After listening to this, I'm convinced someone needs to do a mashup of Led Zeppelin's "The Immigrant song" and "Bali Hai" from South Pacific.
Seriously, listen to the opening notes of "Bali Hai" and then listen to the "Immigrant Song." You'll never unhear it.

Absolutely! I wrote it for this group of amazing young musicians and we're all excited to be giving the debut performance here. I've found that the ARRANGEMENT makes all the difference - if the players have awesome parts to play, and the orchestra is doing things that only an orchestra can do, that's when a crossover song gains rather than loses something in the translation.
