going to look into this..thinking of switching from a computer science major,to a psychology major with a minor in computer science. Im interested in this field....
very nice......anyone knows about human interaction with other computer machines????..l i.e ike medical instrument which use computer in background....
Okay, divided attention is my critique here. I need to pay attention to the explanation, and at the same time i'm also need to pay attention to the drawing. But, maybe it just me who have a problem with this video XD
Improve the audio and the instruction that has in the video. Also the quality of the video for us to see it clearly. In navigating the videos, help us to make it easy to search what we want to watch.
I'm going into the security side of computer science. I don't feel I should take this course at my University as an elective. Does anyone want to argue? HCI from my perspective is more for the design side of computer science whereas I want to have a strong background in security.
Isaac Espinoza the real work in HCI is done in R and D designing things like Microsoft's Holo Lens. This video is explaining things at a very basic level.
AR and VR technology Multi tasking before are seemed to be difficult for example learning while executing what you learn at the same time or doing multiple things at the same time. AR and VR are immersive technologies that allow human beings to interact with the digital world and extend the productivity of their every day tasks. For example, smart glasses allow hands-free and seamless user interaction with computing systems. Consider an example of a chef who intends to research a new recipe. With smart glass technology, the chef can research and put together the target dish simultaneously. Moreover, the technology also reduces system downtime significantly. This implies that as smart AR/VR glasses are supported by apps, the faults or troubles in the system can be resolved with the aid of maintenance teams in real-time. This enhances consumer trip in a minimum time span. Also, the glasses can discover the user’s response to the interface and in addition optimize the interaction based on the user’s personality, needs, and preferences.
Everybody should know about Human Computer Interaction(HCI). It is useful to cutting edge technologies. Research is most important part in product design. It's not common sense, It's much more, you have to get indepth knowledge on the subject.
Hard work to make the presentation nice and beautiful. But its useless.. its hard to understand the stuffs.. more focus on oral presentation is required.
I heard "mp3 players" and "iPod" and immediately knew this video couldn't have been made in the past 5 years.
Same :P
SAMEEE XD

-> main navigation, search feature(top right) and Links (on left)
-> stick with well-known convention
ted's value added model connects deeply with HCI concepts.
-> the model shows the characteristics of people behavior in choosing products
VSD(value sensitive design) is the approach to design of technology that accounts for human values in the design (end user dictate what is usable and intuitive)

-> technical: design technology support or hinder people's values?
Benefits of VSD:
adapt to different cultures & people
This helps me alot! Thank you!!!
Human computer interaction and human computer design are same
Nailed it 👌
Thank you. I have ADHD and outlines like this make education more accessible for students like myself.
Lovely instruction and amazing illustration, and I get the basic concept about HCI from this Video. Thx~
well im here 11 years later and this thing helped me in my project :D
Beautiful video, very easy to watch, entertaining, and educational. Love it !
Bonobo tune got me hooked !! respect
iv never been so chilled when learning
loved it........ very eye pleasing, pls make more videos like this
charming illustration!
Really enjoyed your teaching style, thank you
Great video. Educational and useful.
This is a great video!!! ..How much money did you spend on the markers? :P
Damn it's really been 13 years
really enjoyed that video there guys - inspiring!
What a presentation! Very interesting
4:03 ,,, I like this part , because this is exactly my situation right now :)
I would really thanx for the vid and the creativity explanation
Thank you! Very good video
i like your drawing skills!! it is soo ON TARGET!!! THUMBS UP
you have some great stuff here
Loved it! ❤
thanks for your video 🙏
going to look into this..thinking of switching from a computer science major,to a psychology major with a minor in computer science. Im interested in this field....
I learnt about HCI from yesterday at class in Unitec, Auckland, New Zealand. It's course for Web Design and Mulltimedia Development Diploma.
Thanks ! Very informative introduction to HCI
so well presented thanks
great video thanks!!
Loved it
yes.it seems its a video on hci
well, i was looking for host controler interface but ok.
brilliant video
amazing video
i like the idea of the video
Amazing, this video was made 12 years ago. hahaha, I bet the group participants are all married right now. Hahahaha, wow
very entertaining

Oh no no, I'm with you on that. 30 seconds into the video and my brain started spazzing.
really good :) loved it..
but i felt it was a bit fast.,
Nice one .. appreciate the method..... ;)
very interesting thanks
good job!

@UCSD HCI student = Thumbs UP!
Why did I read it like hydrochloric acid at first
howwww ?
I really don't get why it's a part f my Computer Science course. All of it is common sense. It's just a complete waste of time in my pov.
At least it has more to do with CS than the general education requirements most schools require like biology, art etc. lol
Everybody should know about Human Computer Interaction(HCI). It is useful to cutting edge technologies. Research is most important part in product design. It's not common sense, It's much more, you have to get indepth knowledge on the subject.
Juozas Dapkunas most *good* HCI courses focus on coming up with improved interfaces. The guy in the video just simplified it to a very basic level.
hci requires knowledge of css, html and javascript..these are a must
Not really. A lot of people do it wrong.
the background is too disturbing
Background music is annoying...
