Some things seem so obvious but seeing someone actually go out and do it gives that little push of courage to take it on yourself and act outside of the box instead of just thinking. Thanks for the inspiration!
Great, quick and inexpensive fix. I will definitely try that. We have the same style bed from Ashley and it always happens when we are … trying to sleep 😉
I want to raise my king tuffed platform bed. I have the exact legs on mine. I've been looking for tall rises but no one has ther height that i want. You gave me a great idea on how to make them. Thank you so much for all your help.
I have this same BED it's doing same thing. Paid alot for that bed leas than year ago and it's giving me a fit. I also put the stuff on there to grip the floor.
I’m pleased you got back to me. Your very kind. Please take care and stay safe England is now opening up but I’m still ordering it on line I’m looking forward to seeing other tips on repairing stuff
I worry for you all in the Islands of Brittain. I hope your people are coming together in love. I know that sounds cheesy but, in these times, I keep thinking of this quote from a major civil rights leader: "Darkness cannot drive out darkness. Only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate. Only love can do that" (MLK Jr). I say these things because I know most people are very angry with government right now, as we are free to be, for our leaders (mostly) have let their people down. This is a time in world history where we prove, as a people, that we can govern ourselves. We don't need governments to tell us what boogeymen to be afraid of. Guess I just wanted to share my piece. Cheers!
Seek the Truth T.V. To be honest our government have been better than most. People who can’t work have been given 80% of their salary.until October if they can’t go back to work. We are lucky because my husband can work from home. I have one child at university and that’s been done on line, my other child is hoping to go to university so just waiting for what the results as there are no exams. I’m helping people who are isolating by getting them food. Although some places are opening up. We have decided not to bother. We have everything we need at home and we have a nice garden and a needy doggy. I know we are luckier than some people. I feel sorry for people who live in flats that must be so hard. Take care Keep safe and I am thinking about the next thing I will end up repairing.
Seek the Truth T.V. The people who are upset with the government are the people who have not declared their earnings and avoided paying taxes. My view is if you haven’t paid your taxes then you have been earning more previously by avoiding tax. We pay taxes so I have no sympathy for them. It’s funny because these are the people who complain about our nhs but avoid paying in to it. In my view Britain does look after its people. But I accept not everyone thinks that.
@@yikes4783 That is good news. Good thing the fear mongering media is wrong. Seems what people really report goes directly against what the NEWs claims. Hopefully this craziness doesn't last long. Glad to hear your family is secured.
@@yikes4783 We can thank how media portrays other countries for that. I'm always happy to hear that American news is lying. I can't direct to any one article. It does seem that the ones who avoid paying taxes are the ones who cry entitlement as well. Quite the irony.
I have the same issue with our ashley platform bed. Those center struts are terrible! Constantly slipping out. We're getting a rug to try to save our floors. Will definitely be trying this too!!!
3 beds in 4 years, all the the legs would bend and eventually break on all three even when we spent more money on the bed frame which we thought was the problem cheap bed not so much but definitely cheaply made. I never thought to reinforce it thanks.
No problem. I think we should all share our ideas to help build a better world. Seems a stretch, and imaginative, but each block is needed to keep a building strong and held together.
Yes i am concerned about this damn full dhp daybed i put together. where do i need to put the reinforcements? im trying to figure that out. The slats seem too thin and springy. All the other part s of the bed is fine. Good job. IM just trying to figure out where i put the bricks or whatever.
Thank you so much! I just spent $400.00 on a full size bed frame from Wayfair. The first night my daughter used it, the main beam broke and all the slats fell. I was trying to figure out how to fix it without spending so much money and I think this is exactly what I was looking for! Not to mention that my daughter has the same kind of bed, with a drawer at the foot of the bed. Thanks again!
No problem! I know my channel is all over the place, but I thought the idea was a good one, and the bed is still up-right and strong today. I did end up going back to add more support beams so now I believe I have 3 on each slat, but it definitely is still holding up. Hope you can fix it with ease. It wasn't difficult. Cheers!👍
