20 something years later or so and I STILL love this trailer! Man... this is what made me fall in love with Michelle Yeoh... though I didn't know her name at the time! :D
They hadn't figured it out either, apparently -- she appears to be credited as Michelle Khan.
I remember seeing this trailer in the theater. When the title Supercop came up, the audience cheered! Everyone remembered him from his first movie, Rumble in the Bronx. (Although it wasn't his first movie, it was his first leading role in an American release that everyone knew him from. Jackie was only known in the US for Rumble in the Bronx. Supercop came to the US a year later in 1996.) I'm about to watch Supercop now. Criterion channel has a Michelle Yeoh collection that they've just released and Supercop is one of them.
michelle yeoh and jackie chan are such an amazing team up
Jackie chan is superb.
best movie super cop
One of the best trailers ever! So well cut!!!!
"Meet The Cop That Can't Be Stopped"
Good ol days...when Jackie and Michelle were in prime
Especially Michelle. This is the Michelle Yeoh I grew up with. I wish she would or could do these types of films instead of just drama now.
@@alucard624 Agree, guess age catches up 😔
Still an awesome movie 30 years later, wow
Michelle Yeoh, Oscar winner! Would love a remastered release of this.
The Blu ray and 4K special editions are out in a month.
Wow, this trailer came to mind when I was looking at another clip of Jackie Chan. I remember loving this trailer so much. Still holds up too. That wink he gives that soldier is still engrained in my memory from my childhood, mimicking that whole fight pose & * click click * haha
In my mind I replay that when serious sh*t about to go down and you're trying not to let it overburden your nerves. "In the end, it'll *probably* be okay!"
imo the best action movie ever
❤💛 you #JACKIE CHAN 1 Septillion times.
oof, the fact the trailer only says 'Jackie Chan' and not 'Michelle Yeoh' is a crime
I remember seeing this and thinking, "We all know Chan. Who is the woman????" I had to wait for the trailer to aire again because I only caught Maggie Cheung the first time and I knew it wasn't her.
the cop that cant be stopped
what's the matter, Danny?
never took a shortcut before?
In the Hong Kong version, Michelle Yeoh's character orders some "Paris water". That was cut from the US Dimension version.
Underrated
Dang this trailer is the best ! It also remind me of a character from Tekken 2 , the cop one ☝🏽. Awesome 👏🏽!
Our action films seem boring in comparison.
What's are the music at 0:14 & 0:37?.
I loved it ever since it was added to opening of the 1996 Rumble in the Bronx VHS tape.
I know at 0:37 is Orbital - Quality Seconds. But what about the music at 0:14 the start of the preview trailer?.
whats the music call on the tralier
Generic rubbish drums instrumental. why would anyone want to know?
@@spookyencounters9392 It's called Quality Seconds by Orbital.
@@pizzahighfive2612 how the hell did you find this? I've been wondering for about 20 years lol
@@pizzahighfive2612 Orbital was in all sorts of movie soundtracks and trailers back in the mid 90's, apparently! They were on "The Saint" as well.
1:24 lmao so much
Then the gun around the corner too 🤣
Сон га ин банк
0:37 what's the song
Song is Quality Seconds by Orbital.
fuck ya!!!! police story 3: supercop, now on Netflix
I would prefer you to watch the original HK Version (95 Mins) while the Miramax version (91 Mins) is cut which is of course on Netflix, Let me explain
After the success of Rumble in the Bronx, Miramax decided to release Supercop in theaters in the same way that Rumble was edited (89 Mins from 107 Minute version) with rap music slapped into the film, the English dub I think is kind of fine and I think the film's U.S score by Joel Mcneely is actually really good and the rap music in the end credits and outtakes are really good.
+Tue Nguyen thanks mate
***** ya i do remember about that from rumble in the Bronx i don't understand why they did that, its even repetitive when in the beginning Jackies uncle tells him to use his English but yet continues speaking in Chinese, so the dubbing doesn't look like it adds up correctly
Emmanuel Arce It was rather dumb for American distributors like Miramax to rip half an hour of a film and dub it into English and re-compose the original soundtrack and release it and it gets bad reviews, that's why Harvey Weinstein uses his scissors to cut a film in his own way, but I trust New Line Cinema for a better reason.
@@tdnguyen0413 idk man i remember when Rumble in the Bronx came out in the U.S. it was a hit. Everyone loved it at the time
If this is Police Story 3, where is Uncle Bill and Raymond?😥
Uncle bill is at the beginning of this movie.
Donde lo puedo ver completa?
a Supercop reboot with Tony Jaa/Lauren Mary Kim would be fucking BADASS.
This is so dumb. I LOVE IT!
when the heck was Kuala Lumpur the crime capital of the world???
