I’ve been wearing my spark clear aligners since 1/2/23 at 40 years old. Today is 3/16/23, and wow! No one believes I’m wearing ANYTHING when they are on! My teeth have moved a lot! I’m wearing my 10th tray and I’m excited to see the results.
I had braces in high school but never wore my retainer after that. I'm 60 now and over the last 10 years or so, i noticed my teeth started shifting. Four teeth had been pulled when i first got braces so gaps started forming between several teeth when my teeth started shifting back to their original positions....and my top and bottom front teeth stopped touching. It was annoying trying to take a bite of pizza or a sandwich. So I booked an appt with my orthodontist. Spark aligners were clearer and less expensive than invisalign.
You change to a new set every week. Just started week 2. I took my aligners off to eat lunch earlier and was shocked to feel my front teeth all touching again when i bit down on my food! WEEK 2! I can bite down and cut the food like I used to😊. Can't wait for all the gaps to close up! Also, for some reason, my teeth look pretty good when I smile with the aligners on.😊

It all depends on each individual case. Severity and complexity of your misalignment, length of the treatment. Find an orthodontist near you and boom a consultation. Many orthodontist offer free consultation where they will examine your case, take a 3D scan, answer any questions and estimate the length and cost of the treatment. I’ve been to two consultations. Both of them lasted around 50 min, one office wanted a £50 deposit which was deducted from the treatment cost but decided to go with the other orthodontist and they refunded me the deposit.
Just so you have an idea, my case is a bit more complex because I have a cross-bite to fix (that’s a lot of movement to be done). I’m gonna wear my braces for 15-18months. One orthodontist wanted £4500 and the other £5300 but mild cases may cost (I believe) £1500-£2500 for teeth straightening only, if your bite doesn’t need correction

It makes me lisp really badly which hinders me at work 😞
