Interesting categories for defining HCI in different periods. Inspire me a lot. Now I want to investigate more about the 3D HCI where the Apple Vision Pro would definitely raise a trend. Hopefully I could become an experienced 3D HCI developer by the time it publishes!
Looks like the future of HCI is moving towards a seamless interaction where everything is automated and UI will be eliminated.... basically the way you interact will become more natural and straight forward

@@captainkarate2533 HCI is really interesting. You'll start looking at things from a different perspective. Start reading papers published in CHI and you'll know whether you're really interested in HCI

Technology sales presentation - happy talk. I don't think we'll decide how we use technology - it will be decided for us.
But essentially we can use it in a way completely unintended to better a computer system that could essentially shape the way we use it, it’s like a give and take from both.
Also wanted to add that the technology may be designed to guide users on how to use it in which the user adapts their task to the technology, but people can manipulate their own movements or tasks to be more efficient with the technology.

A bit sickening that the Apple Macintosh computer is shown as the birth of the WIMP GUI computer… what about the Xerox STAR system????? Give credit where credit is due. The Mac's GUI is a direct ripoff from Xerox who gave it and several of its top programmers and designers to Apple. Sheesh.
They got paid to say apple more than likely.
