing of Christian hermeneutics.
I do think Muslim apologists are a bit too harsh on Paul. Paul was writing earlier and does not seem to think Jesus was a literal son of God as Matthew and Luke do, to say nothing of John portraying him as even more than that.

Please read 2 Peter 3:15-16 . Now understand what justify means ! This happen if you break the laws of the Father ; this recovery you from sin ( 1 John 3:4 ) . There are two types of laws for justification or atonement of sin . 1. law of animal sacrifice and oblations through works , and 2. Law of faith ; blood of Jesus Christ through faith . The first was for the flesh/body , and the second is for the heart/spirit . The first is not of faith ; which could not redemm you from the sins of the heart/spirit ; which God requires , but kept God from killing your flesh/body , hoping that you would rethink yourself and repent by faith before you die , or you die in your sins . The second is of faith ; which means that you must repent of your sins , like king David did ( Psalm 32 & 51 ) , and believe your mediator Jesus Christ commandments ; which he received from the Father ( Deuteronomy 18:15-19 ) . The laws , commandments, instructions of the Fathers ; which includes all covenants , is what put you in sin , if you do not keep them , but to recovery you , or atone you from sin requires a sin sacrifice , under a priesthood ( Leviticus , the priesthood of works , and Melchisedec , the priesthood of faith ) . Please read Paul's writing again , and when you see words like circumcision , understand that there are three types of circumcisions : 1. Circumcision of the foreskin , the everlasting covenant through Abraham , 2. Circumcision of the flesh for SIN , the law of animal sacrifice through the mediator Moses , and 3. Circumcision of the heart for SIN , the blood of the mediator Jesus Christ through faith . When you see word like flesh , works , faith , law , etc... ; we must put them in the proper context of the discussion or writings of the apostles , especially Paul . Works in Ephesians 2:9 is for atonement ; which would be the law of animal sacrifice ; while works in Ephesians 2:10 . 2 Timothy 3:17 , are the laws/commandments/instructions of the Father ; which get's you eternal life ( Matthew 19:16-17 ) . In Paul's writings , flesh , many time means the law of animal sacrifice ; which cleans the body ; if he is using spirit as the counter to flesh ( Romans 8 ) ; Romans 6:14 ,the law is the law of animal sacrifice or blood of the animals , and the grace is the blood of Jesus Christ . How do we have faith ( Romans 10:17 ) . Acts 15 :1 , circumcision as the manner of Moses to be saved , this is a sin atonement sacrifice ; which through Moses was the law of animal sacrifice . There are many other examples I can show you ( Romans 3:19-20 , Galatians 3:10-14 ( Remember Abraham was never under the law of animal sacrifice for the atonement of sin ) , etc... ) . Hope this help ? Shalom !

" scholars agree that the gospels are nothing more than stories made by early xians"
Even skeptical scholars still believe in the historicity of key events in the gospels, like Jesus' crucifixion and his baptism by John. On the other hand, they believe the Qur'anic stories about Jesus, like him talking as a new-born and making living birds from clay, are fictional, historically-later stories by Gnostics/heterodox Christians.
      "who are not eyewitnesses"
You do know the Qur'an wasn't written by eye witnesses to Jesus' life right? And before you reply with that tired retort, 'The Qur'an was written by God, tho', secular scholars do not believe this claim or think it lends any credence to a textual account. E.g., 1 Thessalonians was written about 20 years after Jesus's death, claims to be the word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and also claims that Jesus died and was resurrected. But does that make you or scholarship believe it?
      "deliberate forgeries"
You understand that secular scholarship would regard Qur'anic attributions to people like Jesus, Moses, etc. as equally forged, right?
The problem with you, and many others, is that you regurgitate secular scholarship's criticisms of the New Testament without realizing that the assumptions of those scholars are completely different from yours and that they're just as undermining of Islam as Christianity.

The crucifixion was not necessary for a person to come to God until Yahweh divorced the upper 10 tribes also known as the House of Israel. The Law says a man can’t take a wife back after he divorces her as long as he lives. After the divorce they became known as the lost sheep of the House of Israel. Christ said He came only for the lost sheep of the house of Israel. They were divorced and could not come back. When He died it broke that curse so He could take them back. Unlike us who stay dead He rose from the dead to reunite with those who had been divorced.
Abraham Isaac and Jacob didn’t need the cross. People throughout the Old Testament just repented and came back. Those who were divorced could not come back regardless, until His death on the cross.

