Quran confirms the bible/torah & psalms is the inspired revelation and word of God (of the quran) & that of its accuracy, preservation and truth.
Quran 21:105 Sahih International: And We have already written in the book [of Psalms] after the [previous] mention that the land [of Paradise] is inherited by My righteous servants.
This is Psalm 37:29 which David wrote. Quran confirms divine inspiration
Psalm 37:29 - The righteous will inherit the earth and dwell in it forever
Quran 3:3-4 -He [Allah] has revealed to you the Book with truth, verifying that which is before it, and He revealed the Torah and the Gospel aforetime, a guidance for mankind, and He revealed the Criterion.
Quran 35:31- And that which We have revealed to you of the Book, that is the truth verifying that which is bayna yadayhi (between his hands = contemporary to his time @arab idiom)
Quran 46:30 -They said “O Our people!.Verily. We have heard a Book [the Quran] sent down after Moses, verifying what is bayna yadayhi (between his hands =contemporary to his time@ arab idiom)“
This is Affirming the biblical texts that were coexistent with the Quran, available at that time of Mohammed were true.
Quran 3:50 - Sahih International: And [I have come] confirming what was before me of the Torah and to make lawful for you some of what was forbidden to you. And I have come to you with a sign from your Lord, so fear Allah and obey me.
Quran 5:46 - Sahih International: And We sent, following in their footsteps, Jesus, the son of Mary, confirming that which came before him in the Torah; and We gave him the Gospel, in which was guidance and light and confirming that which preceded it of the Torah as guidance and instruction for the righteous.
Quran 61:6 - Sahih International: And [mention] when Jesus, the son of Mary, said, "O children of Israel, indeed I am the messenger of Allah to you confirming what came before me of the Torah and bringing good tidings of a messenger to come after me, whose name is Ahmad." But when he came to them with clear evidences, they said, "This is obvious magic."
Luke 24:44- He said to them, “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the law of Moses and in the prophets and psalms must be fulfilled.
Dead sea scrolls etc prove the bible/torah was not altered. Quran affirms the accuracy & preservation of the Torah, psalms and gospel.

This is why one of the names Allah calls the Qur'an in the Qur'an is Al Furqan, The Criterion, which means it is the Book by which the previous scriptures are to be judged: whatever agrees with it from the previous scriptures is to be accepted and whatever disagrees with it from the previous scriptures is to be rejected.

That Verse about the corner stone that the builders have rejected is not speaking of Jesus. It is speaking about Muhammad SAwS. Look at it more carefully.
      Mat 21:42
Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures:
‘The stone which the builders rejected
      Has become the chief cornerstone.
      This was the LORD’s doing,
And it is marvelous in our eyes’ ?
Mat 21:43 “Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it.
      The only stone that is in existence today is the "BLACK STONE" of the Kaaba. And the "nation" that is spoken of is initially the Arabs and the MUSLIMS. And "HE" that is spoken of is the Prophet Muhammad SAwS, as in the Verse in the Scripture that Jesus Mentions, below;
      Psa 118:26
Blessed be HE that cometh in the name of the LORD: we have blessed you OUT of the HOUSE of the LORD.
And the "HOUSE" mentioned in this Verse is the HOUSE of the LORD/GOD which is the Kaaba in MECCA.
      Peace and Salam

First the Jews did NOT reject Jesus in the beginning. Only the Religious leaders i.e. Scribes and Pharisees and Those in Charge rejected because they did not want anything bad to happen to the people. Remember that there were "THOUSANDS" that followed him.

