For the Portal Companion Cube thing ... while I don't remember them specifically stating it, there are indications that you're not the first test subject, you're just the first one to escape. What happened to all those other test subjects? Well, the part where you escape the tests is when GLADOS says "There will be cake" implying that you will get a celebration for "graduating" ... and then attempts to cook you alive (and eventually lets slip "you will be baked and then there will be cake" ... meaning you ARE the cake). What if Companion Cubes are what's left of previous test subjects, somehow kept alive (and sentient) and placed in some sort of robotic shell? Also, we never see any of the previous test subjects (and seeing yourself is really difficult), along with the fact that you have no memory from before the moment of being awakened, so I agree with the theory that all the test subjects are just clones of somebody, released one at a time with small variations to conduct some sort of experimentation, possibly on human intelligence? That would explain the "fratricide" thing ... you just destroyed what remains of one of your literal sisters (clones) that was a previous test subject.

@@theawesomemario-bh2hi To be fair, it's not my theory, I just stumbled across it one day and it seemed to make a lot of sense. There are people on the internet, CZcams especially, that pretty much spend their entire life coming up with these theories about games and posting videos about it.

My not so scary Theory is that when Mario defeats an enemy or collects them on the floor, instead of getting coins, a toad pays him lots of coins to defeat bowser. And the more progress Mario makes, the more coins he gets paid at the end of the level.

I think we’re overlooking the obvious answer: when Mario burns an enemy it drops its wallet but not when he crushes an enemy because he won’t loot a dead body
Technically, the backpack on the crewmate's back has potential to not be an oxygen tank, it could just simply be a regular backpack. This theory is also backed by the fact that the crewmates die immediately after being ejected out of the ship, whereas if they were oxygen tanks, then they would be able to survive until their oxygen runs out.
when it comes to the "eating pokemon" theory, well that seems to be true. i remember watching an episode where they explained that farfetch'd were rare because people would eat them alot

I'm pretty sure, if I'm remembering correctly, in pokemon silver for the gameboy, you could purchase slowpoke tail to eat and there was a full town of slowpokes that had their tails cut off.
Technically the tails aren't eaten, you just chew on them to release their delicious flavor. Also, typically Slowpokes shed their tail every once in a while, but since that was too, well, SLOW for Team Rocket who took over the town, they started to simply chop off the tails.
BUT, they're tails grew back so it was still messed up how most people think about it but really take a look at our world.for example a fox is killing chickens on a ranch in our world the solution would normaly be to kill it but in the pokemon worl that fenekin is killing the delibirds and the solution would be to catch it and make it a family member so, our world is worse.
It was confirmed in the games and shows that they do eat Pokemon, at the very least Miltank and Tauros as well as Slowpoke.

since day 1 if you paid close attention it was common knowledge that yes you ate Pokemon, this is a world where Pokemon are the animals in the world. The dungeon 3 thing in Zelda was sadly too many people not paying attention. The Swastika was a mirrored then rotated version of the Kanji. the Kanji is the symbol that shows in the game. a Tibetian symbol of luck and fortune, also very well known in budhist culture.

The "Pokémon are Food" Theory is basically confirmed at this point. The Anime outright says it while the game kinda hints at it. Remember that time Ash freaked out when Professor Oak said he cooked a Crabby for lunch but calmly relents after he explained that he cooked Gary's Crabby instead of Ash's since his was too small (underleveled)
Yeah. Ash and Brock once fantasized about eating a Magikarp once too. Pokémon are definitely eaten.
There are also Pokédex entries that say people eat the parts that have fallen of pokemon

In Pokémon sword and shield, there is a dish that uses slowpoke's tail but is explained that slowpokes tail actually falls off. But it then begs the question, why the hell would anyone eat it.

Because it's delicious. Also, you don't technically eat the tail, you just chew on it, like how you'd chew on a sugar cane. When cooked in curry, the tail release its delicious flavor at the same time it also soaks in the curry's flavor, making both the curry and itself more delicious.
I have heard and seen Pokemon creepypastas about Lavender Tower, the ghosts etc. They truly exploit the creepy atmosphere of the 1st gen Lavender Town, the tower and the ghosts.
But I have to say, out of this conversation, one I like the music in a sad way and two, the graphics in Eevee and Pikachu are much better than older ones

the existence of real-life animals in pokemon was retconned, and it was confirmed in the alola games, I think, that they really do eat pokemon in some sushi restaurant.
They ate Pokemon in the show too. Ash called Prof Oak to check on his Krabby and thought he ate it. Prof Oak then says the Krabby he caught was too small to eat, but Gary's Krabby would make a great meal.