Blogging Theology , have you question why Peter said that some of the writings of Paul , are hard to be understood in 2 Peter 3:15-16 ? In Romans and Galatians , Paul is talking about two types of laws ; the laws of atonement through the two mediators ( Moses and Jesus Christ ) ; which are the 1. Law of animal sacrifice and oblations through works , under the priesthood of Leviticus , and 2. The law of faith ; blood of Jesus Christ through faith , under the priesthood of Melchisedec . To be justified , means to be atoned from sin ; the laws of God ( commandments , laws , instructions ; which inludes all covenants ) , is what put you in sin if you do not keep them ; but to recovery you , or redeem you requires a sin sacrifice of atonement . There are many words used in the bible , that may have a different meaning , that you think ( flesh, circumcision , works , faith, believe ) . The apostle Paul was a follower of Jesus Christ , and he obeyed the laws of the Father ; which Jesus came to give you ( Deuteronomy 18:15-19 ) . Please take time and read this : Just because people put scriptures as what we call the old testament , and gospel as the new testament ; they are the same ; the words of The Most High God , the Father ( Hebrews 1:1-3 ; Hebrews 4:1-2 ) . People error because they are not equipped with the one thing that God say we must have , FAITH . People think that when Jesus came through the flesh ; died and was resurrected ; appeared before the Father for our sin s ; that the forgiveness for sin started at that point ; but they are 100 % wrong . Question , Did Abraham , Isaac , Jacob , David , etc ....... live and die before Jesus Christ came in the flesh ? If the answer is yes , how were they justified from sin ? These men wll be in the kingdom of God . The apostle Paul stated in Romans 3:23 , " For all have sinned , and come short of the glory of God " ; So how can anyone before Jesus resurrection and appearing before the Father for our sins be justified ? In Romans 6:23 , " For the wages of sin is death ; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord " . Jesus is the atonement for our sins , but most people do not realize , that this represents TWO TYPE OF SINS ; the sin of the first death that Adam put ALL of us under , the grave ; which is the free gift , nothing is required , even if you do not believe in Jesus . By sinning against the laws of God , Adam condemned the entire creation back to the dust of the ground ; for all have sinned and come shot of the glory of God . By living a righteous life , unblemlish without sin , Jesus was not worthy to die as we are ; so he died not for himself , but for ALL who have transgressed the laws of the Father ; which is given to ALL who have ever lived ; that how he defeated death , by overcoming sin . By defeating sin ; which brings on death , now ALL will be resurrected from their first tabernacle ( body ) , and live forever in their second tabernacle ( body ) ; but can we dwell with the Father , if we die in our first tabernacle in sin ? 1 John 1:5-7 , " This then is the message which we have heard of him , and declare unto you , that God is light , and in him is no darkness at all . If we say that we have fellowship with him , and walk in darkness , we lie , and do not the truth : But if we walk in the light , we have fellowship one with another , and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from ALL SINS " . The free gift redeems you from the sins of the first death , the grave , but to dwell with the Father in his kingdom , something else is required . This is what Jesus Christ said , as he started his ministry in Mark 1:14-15 , " Now after that John was put in prison , Jesus came preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God , And saying , The time is fulfilled , and the kingdom of God is at hand :REPENT YE , AND BELIEVE THE GOSPEL " . The God of Israel has always required that you repent of your sins with a sorrowful heart ( like king David did in Psalm 32 & 51 ) ; and believe by obedience ; which means to start keeping his laws/commandments/instructions ; which includes all covenants ; that's how you have faith with him , by obedience . The gospel that Jesus taught are the same words that Moses & the prophets gave in the scriptures ( Hebrews 1:1-3 ) ; which are the words of the Father . Remember what Moses said to the children of Israel in Deuteronomy 18:15-19 , " The Lord thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee , of thy brethren , like unto me ; unto him ye shall hearken ; ACCORDING TO ALL THAT THOU DESIREDST OF THE LORD THY GOD IN HOREB IN THE DAY OF THE ASSEMBLY , SAYING , LET ME NOT HEAR AGAIN THE VOICE OF THE LORD MY GOD , NEITHER LET ME SEE THIS GREAT FIRE ANYMORE , THAT I DIE NOT . And the LORD said unto me , They have well spoken thatwhich they have spoken . I WILL RAISE THEM UP A PROPHET FROM AMONG THEIR BRETHREN , LIKE UNTO THEE , AND