Well, if it means anything, after I did this to my bed, it is still standing and supporting itself. So the idea worked for me at least. Hope this video can help you also. Peace.
I m planning to use L shape support on both side since I have wooden leg support and wooden rails running perpendicular vs you have steel rails. What do you think?
yo so my frame bent from the side of the bed frame in the middle it’s aluminum i believe. maybe if i hammer it back into place itll be fixed? idk this is the first ive ever had it happen to me so im looking shit up on how to fix it. i might have to do what you did in this video but just install them on the sides
It couldn't hurt. I'm just afraid that if you just try too bend them back, that it will just happen again. Too prevent going through this a second time, it might just be safer to reinforce it. It's an easy solution to an expensive problem. My frame is still standing strong.
That’s a fantastic idea. What it that tape called. I’m in England we are just opening up lock down. So I’m going to order it on amozon. I don’t fancy going to the shops at the moment.
Galvanized Steel Hanger Strap I finally looked it up. That is what the metal strip is called that I used. I apologize for taking so long to respond. Cheers!
It's insane I paid over 2k for my frame from Ashley in king size and it has the same 3 posts down the middle and they flip out, recently had the side supports for the slats break too, should have just bought the headboard 😂😂😂
So once you did that, was it easy to bend the other ones back? I’m dealing with this right now… we really love our bed frame, and don’t want to toss it…
I really apologize. After YT deleted my channel for a few weeks, since I have been back, I haven't been posting new content or checking notifications. I ordered new slats through the company, and reinforced them as seen in the video. I apologize 🙏 I am sure you have already moved on.
Dang! Had the same problem and came up with a similar solution, but the bars are rounded on my frame so the wood still slips out 😩😩 I sanded a groove into the wood, but still no dice. Any ideas??
I apologize, just now seeing this. Yes, how about connecting all of your pillars with one long board, left to right, for each row. You would have to trim your pillars accordingly though, but nail the bottom longer boards bottom up, meaning: assemble each three rows first, then turn them right-side up, and fasten them on your rails/frame pieces.
I do not know for sure, but it is found in, or around the plumbing section. The metal is used to hang pipes. Someone at a hardware store will be able to point you in the right direction.
I have the same style bed, it happened to me, but I called badcock and told them my f@#$ing mattress has sunk and they need to get out here. I need to call them back and let them know I found the problem, I told them to send a rep out!!!!!😂😂😂😂 Mine doing a V also, I just had knee surgery so I was not looking under there.
My issue will be the nails are not aligned with headboard. Its off by centimeters. From Amazon 3rd party Awful. My warranty should clear the problem. Or reinforce;fix yourself..
"Tryin to sleep" we all know why the bed broke 🤣
A year later this comment has me dying 🤣
Some things seem so obvious but seeing someone actually go out and do it gives that little push of courage to take it on yourself and act outside of the box instead of just thinking. Thanks for the inspiration!
they don't make beds like they used to
Seems as though they make no thing like they used too. Especially digital devices. Scam numero uno.
Ashley furniture is poorly designed. I will never buy anymore of their junk with my hard earned money.
Taking shortcuts, and cheap labor to save money!
Excellent idea!! I've been racking my brain wondering how to fix this cheap bed from Amazon. Thank you so much - it's brilliant.
Great, quick and inexpensive fix. I will definitely try that. We have the same style bed from Ashley and it always happens when we are … trying to sleep 😉
This is great!! I ordered a bed on Amazon and I have the same issue!! This is so helpful!! Gracias for sharing this video!!
I have this same bed and was looking for an easy fix!!! Thank you
No problem. That's why I made the vid. 👍
THANKS SO MUCH!!! I HAD THE PROBLEM. YOU'RE A LIFE SAVER!
Same problem--great and cheap fix! THANK YOU!! $12 and a little time --DONE!
Great idea. I have a metal frame bed but we lost the legs I am going to try it! Thank you!
Very useful! Same issue on my new bed bought from Furniture mart!! Thanks a ton.......
This has helped me so much! Thank you!!!!
Thanks! I’m definitely trying this.
Thanks for the info I’m currently working on mine and will definitely use the sticky grip fabric

