- After the last time I tried a Kite fleet and it failed, they said it couldn't be done. Well open your eyes and BEHOLD! The truly wonderful world of meta Kites. All the forces across the galaxy quiver in my wake. They flee from the all mighty, overpowered KITE SWARM! 100? 200? More?! A little hint.
The salvaging logic will try to give you more ship types that you do not have. So the more Kites you have in your fleet, the less likely that you will find usable kites. The markets may operate the same way.
So it may be advisable to make a fleet comprised of no kites to aquire new kites. And keep the kites that you acuire in storage until you get enough.
Also, get a colony, make nothing but double Atropos and light kinetic cannons.
That is good to know 😂 haha would explain the troubles i had. The markets seems very random to me. Sometimes none, then up to 5 and in between. Definitely something I will keep in mins though.
I considered a colony for this video, but I thought it would be faster to sell drugs and grab kites as I went instead of establishing a colony and building them. The variation of weapons could have been better though for sure. Kites can only slap on so much lol, along with market availability.
@@PapaCheddar you might save at a point where you have a colony, full skills and nuetral or friendly with all factions.
From this save point you could get up to all sorts of mischief.
You can change all your skills for the measly price of 2 story points. You can use your own production in tandem with arms dealer production to produce the exact fleet composition you want. Make enemies, make friends, destroy the galaxy.
And as long as you keep your original save intact, you can go right back to your prosperous blank slate and start again.
I like the way you think lol. I've done a version of that before with a couple videos. An old save i have 10 mil and a big fleet on. Makes a decent base to launch a video concept lol.
On my personal save game i could. Got a decent colony set up and what not. Only issue being it is a vanilla save aha. But can easily work up to it in modded as well.
Sometimes i like to start at the bottom for videos though. Adds a bit of challenge to it. And like with my pather video i was able to start out with them and fully dive into every other factions hatred 😂 haha

Your delivery is enjoyable and jokes are pretty decent. The montage is also good. Seeing some sseth inspiration. You deserve more views. There is a console mod for starsector that allows to spawn ships and in windows notepad search there is "Wrap around" option, which makes it work as expected.

Text search works just fine in notepad. Make sure you disable case sensitivity (you had) and check wrap around (you had not) to get most results.

😂 haha I wish I could say i haven't encountered this. On my private game I don't record I set up colonies at like 8pm maybe, then i have the misses coming down at 2 am asking if im going to bed lol. I didnt even realise what was happening. All i knew, was that my colonies needed me.

Can you try a carrier only fleet starting at the UAF faction?
Or maybe phase skimmer frigates and cruisers from that faction. Both are very powerful. The phase skimmer ships are quite a bit more difficult to find but they're like the wolf frigate on steroids.
Eventually I want to try UAF. Everything I've read on them says they are siper OP. So I've kinda been pushing it off lol
they're op, but hostile with almost every other faction so venturing near the core worlds is dangerous. And they still have weaknesses.
The most op ships are also only used by the faction. You can't acquire them yourself, they're there to ensure the storyline ain't broke by invading forces taking over.
Ahh okay, so that could add a little extra challenge lol. What's it... Semibreve? The op fighters?

It's gonna be fun regardless if the faction is op or not. The mod ain't complete yet though, so could wait for it to be more refined or check out the mod now and do a revisit of the mod once it's completed.

Rather than establishing a colony and baby sitting it and then waiting for production... After how long this actually took to get 200 kites though... I have my doubts That i chose correctly hahaha.