WILL PUT MY WORDS IN HIS MOUTH ; AND HE SHALL SPEAK UNTO THEM ALL THAT I SHALL COMMAND HIM . AND IT SHALL COME TO PASS , THAT WHOSOEVER WILL NOT HEARKEN UNTO MY WORDS WHICH HE SHALL SPEAK IN MY NAME , I WILL REQUIRE IT OF HIM " . Question , What did the children of Israel desire at Horeb or Mount Sinai ? Answer , the ten commandments that the God of Israel spoke to them ; and all of the other statutes and judgemets ; which includes the covenants , that they were afraid to hear from God , but would hear through Moses . Jesus Christ himself said that he came not to do his own will , but the will of the one who sent him . In John 12:44-50 , Jesus said that if you do not believe the words that he speak unto you , the same words will judge you on the last day ; which is the white throne judgement ; because he speak the words of the Father . The second sin that the blood of Jesus cleaneth you from requires repentance and faith ; which means to believe by obedience ; this redeems you from the second death ; which is the lake of fire . By redeeming you fromthe first death of the grave with the free gift , now your tabernacle , or body from heaven ( 1 Corinthians 15:35-38,42-51 ) is in danger of the lake of fire ; because you cannot dwell with the Father in darkness ( sin ) . Before the children of Israel were given the law of animal sacrifice for the first tabernacle or body , the God of Israel required all men to live by faith ( repenting of their sins with a sorrowful heart ( mind ) and start walking in the light ) ; Why does Proverbs24:16 say this : Proverbs 24:16 , " For a just man falleth seven times , and riseth up again : but the wicked shall fall into mischief " ? Answer , if a just man falleth seven times , then he is redeemed seven times by repenting and believing like king David ; remember this was long before Jesus came in the flesh . For the atonement of sin , it requires a sacrifice ; a sacrifice through a priesthood . What priesthood was around at the time of Abraham ? Answer , The priesthood of Melchisedec . How was Melchisedec identified in Hebrews 7 ? ( King of Righteousness , King of Salem , King of peace , without father , without mother , without descent , having neither beginning of days , nor end of life ; but made like unto the Son of God ; abideth a priest continually ) . Now , who does this look like ? ( Micah 5:1-2 , Luke 1:26-33 , Romans 10:4 , Romans 1:1-4 ) . Remember the Word created the heavens and the earth , and all things that is ; and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us . What did Jesus say in John 5:37 ? ( John 5:37 , " And the Father himself , which hath sent me , hath borne witness of me . Ye have neither heard his voice at any time , nor seen his shape " ) ; which means that the one most call Yahweh , or Jehovah , or I AM , or God Almighty , or The God of Abraham , Isaac , and Jacob , and Melchisedec ; is none other then the one who came in the Father's name in John 5:43 . The one we call Jesus Christ created us , and has been interceding for us as high priest from the beginning of the creation ( Melchisedec at the time of Abraham ) , until it is completed ( Jesus Christ now ) ; which is the white throne judgement . The apostle Paul explains this ( Romans 5:13-14 , " For until the law sin was in the world : but sin is not imputed when there is no law . Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses , even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression , who is the figure of him that was to come " ) . What is sin ? Answer , the transgression of the law of God ( 1 John3:4 ) . Paul stated that until the law ( what law ? ) , sin ; which is the transgression of the law of God was in the world , but sin ; which is the transgression of the law of God is not imputed ( represents something undersirable as been done , caused , or possesed by someone ) when there is no law . This law is not the commandments/instructions of God ; which includes all the covenants , but a sin sacrifice law that came at the time of Moses ; the law of animal sacrifice of works ; which was not of faith ( Romans 3:27-28 ) . Once you fell under this law , which was written in the book of the law of the priesthood , under the mediator Moses ( Leviticus ) ; it had to be carried out , just as it is written ; no grace or mercy . When the children of Israel went into a covenant with the Father in the wilderness , all their sins were forgiven ; the only thing that they waited on was the promise to redeem ALL MEN from the sins of the first death , the grave . When the children of Israel begin to break the laws of the Father and not repent by faith ; he gave to them , through their mediator Moses , the law of animal sacrifice for the body , of the earthly tabernacle ; to keep from killing their flesh , hoping that their would rethink themselves and repent by faith , before they die ; or they would die in their sins . Shalom !