Do you Believe that a MAN can be GOD? Let me answer for you. I think You will say No, EXCEPT Jesus! Jesus was the ONLY man who is GOD! Do you see that Jews do NOT have ANY EXCEPTIONS! Neither do Muslims!

tony G I agree with you here.
In my opinion, from reading the N.T, Jesus never said he was God but that he was sent by God. Jesus speaks of being (one) with the Father in spiritual unity.
For example, in John 17: 21 Jesus says
“that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”
Here I believe that Jesus is talking about spiritual unity between him and the Father just as we as believers are one in spiritual unity with one another. He doesn’t mean that as believers we are one in number that wouldn’t make sense he means we are whole, in spiritual unity with each other just as Jesus and God are in spiritual unity.
He clearly gives two examples here of himself the saviour, and God the creator, and then us as believers.
      John 10:36
“...why do you call it blasphemy when I say, ‘I am the Son of God’? After all, the Father set me apart and sent me into the world.
Again here Jesus clearly distinguishes himself separate from the Father and explains he is the son of God having been sent by God in to the world.
      The hour unknown
But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the son, but the Father. (Mark 13:32)
Here again Jesus is clearly explaining that it is only God the Father alone and not Jesus the son or the angels in Heaven that know the hour or day.
Mark 10:18, NIV: "Why do you call me good?' Jesus answered. 'No one is good--except God alone."
Here Jesus responds to a person calling him, ‘good.’ Jesus clearly says that none is good except God alone and questions why the person would call him so.
Jesus also follows the Laws of God.
Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill. Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest part or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place.” (Matthew 5:17)
I feel that Jesus’s message was to ‘preach the good news of the Kingdom of Heaven’ and to draw believers in to salvation by following God’s commandments. He was sent by God as a prophet and Messiah and submitted himself to God throughout his ministry like all the other prophets

      To @Jomy Mathew
This is another one of the Qurans refutations of the Bible. The two fingers are an allegory to the ability that satan has. If I may explain. God/Allah AwJ has given Satan the time to try and deter people from the worship of God/Allah. But the only ability Satan has is INDIRECTLY. So Satan tries to tempt people on the wrong path by whispering, tempting and shall we say nudging and guiding them in a sense with his two fingers rather than being able to GRASP someone and FORCE them to do His Evil.
      But the Bible Claims that the Spirit DROVE Jesus to the wilderness and TEMPTED Him. Now it doesn't say whether this Spirit was the Holy Spirit or the Spirit of a Devil ;
      Luk 4:33
And in the synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil,
Now the Bible insinuates that Jesus WAS TEMPTED by Satan and the QURAN is specifically denying these Scriptures!
      Mar 1:12
And immediately the Spirit DRIVETH him into the wilderness.
Mar 1:13 And he was there in the wilderness forty days, TEMPTED of Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him.
So take your pick which one would you rather Believe. In the Bible that Says Jesus your GOD was "DRIVEN" by the Devil against his WILL. OR the Quran which says that the Devil was NOT able to manipulate Jesus at ALL!

Quran endorse and accept the Injeel ( bible original scripts ) revealed to Jesus and Torah in its original scripts revealed to Moses as word of God ( holy books )... which was in its original language Hibru/Aramic language and not the translated or edited copies which came later ( man made bible or torah )
as the current bible which is rewritten by Paul or Roman, Mathews and John and others, and these people have added many things and took away things from the original bible ( they added lies in to the original Ijneel ( bible ) and translated to many languages with their own word which means its not word of God any more.. comparing that to Quran.. Quran still in the same Arabic language as its being revealed to prophet Mohamed (PBUH) and all Muslims around the world learn Arabic to read it and learn it,,
Quran translated copies are just translation or ( Tafseer ) and NOT considered holy book ( because its not in the original language Arabic ) and translated copies could have different thoughts of different translators. The translated copies is just for illustration purpose for those new converters and those want to learn basics, but at end of the day every Muslim should learn basic Arabic at least to read and understand Quran in its original language Arabic.
Quran has replaced all other previous revelations and Quran is the base we use to find out which part of Injeel ( bible ) or Torah is correct and which art is fabricated and added by humans.
NOW how do you guarantee that a translated version of a holy book was not edited with fabrications or someone played with its words, HOW can you guarantee no one could have miss interpreted the original meaning in the original bible that was in Hibru/Aramic language OR missed out something in bible while it was written and translated to copies?
And if you read history you will see how these Pops in Europe dark era were so corrupted and enjoyed so much power and influence over Europe kings and leaders as well as the illiterate public who were submissive to churches under the fear of being punished by God if they disobey pops. AND thus they ( pops ) most likely easily edit and changed and miss translate or interpret Bible to others in order to put everyone under their control.
The Injeel ( you call it bible ) Allah never said he will keep it safe, because when Islam and Quran comes it will replace Injeel ( bible ), Taurah and others, that’s why Injeel (bible) was not distant to be kept safe by God and thus its original form ( Aramic / Hibru ) was destroyed or disappeared and non memorised it, and thus its translation came to you guys after it being edited, changed and manipulated and thus its not a Holy book any more.
Where Allah granted to keep Quran till the dooms day and thus its still in its Original form as it being revealed to prophet Mohamed (PBUH) in Arabic language and its so easy to memorise and thus no one can edit or change anything in it.
      and Allah knows the best.

