The additional steam wand is what needed sometimes. I‘ve worked in a space where we had a 3 group Strada and during winter we brought on a single group speedster to have 3 baristas steaming drinks. On barista cranking out shots to the two people on wands, and the guy cranking out shots can steam when possible too.
This sounds like you would have been pumping them out Naeem. Always fun to have 3 people on a big setup.
Where was this?
Jimmy
Finally! A proper video on the topic, and not some AI/TTS slop.
Great. Thanks
Excellent presentation as always. I imagine power consumption of a 3-group machine vice a 2-group also contributes to higher operating cost. Perhaps significant kilowatt-hours in a month. The whole presentation was very interesting -- thanks for that! You hit on a lot of vital issues.
Glad you enjoyed it. Yes, the power usage would be seen in your electricity bill and something to consider also.
Thanks, Jimmy
These kinds of videos are so rare they're like jewels found inside a mountain
😂 plenty more 💎 in the catalog
Thank you for the comparison. Though I still sometimes puzzle cafe uses even two groups. A dual boiler machine can pull >150 shots a day. Unless they'd like to introduce other coffee. How many cups should two groups make every day to roughly get break even? Thanks again, I learn quite a lot watching Artisti's videos
Great tips, I’m starting as a barista and learning these things increases my knowledge of the equipment we use. Thank you so much 😊
Awesome. Always good to keep learning hey.
Cheers, Jimmy ✌🏻
Imagine being trained by Jimmy. Train more young ones to increase our shortage of baristas! Haha
If a Michelin Star Barista was a thing Jimmy would hold that title, hands down. Love your work dude!
Oh man what a comment! Thanks Micah, much appreciated 🙏🏻
Keeping the barista dream alive one video at a time 😆
Thanks again.
Jimmy ✌🏻
Thank you so much for your support
Thank you for this very insightful video!
I'm starting my own coffee shop, and this video really helped me a lot in deciding what to look out for and what to buy! 👌🏻 Thanx!!
Your exactly who we made it for 😊

I’m retired now but my Linea Mini does me perfect at home, lol great information for someone starting a new venture as a coffee shop.
Hope your all getting over the Covid.
Kind regards from Scotland 🏴
Johnny
Amazing machine for home 👌🏼
Trying to be helpful for new cafes, there’s a lot to learn.
Slightly getting back to normal with covid here in Australia 🇦🇺
Great to have you watching from Scotland!
Cheers, Jimmy
Thanks for the valuable insight
👍🏽Very informative video. How about keeping the two group and buying an extra single group. Would help in case either one breaks down..
really helpful, man. respect and thanks
Glad it helped!
CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME RATHER THEN A 2 GROUP ESPRESSO MACHINE WHICH ONE IS BETTER
I have an Elektra Barlume 2gr made in 2013 that I'd like to sell. Needs a servicing to get it back to work
👍🏻
Hello, could you quickly share your thoughts on Sanremo F18 multiboiler vs La Marzocco Linea PB X? The question covers not only quality of coffee that comes out but also built and reliability of these machines.
Both great machine. We sell both brands. The LM like a Toyota, holds its value longer and will look like new in 10 year with a little bit of a love. Cheers luke
Why does adding milk decrease oxidisation?
Do you guys plan to film some guide and workflow advice for cafes, that have and use more grinders ?
awesome video
I wish you were in the US .
Don't forget US viewers to double the amperage mentioned since AU is 230V and US is 120V.
Thanks Matt. I’m not across this so really appreciate you helping.
Cheers, Jimmy
That's not entirely true. Commercial machines in the US will be 240 volt. Maybe, maybe there is a commercial single group that uses 120 volt 20 amp outlet but that would be the rare exception.
I still prefer using one group coffee machine that can make espresso consistently using volumetric, for high volume Cafe I might be preferred double group and double steam wand, one group for one barista
👌🏼
What's coffee machine do you recommend for a new coffee shop in canada
Appreciate it
Hi, nice presentation, interesting comparison. Can you advice towards using La Marzocco Linea Mini or Astoria Greta for a small coffee shop(
We don’t know the Astoria sorry. But the mini is not designed for 100 cups, get a commercial model.
How about 1 group to start with?
Hi, Do you have a training for the IR2GE type 2 groups?
Looks like a young Pete Townshend
Hi, why not work with two or three one head dual boiler machines (like GS3, Eagle One, Decent, ...)? Easy upgrade from 2 to 3, if one is broken the other(s) still make coffee&steam, in times when it is usually not as busy you can turn one off and save Energie. Are there reasons I didn't see?
you would be referencing a Multi boiler over a dual boiler, this allows you to turn off a head. once you get past a 3 group we would recommend a 2nd coffee machine, then you can truly turn off a machine if needed. also if you have a multi boiler and the steam element dies, you have no steam at all.
00:04:37:25 - 00:04:42:27
with a good duel boiler can manage that up
to about 40 kilos upwards.
40 kilos of what per what? It never got specified?
40kg of coffee per week like a busy cafe doing over 5kg of coffee per day. Around 200 cups per day
@@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters awesome thanks!
How about one group?
For me it's better for home cafe like homemade. 1 group is not enough for a cafe even a small cafeteria.
It depends on your daily usage how efficient and convenient that machine is? Is it going to be beneficial for you and your cafeteria? It all depends on your vision and missions.
Well that’s something you would have at home not really at a coffee shop because coffee shops are busy unless you have just a food truck it’s better for 2 or 3 group
Explain pls the shot buttons! They are always confusing
Anything in particular?
Usually there is 2 for single basket and 2 for double.
The buttons can be programmed to any volume that suits your recipe.
So ignore the pictures really.
@@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters I mean which one should I press If the client orders 2 Expresso cups. A.The button with 2 cups half full or B. the button with one cup that is super full or C. the Button with 2 cups super full?
I’m gonna use Linea Mini for my about to open coffee shop, it has one group, the problem is there are 80+ seating on the shop, so i have to serve a splitted espresso so i could make 2 cup at once
Great machine but challenging if you want to get the coffees out fast. You’ll only want to split your shots on small cups so tricky for many large coffee orders.
Any chance of upgrading to a La Marzocco Linea Classic 2 group?
@@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters yeah the biggest one is just 8oz, so i just have to use coffee with heavy body. Why do you recommend the Classic, not PB?
Are there any perks to have more then 1 espresso machine in a cafe?
Nope. Not unless you’re doing heaps of coffee with 4 baristas. Possibly if you want to separate takeaway from dine in coffee orders.
Lots of additional work and costs.
Better of having good workflow on a 3 group.
@@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters Thank you yall have a great channel ! Can't wait to try your coffee. From the US here!
Hey I need your help with networking with a where house coffee distribution where do I buy the beans for wholesale

Hey can u help me out
The video I needed 🙌
Awesome. I think there is a lot of people in the same boat. I answer these questions a lot so this video will help me not have to repeat myself 😂
Have you got a coffee shop or looking to open one?
Jimmy
Hopefully when I have the funds I will open one
Are you the owner? I thought it was the other guy
I am the owner, but the brand is a family of coffee lovers. cheers luke