Bart Ehrman happened to become well known for his academic books on bible sources but many bible experts have acknowledged that the bible is not 100% as the verbatim words in Aramaic as spoken by Prophet Jesus ( peace be upon him). In fact if you read books written by academics especially christian academics - they will point out the errors, mistranslations, forgeries and unknown author and the lack of presrrvation and chronology. If however you choose to belief thst the bible you read is 100% exactly as what Jesus ( pbuh) spoke to his disciples - thats up to you. @@T-19- Ignatius (A.D. c. 50-115), bishop of Antioch, was a native of Syria and student of the apostle John is reported to have “been thrown to the wild beasts in the colosseum at Rome.” His epistles were written during his journey from Antioch to the place of his martyrdom. At that time he would have undoubtedly been sober of mind. He says of Jesus:
“He was crucified and died under Pontius Pilate. He really, and not merely in appearance, was crucified, and died, in the sight of beings in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth.
He rose again in three days…

Ignatius of Antioch was adamant that Christ had really died, and really risen from the dead. His testimony supports what what we read in the New Testament.

I have never ever seen a demon that was driven out by ANY OTHER NAME but Jesus and definitely not by any other religion but in Christ. No other faith can do it and if you know of such a case please let me know. Never has it been done. I have seen some try and get beaten to pieces by these demons because as Jesus said. One kingdom cannot come against itself meaning His Father's kingdom and His were the same when He was accused of doing what He was doing with Satanic power. That is the oneness of God and Jesus. The Kingdom of God is the Kingdom that Jesus will one day rule the earth with. God will never leave His throne in His Heaven where He rules over His angels. Christ was a human when He was on earth. You and Bart do not understand why what Jesus said and Paul said is different from each other. First of all Jesus was talking to Jews who received the Law and the Commandments, so Jesus preached the kingdom of God coming to a human, to himself, and the necessity to listen to his words and believe in that message which was supported with powerful healings etc. The Jews had the Law so they were supposed to keep it and this is what Jesus commanded. However, Paul had a different take since Jesus had been murdered and resurrected. God used this crime to reconcile mankind to himself so those Jews who rejected Jesus they had to repent from that rejection and accept him as the Messiah in order to receive the Spirit and be reconciled to the Father. So, the implementation of that gospel came after Jesus died and resurrected since this had to happen, so there is no conflict between Jesus and Paul, they both did their parts to complete the gospel message.

Why did he have to die, and how did his suffering, death and resurrection lead to reconciliation.
I understand the New Testament says, "without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins." and also he is the "lamb" of God.
But I don't understand even though I do think the New Testament is true. I don't understand why he had to suffer and die and rise, and I don't understand how that led to humanities reconciliation in Pauls mind, unless it's as simple as sin = death but the Messiah has the authority to just take the punishment and now we're okay. But is it more nuanced than that?
      It's exhausting not knowing.

@@youngknowledgeseeker Well, lets see how can I answer all those questions. When Adam sinned, he contaminated his nature with desires that are not from God, and since everyone comes from that couple, they passed that corrupt nature to all of us, so we are born with a sinful nature. James explains how those desires lead us to break God's Laws. Jesus was the only human not born with that nature and never sinned, he received the Spirit of God at the baptism of John. The Jews persecuted and put him to death because he said he was the son of God, but God used his death as a means to rescue us from the power of Satan. The Law of God condemned us of sin and we could not do anything about it because of our sinful nature, Jesus died to realease us from the Law of Moses and transfer us to the Law of the Spirit of God which is Love. By believing in that death, we accept our guilt before God, and God can forgive us and consider us righteous, and send us his Spirit which will give us a new life and a new spirit in us. We are no longer under the Law of Moses or condenmed by it. God will start to work in us to transform us to have the character of Jesus and we will be resurrected immortal at his coming or be transformed if his appearing is in our lifetime. There are wonderful things promised to those who turn to Jesus in faith and respond to the gospel. I hope this helps.