(One that) will (truly) represent me, and represent the posterity of Jacob; and make him, O my Lord! one with whom Thou art well-pleased!"
His prayer was answered): "O Zakariya! We give thee good news of a son: His name shall be Yahya: on none by that name have We conferred distinction before."
He said: "O my Lord! How shall I have a son, when my wife is barren and I have grown quite decrepit from old age?
He said: "So (it will be) thy Lord saith, 'that is easy for Me: I did indeed create thee before, when thou hadst been nothing!'"
Zakariya) said: "O my Lord! give me a Sign." "Thy Sign," was the answer, "Shall be that thou shalt speak to no man for three nights, although thou art not dumb."
So Zakariya came out to his people from him chamber: He told them by signs to celebrate Allah's praises in the morning and in the evening.
To his son came the command): "O Yahya! take hold of the Book with might": and We gave him Wisdom even as a youth,
And piety (for all creatures) as from Us, and purity: He was devout
And kind to his parents, and he was not overbearing or rebellious.
So Peace on him the day he was born, the day that he dies, and the day that he will be raised up to life (again)

Islam is the true religion of ALLAH in spite of anyone and everyone. Professor Sidney is doing a better job than many Muslim scholars and he is not a Muslim. O'ALLAH, you are so amazing.

    Dear Paul,
Thank you for your intellectually stimulating video. I am a Muslim and this video helped me to understand the deeper meaning of a particular verse in the Quran (Sura 3, verse 3).
    نَزَّلَ عَلَيۡكَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ مُصَدِّقٗا لِّمَا بَيۡنَ يَدَيۡهِ وَأَنزَلَ ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةَ وَٱلۡإِنجِيلَ
    (3) He has sent down upon you, [O Muḥammad], the Book in truth, confirming what was before it. And He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
The Arabic word مصدق "Musaddeq" and the English translation (confirming) gives me the feeling of “agreeing with/supporting” which I know, from my Quran studies, is not the complete meaning due to the many passages in Quran that clearly states that the Bible and Torah have both been altered by the hands of man.
In your video, you mentioned the statement that the Quran “corrects” the older scriptures. This statement hit me and explains the full meaning of this verse. You see, In Arabic, the word مصدق “Musaddeq” is used legally and literally translates to a “notarizer”, A person who reviews a document and has the authority to confirm, or reject its content. And while "confirmation" is half of what a notarizer does, He/She can also reject the content as well. This complete meaning of the word makes more sense and I am not sure why I did not see it before when I was bothered about the meaning and English translation.
I think the English translation of the verse is lacking and should capture the full meaning as either “confirm or reject” or other concise synonyms of the word “notarize”
Thank you Paul again for your amazing content

"Confirming before it" also construed as revealed in its original form(not as corrupted later)

When it comes to the name of Jesus ('Eesa), it is always presumed that his name was Yeshua' (Yousha' in Arabic). As a native Arabic speaker, I would presume his real name was "Esau" which in Hebrew and Aramaic is "'Eeshu" (pharyngeal at the beginning of the name). There is this presumption that the names of the prophets in the Bible are correct, but only their stories are corrupted. Even John in the Arabic Bible is called "Yuhanna" which is different from the Qur'an. Yuhanna and Yahya have different meanings altogether.

Of course, I'm also interested in your (respected Muslim teachers) response to the 'rabbis' on this cardinal point.
