I think they do a good job on beautiful lyrics, and listen to that guitar solo.... i love it and so would freddie....anytime I listen to this I will still think of the wonderful gift he had and how much he has given to us..and thanks to all who have shared his gifts with us on youtube..
tribute to Freddie is always cool, nomatter who sings his songs! Freddie you were amazin thanks for the memories as long as there are spoting events we will forever here you beautiful echos from the hevens, where you are now an Angel!
Simply amazing cover! George Michael & Lisa Stansfield did an amazing rendition of one of my favorite songs of all time. I usually get teared-up when hearing this song and this performance was no exception. Brilliant.
ah lisa stansfield looks like a model, sings like an angel, opens her mouth to speak and she sounds like she ought to be in coronation street i love this version so much. george sounds fantastic, and lisa, well.... as always, just fantastic
people can do many tributes to queen as many can do their versions of gratest hits but it really dont counts on it. freddie you were the most close to an angel on the stage and i respect you, god bless you
Super Danke !!! Endlich und leider zu spät für mich.Wer nicht merkenwill, wirds auch nicht rip
The note that Lisa Stansfield hits at 4.00 sends shivers down my spine. I didn't even really care for this song but this version has made me really like it.
Truman Capote once said, "There has never been anybody like me and when I'm gone there will never be another." Freddie Mercury was the epitome of that statement. But I like to believe that he was looking down on George and Lisa and he was smiling.
One thing about George Michael is that he is able to put his own imprint to a song even when singing with someone else's arrangement. Detractors here might believe otherwise, but he's just being himself, and I believe it's a worthy performance...
Definately a fantastic performance, all credit to the 3 members of Queen who still went out there and gave their best even tho it was only a couple of months after freddie's death and i'm sure freddie would have more than appreciated the whole tribute gave to him! He deserved it and r.i.p freddie your sadly missed to this day!
i know for this song it would be hard for me not to cry, it's such an emotional song. freddie was so ill when he sang it, and this is the first time they performed it live and in tribute for him. i dont know why he would look cheerful doing this song.
Lisa Stanfield has a beautiful voice, but usually the songs she sings are usually boring. This song, however really shows her talent. A great song! Freddy Murcury would be proud!
well i think it was because this was one of the last songs freddie recorded and it was the first time they played wembley without freddie and the fact that freddie was very ill while this song was being put together if it was me i would be crying like fuck but very brave by queen god bless freddie brian roger and john.
I do not think George Michael was trying to be like Freddy on this tune, he was just singing a tribute to his friend. George Michael and Lisa Stansfield are just other very different great artists
Beautiful guitar....George Michael sounds great...somehow Lisa Stansfield does not sound as plugged into the song (just as she was in the rehersal clip).
you are talking about ryan white?(the kid.) and i guess im not explaining myself good. i was responding to someone who made a comment here and said why doesnt brian look cheerful. i just said i can understand why they dont look cheerful, since this song must bring back a lot of sad memories of when freddie was sick.
dont understand why some people always come up with comments like this is not as good as freddie's. everyone knows tht. nobody is trying to be freedie except ur silly assumptions. george michael's performace during that concert was undoubtfully one of the best and he certainly he cud have done better than paul rodgers.
Excelent job by the musicians of course. seriously tho. its like the purpusly god shitty vocalists in fear that some people may think they did a better job than freddie - WHICH IS IMPOSSIBLE -_-
Generic my ass! George Michael has one of the most naturally passionate voices to ever be recorded. He's probably the most undderrated vocalist of his generation due to his Pop image. Brian May and the other members of Queen commented after this Freddie Tribute that George was the one that did Freddie the most justice on this and Somebody to Love!
Lisa Stansfield spoils this performance for me. Her vocals sound incredibly insincere and i don't think she was a fan of neither Fredddie nor Queen. The singer, Sam Brown would have been a much better choice. I'm quite surprised she wasn't at least chosen as a backing singer for this concert. She would have been amazing no doubt about it.
he is without a doubt the best singer in the world
i truly wish he was here today. his voice is like nothing we will ever hear again
I think they do a good job on beautiful lyrics, and listen to that guitar solo....
i love it and so would freddie....anytime I listen to this I will still think of the wonderful gift he had and how much he has given to us..and thanks to all who have shared his gifts with us on youtube..