@fcastellanos57 are you sure the Bible 100% teaches sin nature inherited from Adam, original sin so to speak. That Romans 5 really teaches that? Also how does God use Jesus death? And what's the point of the Hebrews author using Jesus as an example for us not to sin if he had no sin nature unlike us then? That's not an example for me for I am fundamentally different.
What strikes me as odd is that God would ever get mad at any human being after Adam if there was a sin nature. Sin wouldn't even be our fault then.

He gives us a new Spirit which will change us from inside out and prepare us for the Kingdom of His Father which is coming to the world. This video confuses laws written to the jews with Paul’s instructions to the Gentiles as well as the cause and effect of faith vs works while disregarding Jesus’ explanation of the encounter with the rich young ruler.
There was a council in Acts that worked that out. Gentiles only have to keep 4 laws that applied to sojourners as well as Jews. According to Paul, faith in Jesus leads to your nature being changed and God’s spirit dwelling in you that leads to spiritual growth which culminates perfect obedience and admission into an eternal kingdom.
God using something that is an abomination for good is not foreign to the Bible. Read Genesis 50 when Joseph tells his brothers who sold him into slavery “what you meant for evil, God meant for good.”
The Bible consistently says that man can’t keep the law and is in need of grace, forgiveness, redemption, a heart change, and a new spirit that only God can provide through the work of Jesus. Christians believe they are saved by belief in Jesus and are given the Holy Spirit to provide continuous spiritual growth leading to obedience.
James says that if you are guilty on one point, you are guilty of the whole law. Jeremiah says that not one is righteous, not one, and the heart is desperately sick. I am not aware of the Bible stating it is easy to follow the law as the creator of the video states.
Jesus told the rich man to sell all his stuff and give to the poor to show that he cannot earn the kingdom by keeping the law because he has an idol before God. Someone who takes their identity in their status or performance cannot get themselves into the kingdom anymore than a camel can fit through the eye of a needle. It is only possible by an act of God, not man.

  • @stratogustav
    @stratogustav Před 11 měsíci

    This is easy to explain:
    1. The Bible is incomplete. It only has the greatest hits, it isn't the full discography.
    2. Those hits have clearly been edited, meaning they are missing key parts, like the relationship between Jesus and Mary Magdalene for example.
    3. You definitely nailed it with Paul's view of the Gospel. When it comes to Paul's message's standing, it always felt there was a lack of balance, as if one leg holding his message was broken or missing.
    4. In terms of Matthew however there is misinterpretation here. Because the phrase you need to be better than the pharisees already contradicts that he is proposing good deeds as the answer of salvation. Instead, it is clear he is talking about love, that loving your neighbor alone is above any actions you take. Good deeds alone aren't enough because the pharisees do that, they also follow the law, but they don't do it out of love, they do it to show off and because of protocol.
    5. Love is a verb and it can be manifested in flesh, however it is not an action or knowledge, it us something you are, which is Jesus main message.
    6. Jesus main message is that he is God, he said repeatedly that he was God when he said that he and his Father were one and the same, and he asked us to be like our F 0:04 ather that is in heaven, and the only way to be like our Father that is in heaven is to be perfect, meaning to be, not to do, not to say, or to know, to be love.
    7. To be love is to be all giving and without judgement, like the Sun and the rain, that gives without receiving, and gies it to all.
    8. Therefore Jesus is saying that not only he is God, we are all gods, made based on God's image, and with the same capabilities of being perfect by becoming love in the flesh.
    9. You don't need salvation if you are already god because you also are god.
    10. Our purpose on this Earth is then to bring God among us by being like him, perfect, all giving without judgement.

The “Law” is totally fulfilled by loving God and loving your neighbor. Paul was illustrating the difference in thinking between Jews and gentiles. A more accurate summation of the “faith alone” message is that we are saved by grace. We certainly don’t deserve salvation through any of our works, but loving God and loving our neighbor manifests in our following commands such as in Matthew 25.
