      Hi there. Contrary to common misconceptions piranhas are not scavengers. They are active predators that inhabit the same waters as larger fish. Their razor-sharp teeth are an evolutionary adaptation that allows them to efficiently hunt and consume prey, rather than merely scavenging. I keep piranhas more than 10 years and more of a thousands of them ever since. I know their habbit and movement against light, dark, new plants, big-small fish, crabs, snails, cockroach, new woods, water change, temp, shock, even small chick who suddenly entering their glass pond of mine. Thanks for watching!

      @piranhasworld Thank you for the reply. In documentaries, I have seen where they sometimes do that. Just as do Vultures and Crocodiles (and I am sure others as well). I think that often means they are usually at the point of starvation, so it must mean you tend to your guys very well. Great job!

      I have a pond that can only accommodate around 100 piranhas comfortably. To provide a more natural environment, I'm planning to set up a larger pond with aquatic plants. This will allow the piranhas to better adapt to their natural river-like habitat. I do saving some from my YT ads, just living from it man maybe take some months.
      I'm excited to document the progress on my YT channel and hope you'll subscribe to see the improvements! Thank you for your support! ❤️

    Even though that's their natural way of eating, it's still very sadistic.Maybe from here we learn the meaning of its nature, only if you can feed it after you have cut the fish

    • @piranhasworld
      @piranhasworld  Před 2 měsíci +10

      While it's understandable that the sight of piranhas feeding can be perceived as brutal or sadistic, it's important to consider the context of their natural behavior. Piranhas are carnivorous fish with a feeding strategy that has evolved over millions of years. Of course with their strong jaw mix the sharp teeth.
      As humans, we often project our own emotions and moral judgments onto animal behavior. However, it's crucial to differentiate between our subjective perception and the natural instincts of animals. In the wild, predation and the consumption of other organisms are integral parts of the ecological balance.
      Regarding the suggestion of cutting the fish before feeding it to the piranhas, it's worth noting that it may not align with their natural hunting behavior. Piranhas are adapted to detect and pursue live prey, and their feeding response is triggered by movement and the scent of blood. Feeding them pre-cut fish might not provide the same mental and physical stimulation that they would experience in the wild.
      Ultimately, it's essential to respect and appreciate the diverse ways in which different species have adapted to survive and thrive in their environments. While it may seem harsh to us, observing and understanding their natural behavior can provide valuable insights into the complexities of the natural world.
      Lastly, don't worry, i'm not giving a live diet everyday.
      Thanks for watching!