George Michael did and excellent job! Way to remember Freddy Mercury!
Love it! I think that Freddie would have loved it too. It showcases both Georges' and Lisa' natural talents.
Two classy performers, a classy backing combo and it's as good as it gets.
i still love you freddie.
it's a wonderful duett.
i just listened to the both...Freddy rocks this song ...george bites the dust !!! Rock on FREDDY where ever you are!!
No one can replace Freddie..i missed him so much huhuhu
QUEEN!! The best BAND!! The best solo!
Great rendition! Listen to that guitar wail. The drums! George, love your voice. Well spoken.
In my opinion this was the best song of the day! What a performance, Bad luck we never had the chance to listen to Freddie singing it live.
Brian May's guitar work is flawless.....as always.
I will never forget you, Barnesy.
Love,
L.
What a class-act of an elegant singer Lisa is!
Please get in the studio so we can hear more of you!
the perfect tribute to freddie as for as im concurne
simply the best!!!!
ah lisa stansfield
looks like a model, sings like an angel, opens her mouth to speak and she sounds like she ought to be in coronation street

I think they are both incredible singers.
i love it love it love it they were great, very moving performance
The sound of the Red Special is pure bliss...!
This is simply beautiful!!!
very nice! I miss you Freddie :(
people can do many tributes to queen as many can do their versions of gratest hits but it really dont counts on it.
freddie you were the most close to an angel on the stage and i respect you, god bless you
I LUV THIS VERSION!! AMAZING PERFOMANCE!! Thank you so much for posting this!!
omg yes! I just watched that video again.. and I was so amazed by his shear talent overriding all his pain and illness. thanks for mentioning this!
Super Danke !!!
Endlich und leider zu spät für mich.Wer nicht merkenwill, wirds auch nicht
rip
george was the best that evening!
what a goddamm great version!!!!
Lisa really rocks with george!!!!
Beautiful guitar solo and bassline too!
The note that Lisa Stansfield hits at 4.00 sends shivers down my spine. I didn't even really care for this song but this version has made me really like it.
at last I can watch this video! I've been looking for it like crazy! amazing performance of Freddie's farewell song
Forget all the Freddie vs GM, I still miss Freddie :'( RIP Fredie
I Love George Michael....
Brian's sound is unbelievable. WOW
this song is gonna be at my funeral
Grat performence.
Really great cover!!
Absolutely fantastic.
Beautiful performance! I love this song :°°
Freddie Mercury version is a million light years ahead of these two.
This is a wicked version beautiful he would have liked that i bet
Thank you for this whoever posted it!ty

Totally agree with you:-)
She's SO cute!
muy buen duo para esta cancion
Brian's solo is the best part of the song
George Michael is great singer.Lisa Stansfield is pretty woman.
We know Freddie has no replacement but George is the best option.
When it is known they can't do any better it is better to shut it. Regret watching this...
GodsSoldier1077
I would like to see George Michael as ill as Freddie singing this song
Lisa Stanfield has a beautiful voice, but usually the songs she sings are usually boring. This song, however really shows her talent. A great song! Freddy Murcury would be proud!
Beautifulki i`d like to be there !
That's a great comment fleccy,thanks.
Nagyon tetszik :-)
Look at the Mateusz Ziółko cover Queen!!!!!!! This is *************
this was probably the first time they performed this song
publicly
This was written way before Friends was even dreamt of.
Great vid.
John looks so sad the whole song... and also roger at 1:24
well i think it was because this was one of the last songs freddie recorded and it was the first time they played wembley without freddie and the fact that freddie was very ill while this song was being put together if it was me i would be crying like fuck but very brave by queen god bless freddie brian roger and john.

i keep wonderign how the members of queen can even concentrate id be in bits
wow you can speak irish! very fascinating^^
Beautiful guitar....George Michael sounds great...somehow Lisa Stansfield does not sound as plugged into the song (just as she was in the rehersal clip).
ohhh my geez
Great song!! great performance... is this concert was in 1991?
Nice duet. I thought they did a wonderful rendition.
@Riverortega
This was freddies tribute....i dont think anyone that night sung queens songs as well as freddie....but these two did alright :-)
you are talking about ryan white?(the kid.) and i guess im not explaining myself good. i was responding to someone who made a comment here and said why doesnt brian look cheerful.

queen new singer is not the same
it wasn't george who said it

you bet
WHO'S THE PRETTY WOMAN?
oh dear i hate this version wish they would play the original tbh u can not imitate a legend like Freddie Mercury
R.I.P Freddie we all miss u
Wrong, steels124, Freddy Mercury is and always will be THE VERY BEST.
Freddie*
Again this song was written in 1990-1991, Freddie died soon after. Queen stopped doing live shows in 1986. Stop being a troll.
Excelent job by the musicians of course.
seriously tho. its like the purpusly god shitty vocalists in fear that some people may think they did a better job than freddie - WHICH IS IMPOSSIBLE -_-
no curls
Wooh! George Michael really screwed up on this one. He was awesome in '39 though.
Generic my ass!

You sound pretty angry.....lol.