Good luck
Great idea, worked well for me, it cost $14 for me, but still a lot cheaper than buying replacement supports.
I have the same issue with our ashley platform bed. Those center struts are terrible! Constantly slipping out. We're getting a rug to try to save our floors. Will definitely be trying this too!!!
Great vid!
Thanks a lot
Good idea, thanks.
Gosh I have this issue where my heavy mattress sags and I have a box spring thank you soooo much!
Ty for sharing, I am just trying to fix our bed.
3 beds in 4 years, all the the legs would bend and eventually break on all three even when we spent more money on the bed frame which we thought was the problem cheap bed not so much but definitely cheaply made. I never thought to reinforce it thanks.
Thanks a bunch for the video!

Got this problem with my bed as well....seems like a practical and cheap way to fix the bed.....the metal piece is called 'metal tape' I think
Pipe strapping
Thanks I need to do this
Love the video
Thank you, by the way. I seemed to heart the comment, but did not say thanks. So thank you.

Your welcome. Handy video
I have the same bed. Would you happen to have the measurements you used?
I have this exact bed and this exact thing happened smh. Literally on the floor now with bent screws and broke. I’m so lost on what to do lol
Well, if it means anything, after I did this to my bed, it is still standing and supporting itself. So the idea worked for me at least. Hope this video can help you also. Peace.
Needed this 2 of my wood legs broke thank u
You are very welcome. I'm glad this video could help.
Oh! The stuff your wife used is called non skid! Smart wifey you’ve got yourself!
I m planning to use L shape support on both side since I have wooden leg support and wooden rails running perpendicular vs you have steel rails. What do you think?
Thank you I've been through 2 frames. Just poorly made now a days. I'm fed up
I feel like if that metal is pliable, it would very easily mild or bend with pressure?! Maybe an l bracket on the inside
yo so my frame bent from the side of the bed frame in the middle it’s aluminum i believe. maybe if i hammer it back into place itll be fixed? idk this is the first ive ever had it happen to me so im looking shit up on how to fix it. i might have to do what you did in this video but just install them on the sides

This video is aces, about to try man, at a minimum give a solid approach to start from then tweak if nec. Thx.
It should work. My bed is still holding strong.
It's insane I paid over 2k for my frame from Ashley in king size and it has the same 3 posts down the middle and they flip out, recently had the side supports for the slats break too, should have just bought the headboard 😂😂😂
Are you in Massachusetts.??

How many inches did u cut them have the same bed same problem
Honestly, I just measured the distance between the slats and the floor. Or you can measure the original pieces that came with the bed.
What is the metal called that you used
I do not know for sure, but it is found in, or around the plumbing section. The metal is used to hang pipes. Someone at a hardware store will be able to point you in the right direction.
Galvanized hanger strap
Can you please let me know what the metal strip is called?
I think it is called a "Slat" or "Slats", or maybe even support beam.
Galvanized hanger strap

Did that it work long term?
Still holding strong, yes. Beats buying a brand new frame any day.
oh thank you... I just put together a bedframe and its swaying..I will get my husband to that....
"trying to sleep"
Paid over $1000 for a frame and it was garbage. I weigh 150 lbs and it broke.
Is it just me, or does the video look super-dark? I've adjusted my brightness to 98%, but the room still looks like there's no light.
I have checked many woodworking plan sites. I think the instructions from Woodprix are the best.
My issue will be the nails are not aligned with headboard. Its off by centimeters.
From Amazon 3rd party
Awful.
My warranty should clear the problem.
Or reinforce;fix yourself..