About the Link dungeon one: that's a common misconception: What you can see in the layout is the Buddhist symbol of the sun. There are two marked differences between it and the Nazi swastika:

@@tyresejeffers7857 the first modern pokemon war was Johto vs Kanto. Kanto lost horribly. To prevent another war Red positioned himself at Mt. Silver because it was the only land connecting the two regions.
If any large group of people wanted to invade either of the regions they would have to deal with the pokemon living on Mt. Silver as well as Red.

that's not how it works. even if its fantasy with mystical creatures, there should be a limit to everything. to make it believable world. if there is no limit then the world will end up becoming dull and boring like if someone needs help because they are in danger, you gonna save them else they will die. if there is no limitation then what's the point of saving them if they can be revive with endless magic?

Edit: Since this reply section is becoming stupid lemme explain, a childhood game is a game that affected you and inspired you when you were young, when you are really young you can't say x game is your childhood because you haven't gotten out of your childhood yet. It might not make sense but this is technically what it is. When a game is only a year old, it can't be anyone's childhood since Noone has grown up with it yet, they haven't experienced it for much of their younger life and it has barely made an impact for them. For me my childhood game was five nights at freddy's, bakc when I was 8 I couldn't say "this game is my childhood" because I'd still be in my childhood. So to wrap this up, a childhood game is a game that has been out long enough to make a kid grow up with it. Fall guys isn't old enough yet but in 3 years for example it might be many people's childhoods

Pikachu was confused for a tiny bit before the trainer gave the Pikachu a AK-47.

also, on the Sonic / Kirby shoe things I had a theory that Sonic doesn't take his shoes off because of some accident that made it where his feet were slowly being destroyed to the point where he would not be able to walk / run around, and that some unnamed person made shoes that are made specifically to prevent the process and if he ever took off the shoes the process would quicken to the point where it should of been at [ like if a person had a power to make them live a longer life and look younger would accelerate in age and look if said power was taken away after they had that power for over 1,000 years ... they would turn to dust since they would not be alive and the remains would most likely be of dust by that time ]

Animals may have some signs of sentience, but humans show all the signs, meaning they are. for example: humans can understand concepts abstractly (for example, you can visualize any apple you please in your head just from the word i typed) An animal can only see and react to what is around it. (the best an animal can do is understand that when they see the word apple, a physical apple may be given to them by their owner soon)

What's even more unsettling about Lavender Town is the music, in Japan, it caused children to fall into Comas. Because of the frequencies in the song track, though, to remedy this they removed the frequency within the song.

That's false. Kirby got his name from a lawyer that saved Nintendo when it was still a small developing company. Back in 1982 Universal studios wanted to sue Nintendo for the use of the name Kong in there newest game (at the time) donkey kong. John Kirby was the lawyer that won Nintendo the case. He was bald with a round head so they made the character based off that and named him kirby to thank him for saving there company.

Also the anime confirmed that some normal animals did exist but also that certain pokemon parts can be harvested and then grow back. The Slowpoke tail being such an item as well as the eggs for egg curry coming from Chansey or Blissey's.
It's also not hard to consider that real animals exist; they're just out of focus because the Pokemon are the main things you need to put your attention on.

@@KestralKuthule Not arguing there. Slowpoke tails are supposed to be sweet tasting, and have no nutritional value whatsoever. Oh, and if you haven't played G/S/C, you may not know that their tails grow back, continually, each time they are lost. That only makes the issue worse...
To be fair, Among Us crewmates could be insect-like. Insects don't have any bones, and, not that they're bones, they don't even have lungs, but they still need to breath, and I think the singular bone is what keeps them upright. I really like to think they're little bug people.

The poke-war theory goes even further. Yes, Red's father was killed in the war, That's why the professor is all about rushing you & Blue out the door and instigating your rivalry. The professor wants Blue gone so he doesn't have to take care of him and he wants you gone so he can come by and "take care" of your mom.
Pokemon tower is actually the war memorial for all local pokemon killed during the war, which is why that music was chosen instead of the typical upbeat music. In fact, so many pokemon were killed in the war that that the year Red & Blue set out is the first year since the war that new traveling pokemon trainers weree allowed. That's another reason why there is no intermediate pokemon trainers in the wild, just experienced for several years or brand new.
